Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 6:
LYRE (14) Had a break from racing and returns to competition. Dashed home into 3rd last start at Morphettville and shows good closing speed. This field suits. SUPERSTORM (2) Solid effort when winning three runs back at Ascot but first run back from a break. Might take a while to wind up but should be hitting top gear in the straight. Better claims. GARNER (6) First up after a break. Handy enough when winning two runs back at Morphettville but rising in grade. Well placed and has solid claims. DIAMOND EFFORT (13) Resumes from a break. Game effort to win last time at the track and hard to fault at this distance. Could be a value selection.

Race 7:
TAGALOA (1) Fought on gamely when winning three runs back here but fresh after a break. Should just about get the run of the race. Interesting gear change of blinkers on first time. Ready to win. IMMORTAL LOVE (10) Racing fresh after a break. Gave nothing else a chance when winning last time at Flemington but facing a stronger class today. Suited. OUR PLAYBOY (3) Having second run back from a break. Winner last start around here but rising in weight. Solid each way claims. FLYING AWARD (7) Brave effort to win last start at Flemington and always seems to find the line well. Don’t disregard.

Race 8:
SIRCCONI (8) Was dominant when winning three runs back at Flemington and dropping in class. Should be going forward early. Big chance. GAME KEEPER (14) Having second run back from a break. Fought on well to win two runs back at Flemington and gets a favourable alley. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Top prospects against this opposition. PLEIN CIEL (11) Did enough to win three runs back at Moonee Valley. Has run into the money 3 from 4 attempts this campaign. Looks to have a good chance of placing. SHANDY (16) Solid win last run at Sandown and having third run back from a spell. Very tidy this campaign winning 2 from as many attempts. Underrated.

Race 9:
BEHEMOTH (7) Landed the spoils when winning last run at Morphettville and possesses good closing speed. Looks well suited in this race. SAVATIANO (13) Fought on gamely when winning last run at this course and displays good tactical speed. Must be considered. ARCADIA QUEEN (12) Second up from a break. Sent around at $6 and ended up 2.55l from the winner around here last run on a soft track and rising in grade. Worth a bet. MYSTIC JOURNEY (11) Races well second up winning 3 from 4 starts. Was average finishing 8th last time at the track but easy to come into at the trip. Should land a nice spot just off the speed. Place hope.

Race 10:
RUBISAKI (1) Won narrowly last time at Randwick and always seems to find the line well. Has to be strongly considered. BLESS HER (12) Winner last time at the track but rising in class. Flawless this campaign with 5 wins from 5 starts. Can figure in the finish. PRETTY BRAZEN (2) Had a break from racing and returns to competition. Brave effort to win three runs back at Sandown but hoping that the added weight won’t hurt. Should enjoy a cosy run off the pace. Minor prospects. PERFECT JEWEL (4) Nice effort when winning two runs back at Belmont and will be trying to topple them late. In the mix.

Race 10:
1. Rubisaki, 12. Bless Her, 14. Street Icon, 11. She Shao Fly

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 6:
SPEED: 4, 1, 3 mainly. CRYSTAL DREAMER placed in a very fast Oakleigh Plate fresh in February. SUPERSTORM can win a big race this prep but 1100m is likely too sharp for him. BANQUO held on well in a G1 Newmarket the last time we saw him. That was his first run in blinkers. He jumped out well, easily beating LYRE, but Lyre was given a very quiet time. Lyre’s last two with blinkers on have been terrific, She wasn’t far off HUMMA HUMMA in the Bel Esprit here in April (without blinkers) and Humma Humma looked sharp in her jumpout. DIAMOND EFFORT walked in fresh last prep; jumpout: good!
Selections: 14. Lyre (value bet), 7. Banquo, 1. Crystal Dreamer, 12. Humma Humma

Race 7:
Every runner is first or second up. TAGALOA has to give them all weight but he is the best performed horse and has jumped out well for his return. HARD LANDING beat him on debut and returned with a solid win at MV. OUR PLAYBOY ran down RANTING in the Vain here. His last 200m was dominant. They’ll both be fitter but have to think it’s advantage Our Playboy at 1200m off that run? FLYING AWARD has a future, liked his jumpout. IMMORTAL LOVE thrashed Showdown winner KHOEKHOE in March. He jumped out with NATIONAL CHOICE (maybe pick of them?) & RATHLIN. BRANDERS RULE, ALBARADO must have claims.
Selections: 1. Tagaloa (top tip), 3. Our Playboy, 7. Flying Award, 2. Hard Landing

