Unibet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 3:
EDUARDO (6) Had a comfortable win three runs back at Sandown and likely to be well placed early. Cannot underestimate. BONS AWAY (3) Put in a competitive run when placing 3rd last run at Flemington and will be motoring home late. Open to improvement and has a show in this field. SPENDING TO WIN (4) Really dug deep when winning last run at this venue and second up from a break. Among better hopes. QUILISTA (2) Finished 1.3L behind the winner at Flemington last run but has a positive barrier. One to watch and an each way chance
Selections: 6 Eduardo, 3 Bons Away, 4 Spending To Win, 2 Quilista

Race 5:
VERRY ELLEEGANT (6) Was all too good winning two runs back at Matamata and looks well graded here. Good chance in this event. GREYSFUL GLAMOUR (2) Won by a huge margin last run at Flemington but up in class. Has shown early pace in races to date. Could go well. YULONG METEOR (8) Got the cash when winning three runs back at Pakenham but facing a stronger class today. At least a place chance. PRESSURE (10) Was dominant when winning two runs back at Cranbourne but racing in stronger company here. Likes to settle forward. One for the each way players.
Selections: 6 Verry Elleegant, 2 Greysful Glamour, 8 Yolong Meteor, 10 Pressure

Race 6:
EXTRA BRUT (3) Displayed potential when winning last run at Flemington but facing a stronger class. Could take beating. THINKIN’ BIG (1) Did enough to win two runs back at Rosehill and looks well placed in this grade. Has shown early pace in races to date. Will go well here. SIKORSKY (10) Scored a victory two runs back at Sale but up against stronger competition here. Been in the money 3 from 4 attempts this campaign. Keep in mind. DEAL MAKER (6) Showed a good turn of foot when 2nd two runs back at Rosehill and looks well placed in this grade. Has a great burst of speed late. Can’t be left out of trifectas.
Selections: 3 Extra Brut, 1 Thinkin’ Big, 10 Sikorsky, 6 Deal Maker

Race 7:
BEST OF DAYS (7) Was fighting out the finish when winning three runs back at Randwick. Jockey James Mcdonald is in form for this stable. Must be considered. TRAP FOR FOOLS (3) Was first to greet the judge when winning three runs back at Moonee Valley and drops back to a suitable grade. Has shown early pace in races to date. Contender. PRIZED ICON (2) Ran 4th last start at this venue and rising in class. In the mix. SIXTIES GROOVE (6) Having second run back from a spell. Did enough to win two runs back at Flemington and suited by the weight drop. Market watch advised.
Selections: 7 Best Of Days, 3 Trap For Fools, 2 Prized Icon, 6 Sixties Groove

Race 8:
KINGS WILL DREAM (14) Has been consistently running well behind some top performers. Won impressively in only attempt at the 2400m and gets a soft run from the draw, likely favourite. YOUNGSTAR (18) All roads lead to a peak performance in this race. Should go very well with the significant drop in weight. THE CLIFFSOFMOHER (2) Produced an eye catching run at Caulfield and is likely to take improvement from that run. Can be played on an each-way basis. HOMESMAN (13) Racing in good form previous to last start. With the step up in trip and drop in weights, you can expect a better performance today.
Selections: 14 Kings Will Dream, 18 Youngstar, 2 The Cliffsofmoher, 13 Homesman

Race 9:
INVINCIBELLA (3) Did enough to win last run at Flemington and tracking very well this campaign. Might take a while to wind up but should be hitting top gear in the straight. Sure to be thereabouts again. SAVATIANO (11) Was fighting out the finish when winning three runs back at Wyong. Genuine winning chance. ELLICAZOOM (9) Chimed in with a win two runs back at the track and can go through the gears. Right in this. PROMPT RESPONSE (1) Having second run back from a spell. Landed the spoils when winning two runs back at Doomben and will be positive in the run early. Strong each way bet.
Selections: 3 Invincibella, 11 Savatiano, 9 Ellicazoom, 1 Prompt Response

