Match Comments

West Ham vs Tottenham

The betting markets seem convinced that Spurs can keep winning away. We are not so sure. Their last match was a close call and they won by the narrowest of margins. It could be the same again here so it’s well worth backing West Ham in some way given they are an astounding 8.25 at home.

Man City vs Crystal Palace

The betting markets have given Palace an 8% chance of winning this game. That doesn’t seem right to us and this is backed up by the stats. Similar games have produced an away win 22% of the time. Add this to Palace’s form against high quality teams and this looks like a great value bet.

Bournemouth vs Stoke

There is not much to play for here with both teams almost certainly safe. There is some small value on the draw and this could suit both teams.

Burnley vs West Brom

Burnley could do with one more win to guarantee safety. There are no real value indicators in the stats and these games are too hard to call at the back of the season where really anything can happen.

Hull vs Sunderland

Sunderland are down, Hull are fighting for survival and who would back against them given their excellent home record. There is no value in their price however.

Leicester vs Watford

Another match featuring teams that are both almost guaranteed EPL football next season. Again there is no real value according to the stats. I’m not sure you could trust Leicester to get all 3 points at 1.68 so there is small value on Watford here.

Swansea vs Everton

This is a really interesting line up. Everton safe but with a poor away form against a fighting Swansea. The betting markets have these priced up as equal teams. The stats suggest there is value backing Swansea which is backed up by the aforementioned circumstances.

Liverpool vs Southampton

Again the betting markets look to have the pricing right here. At this stage of the season it all comes down to motivation. Southampton are safe. Liverpool playing for a top 4 finish. Liverpool start as heavy favourites which seems fair to us.

Arsenal vs Man United

According to the analysis there is no value backing Arsenal. There is value backing the draw or Man Utd. Both teams are motivated for a top 4 finish and Arsenal still have a chance given their games in hand. The stats suggest backing against Arsenal in some way.

Chelsea vs Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough must be the highest priced team all season for this match. Both teams need to win for opposite reasons. The draw looks an interesting proposition here given Middlesbrough have drawn 7 of their 17 away games. There is absolutely no value backing Chelsea and there are always risks in these type of games given the stakes are so high.
