NRL Round 15 Previews and Betting Tips

Rabbitohs

Rabbitohs v Eels

Fri 17 Jun, 7:50PM, ANZ Stadium

Eels

The South Sydney Rabbitohs will take on the Parramatta Eels this Friday night after the embattled Parramatta club gave their fans a glimmer of hope with a win over the Titans last week. Conversely, the Rabbitohs will still be looking for the secret ingredient to consistency with the South Sydney club losing its past two games.
For Souths, Adam Reynolds and Greg Inglis will be absent due to Origin duties, while Bryson Goodwin has been ruled out with a broken arm. Damein Cook, Jack Gosiewski and Luke Keary will come into the side as cover. The Eels will swap out their lone NSW representative with Vai Toutai in the centres.
Both teams will go into this match with something to prove as Eels coach Brad Arthur will surely be desperate to maintain the morale of his troops. An outfit who were previously looking likely to push deep into the finals, the Eels will be playing for pride against a struggling Rabbitohs squad minus their Origin stars. Expect the Eels to get the points.

Betting Tip: Eels -2.0 @ $1.92 (Crownbet)

Dragons

Dragons v Storm

Sat 18 Jun, 7:30PM, WIN Stadium

Storm

The St George Illawarra Dragons will play the Melbourne Storm this Saturday night with the scintillating form of the Victorian club seemingly having no end after they smashed the Roosters last week 46-nil. The Melbourne outfit has been impressive throughout the year so far, but against a desperate Dragons outfit minus their Origin stars, the contest should be a lot closer than the bookies predict.
The Dragons have named an unchanged side for the clash, however Wade Graham’s suspension after being named as Boyd Cordner’s replacement in Origin II means that Tyson Frizell will be rushed into the Blues camp in the second row.
The Storm will be missing Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk to Origin, with Blake Green, Young Tonumaipea and Matt While all coming in as cover.
The rivalry between both teams will mean recent form won’t be much to go on but expect the Dragons to have the edge against an undermanned Storm side. With both sides excelling in defense it will be a tight contest, but the Dragons should get the points.

Betting Tip: Dragons Head to Head @ $1.67 (Pinnacle)

Warriors

Warriors v Roosters

Sun 19 Jun, 4:00PM, Mt Smart Stadium

Roosters

The New Zealand Warriors will host the Sydney Roosters this Sunday afternoon after the Kiwi club backed up from their emphatic win over the Broncos with a dominating performance against the Knights last week. It is encouraging signs for the New Zealand club and they look to be finding their groove as they look for their third consecutive win against a struggling Roosters outfit.
The Roosters will debut Joseph Manu on the bench with Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Chris Smith, Isaac Liu and Dylan Napa also coming into the squad. For the Warriors, Ken Maumalo will cover for the injured Manu Vatuvei while Toafofoa Sipley will come onto the bench for the Origin bound Jacob Lilleyman.
The Warriors will go into this match as heavy favourites after the Roosters’ capitulation to the Storm last week. While the Warriors may not be as clinical as their Victorian rivals, they certainly have the same attacking potential, so expect a high scoring performance from the New Zealanders as the Warriors make it three in a row.

Betting Tip: Total Match Points Over 44.5 @ $1.88 (William Hill)

Titans

Titans v Sea Eagles

Mon 20 Jun, 7:00PM, Cbus Super Stadium

Sea Eagles

The Gold Coast Titans will play the Manly Sea Eagles this Monday night with both teams coming off disappointing losses last round. Both clubs will be eager to capitalise on their limited representation during the Origin period and climb the NRL competition ladder.
Nathan Davis and Ryan Simpkins will come into the Titans side with Greg Bird absent for Origin, while the Sea Eagles will be missing Dylan Walker and the injured Nate Myles as Jaime Lyon, Liam Knight and Martin Taupau return to the side.
On recent form, the Titans look to be the favourites on the back of the fantastic form of halfback Ashley Taylor. Manly have been struggling since the injury to Daly Cherry-Evans but the return of Jamie Lyon at five-eighth will surely give the team more stability. The halves is where the Sea Eagles will lose the battle however so expect Ashley Taylor to lead the Titans to a win.

Betting Tip: Titans -6.5 @ $1.95 (Pinnacle