Race 10:
PEACEFUL STATE (5) Rocketed home into 2nd two runs back at Moonee Valley and will be hitting the line strongly. Prominent showing expected and won’t be far off them. DREAMFORCE (6) Having second run back from a spell. Brave effort to win two runs back at Rosehill and hard to fault at this distance. Massive hope. TOM MELBOURNE (7) Caught the eye when 2nd three runs back at Randwick and has been racing in stronger company. Should come to hand quickly. Can go on with it. CRACK ME UP (1) Having third run back from a spell. Below par when 7th last start at Flemington. Not without claims.
Selections: 5 Peaceful State, 6 Dreamforce, 7 Tom Melbourne, 1 Crack Me Cup

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 3:
SPEED: 5 can fly and leads 2 and 8 here. This may be tricky given key runners are back in trip into a (likely) fast-run 1000m race. EDUARDO was terrific with weights dead against him in the Gilgai and meets those he defeated (namely QUILISTA and BONS AWAY) better at the weights today. SPENDING TO WIN ran down Eduardo fresh off a hot speed, so that ties in nicely. His second-up form is good and he’s dropped to 1000m in the past and won. If SUPER TOO is right she can take some serious catching. MISS LEONIDAS and SHE KNOWS have a case.
Selections: 6. Eduardo, 4. Spending To Win, 3. Bons Away, 2. Quilista

Race 5:
SPEED: 2 may lead 4. 6, 10, 13 can be handy. 7, 12, 16 up there also? VERRY ELLEEGANT was badly blocked at her Oz debut just as winner Amphitrite was full of momentum. Said winner then, of course, won the G1 Thousand Guineas. This girl was right up alongside her soon after the line at Flemington. ARISTIA was alongside Verry Elleegant and going well into the straight but totally luckless! DARK CONFIDANT went over the line very nicely that same race: best roughie here? GREYSFUL GLAMOUR won well here latest but YULONG METEOR did charge late in a mostly on-pace race. FUTOOH has a case for sure.
Selections: 6. Verry Elleegant, 3. Aristia, 8. Yulong Meteor, 9. Dark Confidant

Race 6:
SPEED: 1 may lead but 7, 9, 10, 12 can all be right up there. 2, 8, 11 handy. THINKIN’ BIG worked early in the Spring Champion and still gave a nice kick before being run over late. He beat fourth easily. Sixth was DEALMAKER, who was way back and held up. He made good ground and his run was better than it looks on paper. EXTRA BRUT was dominant in the UCI Stakes even though he came from the back while 2nd, 3rd, 4th all raced handy. Two of those, SIKORSKY and LOUIE THE LEGEND, are here. Sikorsky ran super chasing a strong speed. CHAPADA is very promising! His Savoire form ties in easily!
Selections: 12. Chapada, 3. Extra Brut, 1. Thinkin’ Big, 6. Dealmaker

Race 7:
SPEED: 3 the likely leader. 8 led this last year. 2, 6, 9, 10 can all be handy. Many hopes. TALLY had good closing splits second up in the Group 1 Turnbull. TRAP FOR FOOLS was brave there going down less than 2L to Winx. SIXTIES GROOVE is two-zip over Trap For Fools. BEST OF DAYS just missed Furrion here and 2000m is no issue. MAHAMEDEIS was right behind Furrion when they clashed here in May. SIR JOHN LAVERY was luckless fresh. he’s quickly to 2000m but in the right stable for that challenge. PRIZED ICON was wide/gallant here last time. No recent wins the knock.
Selections: 7. Best Of Days, 6. Sixties Groove, 3. Trap For Fools

