IT’S A FACE OFF FOR 8TH PLACE and one that’s guaranteed to bring the house down at Ausgrid Stadium. Newcastle V Souths is shaping as a classic elimination match with the loser saying goodbye to the 2011 season. The Knights could have avoided the whole situation with a win last week which they seemingly had in the bag with a 16 point lead against the Bulldogs at halftime. The Bulldogs came storming home to snatch victory and send the Knights into this clash for the last spot in the finals against the Bunnies. The Rabbitohs had been on a hot run of form that came grinding to a halt against the Broncos last week.

I’m finding it near impossible to pick a winner here. Both teams will have to go hell for leather to keep their seasons alive and the only major advantage I can see for either team is Newcastle having the home ground advantage, but I’m not willing to invest money or suggest a best bet for this one. (Sorry punters!)

But either way, I’m sure that you, the fans, will get plenty of entertainment out of this one, bets or no bets.

Enjoy!!
