CHARLEVOIX was a different horse last start when the blinkers went on. Straight into a perfect run again from the good gate, he’s the one to beat. BULLISH STOCK is only just reaching his peak for this. The turnaround at the weights will have him charging at them late. HURSLEY will run his usual honest race and SHAKOPEE will be another big closer late.
Race 7:
PETROLOGY has been a different horse this prep with the only poor run being luckless. Still in ok at the weights, he’ll be hard to hold out. AMOVATIO was luckless last start. He’s a good weight carrier and likes this track, he’ll steam home. RHYTHM TO SPARE is flying, he only needs luck slotting in to run well. LOYALTY MAN, SOVEREIGN NATION and COLDSTONE amongst others have each-way claims in a tough race.
Race 8:
ABILITY has taken a big step this preparation as a gelding. He was luckless last start and still flashed late to make it two wins in a row. He’s clearly the one to beat. HUSSON EAGLE has been tested at this trip previously but he’s flying and if they can hold him up as long as possible he can flash home. TASHBEEH is well placed here kept fresh. He’ll run it strong if the inside is playing fair. ROUGH JUSTICE goes in everything and PLAY MASTER is a good roughie.
Race 9:
MY PAISANN was a big winner last week and looks even better suited getting out to the mile. If he’s come through the run ok he’s hard to beat from the good gate. URBAN RULER is airborne his last few starts. If he has any luck getting into the three-wide line he’ll charge home despite the big weight. JAMINZAH and TRUMP THIS were both good from the back last start, they both have more upside and there’s many more chances in a deep race.

SPENDING TO WIN hasn’t finished worse than fourth in six starts including a Canterbury win. Resumes here and has won both his trials. Looks ready to go fresh. LAUNCH CODE Canterbury runner-up in two runs in his first preparation and a strong winner at Warwick Farm resuming last start. Still plenty of scope for improvement and a winning chance again from a good gate. DIFFICULT TO GET won successive races at Wyong and Warwick Farm before finishing third at Randwick last start. Drawn well and expected to be right in the finish again. PARLAY VOUS resumes and should be fit enough after three trials
Race 7:
LIAPARI a Rosehill winner two runs back before placing at Randwick last start. Races well at the mile and one of the key players again. SO WILLIE is one of the most consistent horses around and a winner of his only start this track and distance. A must for all the exotics. OLD NORTH struggled on the heavy track at Randwick last start. Rosehill placing two runs back rates well for this and capable of improving sharply on a drier surface. ZAYAM much improved run at second run back from a break when runner-up at Randwick last start. Third-up form a query but may well lead here and that keeps him in the picture.
Race 8:
YOUR WAY resumes and has won seven from nine and unbeaten first-up. Has trialled nicely in two occasions leading into this and has to be a key player fresh. SANGIOVESE a Canterbury winner two runs back before finishing on the placegetters heels at Randwick last start. Gets all the favours in running from the gate and expected to be right in the finish again. HOT HIT will be right on the speed from the gate and likely to take plenty of running down. EMBLEY resumes on the back of a Warwick Farm trial placing. Yet to miss a place in three first-up runs and goes in everything fresh.
Race 9:
TIME OUT OF MIND has won two from five both at provincial tracks. Newcastle winner last start and shouldn’t be under-estimated here as he may well get a soft lead. NONPAREIL hasn’t finished worse than fourth in 13 career starts. A must for the wider exotics. HOLLYWOOD BOUND resumes on the back of a Rosehill trial win. Placed at Rosehill resuming last time in and looks ready for a forward showing fresh here.