Race 8:
SPEED: 13, 7 from 4, 6 then 1, 8, 14. THE CLIFFSOFMOHER was left behind when the sprint went on in the Caulfield Stakes then recorded very strong closing figures. He’s done well off a quick back-up. Worth noting RED VERDON beat him home when they clashed in June (both ran very well). YOUNGSTAR looked a slightly better run than KINGS WILL DREAM in Turnbull and may have more upside but again both went super. BEST SOLUTION has world-class form but draws out. SOUND CHECK chased him last time. VENTURA STORM best roughie? NIGHT’S WATCH promising but first go 2400m in Caulfield Cup? HOMESMAN in quad.
Selections: 2. The Cliffsofmoher, 18. Youngstar, 14. Kings Will Dream, 9. Red Verdon

Race 9:
SPEED: 1, 7 from 6, 8 with 11, 12, 14 handy? INVINCIBLE GEM ran 32.8 her last 600m fresh and finished near Redzel in track-record time. To 1400m back against her own sex. PROMPT RESPONSE beat her home in the Tatts Tiara in June. Fitter for the first-up run, she’s better suited this weight-scale. INVINCIBELLA was right on their heels in that Tatts Tiara and comes off a big win. In fairness, SAVATIANO should have finished alongside her there. SHUMOOKH is better suited 1400m, form ties in. BOOKER beat Shoals her one go 1400m. ELLICAZOOM can win. BRING ME ROSES, ALOISIA hopes (may need further?).
Selections: 4. Invincible Gem, 6. Booker, 11. Savatiano, 3. Invincibella

Race 10:
SPEED good with 2, 3, 4, 7, 9 all capable of leading. PEACEFUL STATE was excellent fresh powering through the line behind Land of Plenty then had no hope from back and wide in the Rupert Clarke. MR SNEAKY ran on very nicely in that Rupert Clarke when ridden colder. This looks the perfect race for him. DREAMFORCE is better suited at 1400m and good enough. Please yourself re TOM MELBOURNE. CRACK ME UP and PERAST both ran well in the Group 1 Stradbroke and are in the mix here. SIRCCONI has a case also.
Selections: 5. Peaceful State, 8. Mr Sneaky, 6. Dreamforce, 1. Crack Me Up

Betfair – Race Analysis & Selections:

Race 3:
EDUARDO won both races in debut campaign and has returned with two second placings, the most recent behind I Am Excited in the G2 Gilgai. That form reads well for this today and the drop back to 1000m should suit. Goes on top ahead of MISS LEONIDAS who returned with a third placing over this C/D last start. Drawn the rails today and will take running down. BONS AWAY comes out of the same two races as Eduardo, competitive on both occasions and will be prominent.
1. Eduardo (5 stars)
2. Miss Leonidas (4 stars)
3. Bons Away (4 stars)

Race 5:
GREYSFUL GLAMOUR followed up some good form with a last start win over 1800m at Flemington. Has since finished third in a Wariwck Farm barrier trial and up to the 2000m for the first time today will be very hard to beat. YULONG METEOR resumed well with a win before going on to finish runner up in her last two, the most recent behind Greysful Glamour. FUTOOH did not measure up in Group 1 company last start but can bounce back in this.
1. Greysful Glamour (5 stars)
2. Yulong Meteor (4 stars)
3. Futooh (4 stars)

Race 6:
DEALMAKER was fair from disgraced in the Group 1 Spring Champion last start when midfield on the back of two placings in group company. Drawn to get the rails run today and will be hard to beat. EXTRA BRUT finished runner up on debut before going on to win his next three, the most recent over 1800m at Flemington in listed company. Expect a strong showing once again with SIKORSKY next best after running second to Extra Brut last start.
1. Dealmaker (5 stars)
2. Extra Brut (4 stars)
3. Sikorsky (4 stars)

