Race 8: DEPLOY

Ladbrokes Race Comments:

Race 5:
RUDY is racing soundly and will find this easier than recent Group outings, he has to give them all weight but should be hard to hold off and soft ground will suit. TUCANCHOO has been in good form in strong Sydney Saturday City company since resuming, this distance suits and he should be in the finish. PEMBERLEY battled on well in the Brisbane Cup, he is improving with racing and should be running on late. WAR BABY is a tough-as-teak mare backing up after bolting in last week at Ipswich, this is harder but she will keep them all honest.

Race 6:
RELIGIFY is in top form, he has to give them all weight but if the track is firm he will be able to set the tempo and be hard to run down again. ELLE LOU ran on solidly last start and meets RELIGIFY 7kg better, she should be running on. PAYROLL will get back but has only 54kg and should be closing late. MAN OF HIS WORD has been improved by recent racing and was held up last start, he too will get back but should be charging late.

Race 7:
ECKSTEIN is in top form and has a great strike rate, she is awkwardly drawn but if she gets cover will be strong late. TYCOON TARA was not far away in Dane Ripper, she has been improved by recent racing and can be in the finish. IN HER TIME was run down late in the Stradbroke after racing 3-wide and is badly drawn again, she rarely runs poorly and should be handy throughout. DANISH TWIST ran on solidly when resuming and will be improved, she ran unplaced last year but is well up to this class and should be running on.

Race 8:
FLIPPANT is resuming and races well fresh, her recent trial was strong and she should get a good run from the inside gate. DEPLOY has been in top form and should get a good run throughout, he meets DOTHRAKI 2kg worse but should be in the finish once again. DOTHRAKI is very honest but finds it hard to win, he has plenty of weight and the gate tests but with Damian Browne to ride should be handy throughout. BURNING PASSION won well on a heavy track at Eagle Farm, this is harder but he should get a good run throughout.

Ladbrokes Race Comments:

Race 6:
ABILITY was a big winner fresh charging home over the short trip. He’ll stay much closer here and will take holding out again. LAKE COMO is a star up the straight course. She’ll be just off pace and can go right on with it. ROUGH JUSTICE goes in everything off a good fresh run. MIGHTY LIKE and LITTLE INDIAN could be the best roughies but there isn’t a lot between a lot of these.

Race 7:
This looks perfect for REWARDING EFFORT to get back into the winner’s stall. Fit, out to the right trip and draws to stay in touch, he’ll be hard to hold out. HOT RUBY only needs some luck slotting in from the middle gate. In peak form, she’ll be the one to run down late. TRINITY HILL does no work, she can go in exotics. ELITE TIGER has some claims with any luck from the gate.

Race 8:
If CANNYESCENT has a touch of luck getting into the three-wide line he should take some beating with the light weight. TSHAHITSI comes off a huge win here at the trip. If he gets over cheap enough he’s tough to catch. ROYAL RAPTURE looks ready to bring his best, he’ll steam home. HARD CALL and LOYALTY MAN go in everything.

Race 9:
SAMOVARE is already a group three winner and she’s head towards better races than a lot of these. Suited to the mile off a big fresh run, she’ll be hard to beat. THE PASSAGE and GREVISTE bring similar form and there’s little between them with the weight turnaround. JAMINZAH could be the value and WIDGEE TURF goes in everything with many more having claims with some luck in running.

Ladbrokes Race Comments:

Race 6:
LIAPARI backs up after winning at Rosehill last Saturday. He drops in weight on that win, races well here and is unbeaten on heavy tracks. The stable mate MARENOSTRO looks the danger. He has done nothing in his past two starts. He has been freshened and since trialled well. Loves these conditions. Respect SOUND PROPOSITION here after failing in the Doomben Cup last start. Since had a change of stables and placed in a recent trial. OLD NORTH was placed in the Octagonal last start. A repeat puts him in the mix here.

Race 7:
SIR BACCHUS just missed here last start. He is rock hard fit and no dramas dropping back to the 1200m. Just needs luck from the draw. KUDERO has come back in fine style, winning first up before had too much too do here last start. Settles closer here and looks hard to hold out. TESSERA failed at Eagle Farm last start. He was unlucky at the Gold Coast prior. Looks up to a race like this. INZ’N’OUT has done enough in two runs back from a spell. Ready to win stepping up to the 1200m.

Race 8:
WILD ‘N’ FAMOUS has bumped into two smart ones in his past two starts. That form reads well for this. The one to beat. Stable mate LEVEL EIGHT was runner up behind PELETHRONIUS at Warwick Farm last start when covered additional ground. He meets him better at the weights. CLEAR THE BEACH just missed here last start after winning at Rosehill first up. Peaks for this and looks ready for the 1400m. PELETHRONIUS has won both starts this time in. He is unbeaten from three attempts on heavy tracks.

Race 9:
Big field, luck will play a part in the result. STAR CROSSED is sweating on getting a run. He resumes here after showing good ability on his four starts. He looks ready after winning a recent trial. ROSE OF MAN has been freshened since safely held in her past few starts. She races best on the fresh side, expecting her to run well here. SANGIOVESE won at Canterbury last start. She drops 1kg on that win and makes her own luck. WIDE ACCLAIM was impressive winning at Warwick Farm on a wet track last start, can win again.
