Unibet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 7:
SKY BOY (13) Did a good job when winning last run at Rosehill and goes down in weight. Honest enough customer who is strongly placed. MY NORDIC HERO (5) Third up. Brave effort to win last start at Rosehill. Keep an eye on the market. GAULOIS (14) Strong form third up winning 2 from 3 runs. Did a good job when winning three runs back at Randwick but rising in class. Minor prospects. INTERLOCUTER (7) Really dug deep when winning last start at Goulburn and proven runner at this trip. Generally when jockey James Mcdonald teams up with trainer James Cummings they go well together. Can figure in the finish
Selections: 13 Sky Boy, 5 My Nordic Hero, 14 Gaulois, 7 Interlocuter

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 7:
The famous Villiers Stakes is always a ripper race and this year is no different. Pace can come from 1, 2, 13 and 11. 9 and 14 not far away either. I find myself liking SAMBRO a fair bit. Just edged out in a lesser race when last seen but he has never run poorly at Randwick (without winning!) and I am firm in the belief the same will be the case after this is run. He’s had a couple of soft trials since his 2nd to Torgersen and the 7 weeks doesn’t faze me at all. Remember he was 6 weeks into that latest run and won the QLD Guineas at 1600m after a similar break. Two years ago in this race all placegetters were off 6 and 7 week breaks.
Selections: 10. Sambro, 7. Interlocuter, 1. Fabrizio, 6. Aloisia

Betfair – Race Analysis & Selections:

Race 7:
Cracking race with a near capacity field set to face the starter in this year’s Group 2 Villiers Stakes. SKY BOY is absolutely airborne having won his last four straight. This has always been the Grand Final and while an unusual preparation, he comes here fresh and is certainly well set up to run a strong mile. Gets in with no weight and should prove very hard to beat. GAULOIS took a good step forward last start as while unable to wear down Arraignment, his performance still held merit and he should be right at his top racing third up. He too is drawn to get a lovely run and looms as a major threat. DOUBT DEFYING is also in great form this prep and appears the next in line.
1. Sky Boy (5 stars)
2. Gaulois (4 stars)
3. Doubt Defying (4 stars)

Ladbrokes – Race Comments:

Race 7:
SKY BOY looking to make it five in a row after another win at Rosehill last start and won all previous races as a favourite, genuine contender. INTERLOCUTER coming off a win at Goulburn and won five of eight as a favourite, looks threatening. DOUBT DEFYING in strong form with two wins from three attempts this campaign and returns to shorter trip, each-way claims. MY NORDIC HERO bolted in last start at Rosehill and rates highly with Hugh Bowman aboard, sneaky chance.
