Ladbrokes Race Comments:

Race 6:
MELODY BELLE bolted in at Eagle Farm in the Sires Produce, she steps up to a mile but has won 4 of 6 starts and should be hard to hold off again. LORD CECIL battled on solidly at Randwick after a good Gold Coast run, he gets some gear changes and could be closing late. PIERATA is improving and gets blinkers, he may be suited by this distance and should be running on. TAKING AIM has performed well at both outings since resuming, he is awkwardly drawn again but has class and should be handy throughout.

Race 7:
SHOCKING LUCK disappointed last start but gets some gear changes and could improve from the good gate. VIOLATE has been racing well without winning, Noel Callow stays aboard and he can be in the finish. RUTHVEN has been running well in strong races but finding it hard to win, he should be handy throughout with Hugh Bowman to ride. ANA ROYALE was hampered in the Oaks last week and ran on well, she could show up.

Race 8:
ULMANN is in good form since resuming and trialled nicely recently, he has been kept fresh and with only 53.5kg can be in the finish. MACKINTOSH is resuming with blinkers, he too races best fresh, has won both starts here and should be prominent throughout for Kerrin McEvoy. CLEARLY INNOCENT bolted in at Eagle Farm, this will be harder on a firm track and from the poor draw will have to go back, he has to give them all weight but will be closing late. BURNING FRONT has been beaten only once in last 8 starts and has an impressive career win strike rate, this is harder and he would prefer a mile but will go forward and be hard to run down.

Race 9:
BENZINI won this race last year and whilst he may have preferred Eagle Farm he ran on well last start, should be improved and be hard to hold off. TOP OF MY LIST is in top form, she is up in class but is improving and should be prominent throughout. NEVERLAND battled away solidly last start and is improving in fitness, she has benefited from a recent trial and should be in the finish. CHOCANTE disappointed last start but could improve on this track and is well up to this on NZ form.

Ladbrokes Race Comments:

Race 6:
DOCKER PAV did a good job taking on seasoned open class stayers last start. Much better suited back to three-year-old grade, he’ll stay it strong and be tough to beat. KIWIA also drops well back in grade from taking on older horses. He’ll love the trip so looks a big danger. WINDBERN gets a perfect run. She’s a big player with the light weight. ALL OUT OF LOVE, ROYAL ORDER and SOLO HEART all have claims in a deep race.

Race 8:
OVERSTEP never runs a bad race and now she’s got the confidence off the win she should prove hard to hold out again. SACRED SHAM is a promising type coming off a luckless run. He won’t be far away and he’ll charge through the line. DAM READY looks set for a big fresh run over this trip and expect big improvement from INVINCIBLE AL on his best track. REMOVAL, LESSYD and NASDEX can all feature.

Race 9:
The bad gate might just serve to get us a better price about REWARDING EFFORT. Crying out for at least this trip and he goes back anyway. He’ll be screaming home late. NIKITAS wound up late looking for this sort of trip last start. He’s a big danger from the good gate. SCHISM gets in well with the claim, he fights out the finish from the good gate. URBAN RULER, ROSELLI STING and APPROVED ANGER all have some claims.

Ladbrokes Race Comments:

Race 6:
Hard to go past TEST THE WORLD. She has won all three starts this time in. On the back up here but looks the one to beat again. DAGNY is a winner two from four this preparation. Respect here on the quick back up from last Saturday. HEAVELY ANNA is a big improver here back out to the 1400m and on a wet track. . She was good late last start when dropped back in distance. WINE TALES resumes here. She has a decent fresh record and the form around her looks good for a race like this.

Race 7:
Open race with plenty of winning chances. THE MONSTAR kept coming despite having a tough run here last start. Peaks for this and excels on wet tracks. KUDERO was good winning here first up, beating a few of his opposition here. He drops 1/2kg on that win but needs luck from the draw. INZ’N’OUT battled on after leading her first up. Strips fitter and handles these conditions. GRUNDERZEIT is better than what he has showed in two runs this time in. Expecting a forward showing here.

Race 8:
CURRAGH is racing consistently in Melbourne, this looks no harder, gets in well after the 3kg claim and likes it wet. NOTHING BOX battled on in stronger company last start. This looks more suitable and handles these conditions. PELORUS JACK is aiming for four straight wins. He looks ready for the 2000m now. MORE ENERGY only has to repeat his last start Rosehill placing to go close here.

Race 9:
BRATISLAVA went back before running on strongly at Canterbury last start. Settles closer here from the rails draw and the bigger track suits. CLEAR THE BEACH was impressive winning at Rosehill first up. Has plenty of upside, just needs luck from the draw. PRO CONSUL resumes for a new stable. He loves it wet and has a good fresh record. FRANCESCO resumes for a new stable. He looks ready to go here after winning a recent trial.