Race 7:
BEST OF DAYS has been in terrific form of late, winning three starts back and placing in two runs since. Not beaten far when runner up to Furrion over 1700m last start and should relish the step up to 2000m now. Goes on top ahead of TRAP FOR FOOLS who put two wins together earlier in the preparation and has not been far away in two runs since. Big chance in this with SIR JOHN LAVERY second up and over a suitable trip.
1. Best Of Days (5 stars)
2. Trap For Fools (5 stars)
3. Sir John Lavery (4 stars)

Race 8:
KINGS WILL DREAM has been building nicely this campaign and has drawn to get a good run just forward of midfield. Has placed in Group 1 company his last three outings and getting out to the 2400m now fifth up he looks extremely well placed and rates on top. YOUNGSTAR went one better than Kings Will Dream in the Turnbull last start following her third placing in the Shannon Stakes. Looks another that will be peaking at the right time but won’t get things as easy today as she did last start. THE CLIFFSOFMOHER backs up quickly following his second placing to Benbatl over 2000m last start. Placed in 2/3 at the trip and despite the weight will be very competitive.

Race 9:
INVINCIBLE GEM resumed pretty well in the Premiere Stakes when sixth, beaten just over two lengths. Likely to improve on that effort up to the 1400m now and will be very hard to beat in this. INVINCIBELLA has won two of her three outings this campaign, the most recent in Group 2 company at Flemington last start. Goes very well over this trip and will be in the mix. BOOKER backs up quickly following a second placing to Winter Bride last week and is next best.
1. Invincible Gem (5 stars)
2. Invincibella (4 stars)
3. Booker (4 stars)

Race 10:
PEACEFUL STATE was very good when runner up to Land OF Plenty resuming before having no luck in the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke last time out. Easier today and if he runs up to best form will be hard to beat. MUSIC MAGNATE was good in the Bill Ritchie before having excuses in the Premiere pulling up lame. Drawn well for this and expect him to bounce back. MR SNEAKY could make his way into the finish fourth up from a spell now.
1. Peaceful State (5 stars)
2. Music Magnate (4 stars)
3. Mr Sneaky (4 stars)

Ladbrokes – Race Comments:

Race 3:
EDUARDO has won or placed in all races to date and has shown early speed in races to date, perfectly placed. MISS LEONIDAS placed last start at Caulfield when fresh. Will come to hand quickly and a winner when last second-up at Ballarat, the real danger in the race. QUILISTA won four of 12 as a favourite and Damian Lane has had success aboard previously, dangerous. SPENDING TO WIN can’t knock the form winning two in a row at Caulfield and Sunshine Coast, could threaten.

Race 5:
VERRY ELLEEGANT has been flying of late and amongst the placegetters last start running third in the Edward Manifold Stks, well placed. GREYSFUL GLAMOUR placed at trial since last race 24 days ago and all wins have come when faced with dry ground, in with a chance. SCENIC SIGHT made ground late to win last start at Ballarat and two wins from five attempts this campaign, the real danger in the race. ARISTIA draws to do no work and capable of finising strongly, could upset.

Race 6:
EXTRA BRUT looking to make it four in a row after another win at Flemington last start and all three wins have come in the dry, serious player. THINKIN’ BIG only able to place as favourite last start in the Spring Champion Stakes on a soft track but has been flying of late, looks threatening. SIKORSKY winner at Sale and placed twice this campaign, strong place chance. DEALMAKER drawn ideally and has two placings from three runs this prep, place claims.

Race 7:
BEST OF DAYS has won at Randwick and placed twice this prep, key chance. SIXTIES GROOVE placed last start at Ballarat on a soft track when resuming and goes down in weight, in with a chance. PRIZED ICON ran fourth last start at Caulfield and should race on the speed, quinella. SAMOVARE placed last start in the Stocks Stakes and up in journey, strong place chance.

Race 8:
Stand-out between the top two picks. HOMESMAN on a seven day back-up and Winner of the Underwood Stakes this prep, commands respect. YOUNGSTAR narrowly beaten at long odds last start in the Turnbull Stakes. Won once and placed twice in three Group I races, right in this. KINGS WILL DREAM placed last start in the Turnbull Stakes and has placed in all Group I attempts to date, still in this. THE TAJ MAHAL has the speed to overcome a very wide draw, looks threatening.

