Race 6:
Looking for a few to improve off wet tracks. POWDERWORKS always takes plenty of racing and now gets out to her best trip. Suited onto the dryer track, she’s ready to win one. ZASORCERESS will lift back on top of the ground. Expect her to be charging home. MONOGRAM gets out to her best trip. She’ll be ridden positive and runs it strong. MARAUDAMISS will give away a start and be steaming home. DUCHESS KATE is another that can lift getting off heavy tracks.
Race 7:
Loads of chances in a wide-open race. Looking for an improved run from GREVISTE back to this trip. If he can stay in touch from the good gate he should be hard to hold out. WIDGEE TURF backs up off a good fresh run. This is his best trip so he will charge home. FANFARON falls straight into the box seat. He gets another chance. URBAN RULER, JUST HIFALUTIN, TAN TAT BEAUTY, ZAMZAM and ATLANTIC EXPRESS all have some claims.
Race 8:
CRYSTAL DREAMER will enjoy the drop back to this trip getting onto his home track. Just off the hot pace, he’ll be strong and tough to get past. HUSSON EAGLE always fires fresh. Suited by the hot speed, he’ll charge home. MALIBU STYLE only has to hold his form to be tough to beat from just off pace. O’MALLEY will charge late so long as the track isn’t too firm.
Race 9:
KAPSET has been a different horse for the new stable. He doesn’t have to lead so a good ride somewhere on pace will have him tough to beat. STEGGLER will take a good step off his fresh run. Suited by the solid speed, he’ll charge home. IRISH OPTIMISM can take a good step off his first run in Australia. He’s clearly looking for at least this trip. GRAND DREAMER can charge home with some luck getting into the three wide line. Many more chances in a tough race.

RELIGIFY is resuming, his form was solid last preparation and he has a good record at this distance, he races well fresh and is in suited this company, watch the market. FEDERAL resumed solidly and will find this company easier, he hasn’t won for a year but this distance suits and he should be handy throughout. SIEGFRIED is racing very consistently and this is his home track, he should be prominent throughout. KUZNETSOVA is promising and her form is very consistent, she should be handy throughout. BEATNIKS rarely runs a bad race and gets blinkers, she will be running on.
Race 6:
NANCY has been racing well in Group company since resuming, she has been freshened by a recent trial and will find this easier, she should get a good run throughout. MADOTTI is resuming, she was in top form last preparation and her recent trial was strong, she races well at this track and should be closing late. ELEGANT COMPOSURE is resuming, she is unbeaten first-up and suited by this distance, she should be prominent. SAVOUREUX has been improved by recent racing in Group company, he last win was over a year ago in a Group 3 over this trip, she could show up.
Race 7:
MCCREERY will find this easier than recent Group 1 outings and should be suited by this distance, with Jeff Lloyd to ride he should get a good run throughout. IT’S SOMEWHAT is in top form since resuming winning Group 1 Doncaster last start, a recent trial was strong and this distance suits, he should get a good run throughout. SENSE OF OCCASION is racing well since resuming having placed in Group 1 company at both outings, this distance suits and he should be running on. CYLINDER BEACH rarely runs a bad race and should be up to this class, this distance suits and he can be in the finish.
Race 8:
HEROIC VALOUR is resuming, he is an NZedder who has placed at Group 1 level and is unbeaten in 3 outings at this trip, he races well fresh and his recent trial was solid, watch the market. ATTENTION is resuming and his trials have been strong, he was performing soundly at Group 1 level last preparation and this is easier, he may like longer but could show up for Jeff Lloyd. SAVANNA AMOUR won a Group 2 race at Caulfield last start and can show up fresh, she should get a good run throughout. TACTICAL ADVANTAGE battled last start but should find this easier, this distance suits and he should be prominent for Hugh Bowman.

Race 5:
Wow where to look for the girls here. D K Weir has a strong presence in the race, none more so than AMELIE’S STAR, she has been good since resuming from a very long break and should be fully fit now. Look for her late. HAVE ANOTHER GLASS could not have been more impressive resuming, looks to be in for a big campaign. This is obviously harder. CIRCULAR is better than her last start suggests and for fourth, LOPARTEGA can really accelerate for a furlong if saved for one run.
Race 6:
Capacity field for the Oaks, where to look. There doesn’t appear to be a great deal of pace in the race. KENEDNA was impressive in the lead-up, may settle closer with the good draw and lack of pace in the race. SEDANZER was good at her first look at the track, HARLOW GOLD is better than her last start suggests, improves here after featuring in the stewards’ report in Sydney and for fourth, SWORD OF LIGHT may benefit from the lack of tempo and get some cheap sectionals up front.
Race 7:
Capacity field here, they will go hard. If SHEIDEL can get up outside the leader and control the tempo she will be hard to run down. ENGLISH has been racing the best on the land, went close a couple back in the T.J.Smith. CAVALOCE was good last time and should get the right tempo to run on and should be big odds. If there is any rain around, SECRET AGENDA comes into calculations.
Race 8:
Another huge field and there looks to be a stack of chances. Play wide in the exotics and Quaddie. Those with a chance include KEN’S DREAM, MERRIEST, FUHRYK and DEFCON. No confidence in the race and need to see how the track is racing at this stage of the day.

Race 6:
BROTHER IN ARMS no luck in three Provincial Championship Qualifiers before a strong win at Kembla last start. Looks right up to city grade and shouldn’t be under-estimated. VIA NAPOLI won successive races at Randwick last preparation. Only warmed up late resuming last start and goes in everything here with the run under her belt. COLONEL CUSTER resumes and the winner of a Warwick Farm trial. Twice a winner first-up previously and goes in everything fresh here. LEVEL EIGHT has two from five this preparation with both wins coming on the provincial circuit. Has to be given a place chance in town with the Snowden polish.
Race 7:
NEW TIPPERARY hasn’t had much luck in four runs this preparation and has struck wet tracks on each occasion. Set to improve sharply here on a drier surface. HAPPY HANNAH nice effort at Flemington resuming three runs back but has struggled on heavy tracks in two subsequent starts. Expecting a sharp improvement on a drier track here. SONS OF JOHN runner-up in the JRA Plate at Randwick last start. Should be right at his peak and rates as one of the key chances. ALLERGIC placed in the Sky High and Manion Cup at Rosehill last two. Seven-weeks between runs but has trialed in the interim and a place hope again.
Race 8:
YUMA DESERT kept chasing when placed at Randwick resuming. Expecting a more aggressive ride from that gate and that will suit fitter second-up. PAINTE covered ground in the run before finishing on the placegetters heels at Randwick resuming. Placed three from four second-up and at least a place hope again. FINAL DECISION resumes on the back of a Warwick Farm trial win. Finished on the placegetters heels at Rosehill resuming last time in and a knockout hope at odds fresh here. TORPENHOW resumes and has had the benefit of two trials. Runner-up at Randwick in two starts last preparation and goes in the wider exotics here fresh.
Race 9:
IN TIMES OF WAR hasn’t finished worse than second in five starts including a Warwick Farm win this trip. Looked home at Canterbury last start. Gets the chance to go on better back to 1100m. BONNY O’REILLY resumes on the back of a Warwick Farm trial win. Wasn’t far from the winner at Canterbury resuming last campaign and looks ready to go fresh here. ROEINDA resumes and placed in latest trial at Randwick. Yet to miss a place in four first-up runs and goes in all the exotics fresh here. MAGNAJOY resumes and the winner of a recent Hawkesbury trial. Is a winner this track and distance and has won first-up previously. Will give a sight from an ideal gate.