Race 9:
INVINCIBELLA 2 wins from three attempts this campaign and last start winner in the Blazer Stakes, genuine contender. SAVATIANO has won at Wyong and placed in all other attempts this campaign, could threaten. PROMPT RESPONSE rates highly with Damien Oliver aboard and likely to race on the speed, don’t treat lightly. ELLICAZOOM was narrowly beaten as a favourite last start at Caulfield and a winner at first outing this prep, quinella.

Race 10:
PEACEFUL STATE placed when fresh and won three of four as a favourite, has solid claims. MR SNEAKY placed once this prep at Moonee Valley and three of five wins have come from dry ground, could upset. PERAST generally races near the speed and two of four wins have come from dry ground, needs the breaks. DREAMFORCE drawn ideally, not the worst.

Neds – Suggested Runners:

Runners are listed in number order, not order of preference.

Race 7: 2 Pecans, 3 Eckstein, 8 Test The World, 10 Dyslexic

BetEasy – The King’s Tips:

Race 7:
5. Epidemic (3 stars)
3. Eckstein (3 stars)
1. Egyptian Symbol (3 stars)
9. Resin (3 stars)

Unibet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 7:
ECKSTEIN (3) Nice effort when winning last start at Flemington and will be well suited at the trip. Respect. DYSLEXIC (10) Resuming after a break. Stormed home when 2nd two runs back at this course. Definite winning chance. PECANS (2) Fresh here. Won narrowly three runs back at Hawkesbury and will be aiming for a soft run from the draw. Keep in mind. RESIN (9) Dominant winner last time at Rosehill and can go through the gears. Minor prospects.
Selections: 3 Ecstein, 10 Dyslexic, 2 Pecans, 9 Resin

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 7:
EGYPTIAN SYMBOL should do as she did when she led the Toy Show three starts ago. 8 can cross over handy and that might leave PECANS to follow the leader. Her last four wins have come from outside half barriers and seen her sit outside the leader but hopefully she can adapt to a slightly different approach and still run as well fresh as she normally does. TEST THE WORLD another fresh mare that will have the opportunity to be on-speed. RESIN dropped back to a Wednesday race last time but won it accordingly. Trails nicely here and very happy with give in the ground as well.
Selections: 2. Pecans, 8. Test The World, 9. Resin, 3. Eckstein

Betfair – Race Analysis & Selections:

Race 7:
Good competitive mares’ event with a number of differing form-lines converging in this year’s Group 3 Nivison. ECKSTEIN followed up on her solid effort two back, when simply too good at Flemington last start over 1400m. Drops back in trip off the back of that, but rates highly and while likely to get back from the draw, she should be strong late. DYSLEXIC is unbeaten fresh and has trialled like a bomb in the lead up. Rates highly on her form behind Moss Trip last preparation and looms as a major threat. PECANS also has to be kept safe in her return.
1. Eckstein (5 stars)
2. Dyslexic (4 stars)
3. Pecans (4 stars)

Ladbrokes – Race Comments:

Race 7:
PECANS Has a solid record with five wins and five placings from her 15 starts and resumes on the back of a close third in a Warwick Farm trial. Won first-up last preparation and looks primed for another big run fresh here. ECKSTEIN Is back from Melbourne after winning the Paris Lane Stakes over 1400m at Flemington last start. Back to 1200m looks the only concern. TEST THE WORLD Is a consistent mare resuming for Bjorn Baker and has had the benefit of a trial. She is yet to miss a place in four first-up runs winning twice and is a must for the wider exotics. DYSLEXIC Puts an unbeaten first-up record on the line for Team Hawkes on the back of a close second in a Rosehill trial and has to be respected fresh.