Race 8:
SPEED: 8, 12 from 4, 11, 16 with 13, 14 up there? SIRCCONI showed great fight in G2/WFA Lawrence Stakes last time and gets to 1700m (no issue) in a race full of first-up/second-up stayers. GAME KEEPER went super fresh in an Aurie’s Star. He’s sharply to 1700m but did win well at 1500m second up last prep. Good horse. If MIRAGE DANCER runs to his Peter Young placing here in Feb he goes very close. It was outstanding! PLEIN CIEL is honest and chased THINK WE’RE DUE hard here latest. SHANDY is flying. DR DRILL a hope. Liked dash shown by CONSTANTINOPLE in jumpout. MANTASTIC can run well also.
Selections: 8. Sircconi (top tip), 14. Game Keeper, 2. Mirage Dancer, 3. Constantinople

Race 9:
SPEED: 10, 5 can lead 13, 8 with 15 up there. 7, 9 can sit closer also. Giving ARCADIA QUEEN another go. She raced too “fresh” first up and battled well her first go on soft ground. Fitter/drier with freshness edge off her I’m hoping to see the real thing! BEHEMOTH impressed with his return win in Spring Stakes. He beat Arcadia Queen in the Golden Eagle despite a wide run. CASCADIAN was terrific fresh against tempo in inferior ground chasing stablemate SAVATIANO. MYSTIC JOURNEY a total forget run there. MR QUICKIE was outstanding fresh two preps back behind Mystic Journey.
Selections: 12. Arcadia Queen (top tip), 7. Behemoth, 9. Cascadian, 11. Mystic Journey

Race 10:
SPEED: 9, 15 from 10, 12? RUBISAKI is very difficult to tip against! She was a brilliant winner fresh last prep and jumped out nicely. MADAM ROUGE is high-class and is trialling well. BROADWAYANDFOURTH can win on her Euclase Stakes run. MISSILE MANTRA trialled and jumped out well. She was 1.4L off Probabeel and Funstar back in February in fast time. BLESS HER is flying and match-fit. SHE SHAO FLY and PERFECT JEWEL head a stack of other hopes.
Selections: 1. Rubisaki (top tip), 3. Madam Rouge, 8. Missile Mantra, 5. Broadwayandfourth

Rosehill

Unibet – The Professor:

Race 5: Anders
Race 8: Mugatoo

Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 5:
ANDERS (3) Having second run back from a spell. Was very impressive when winning last start at this venue and should muster plenty of early toe. Expect bold showing and to run very well. PELTZER (5) Had a comfortable win last start at Randwick and expecting to settle positively. Good chance in this event. MAMARAGAN (1) Back from spell. Got the cash when winning three runs back at Randwick and looks well placed in this grade. Serious player. DOUBTLAND (2) First up from a break. Thrashed the field when winning last time at Randwick. Winning claims.

Race 7:
OVERLORD (4) Flashed home late into 2nd two runs back at Randwick and finishes off strongly. Deserves a win. KUMASI (3) Second up. Game effort to win three runs back at Gosford but facing a stronger grade. Must respect in this event. HOLYFIELD (1) Having second run back from a spell. Finished on top three runs back here. Solid each way claims. AIM (2) Second up from a break. Forgive the run when 6th at Canterbury. Should improve and will benefit with the weight drop. Underrated.

Race 8:
MUGATOO (3) Won last run here and displays good closing speed. A win looks likely. TAIKOMOCHI (2) Got the cash when winning last time at Randwick. Should be going forward early. Don’t disregard. MUSTAJEER (1) Resuming from a break. Nice run when placing 2nd two runs back at this track but rises in weight. Market watch advised. GIRL TUESDAY (11) Produced an eye catching run when 2nd last run at Hawkesbury. Will be giving the leaders a big start. Place wouldn’t shock.

bet365 – Suggested Play:

Race 5: Peltzer
Race 7: Overlord
Race 8: Mugatoo – best bet of the day

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 5:
The highlight of the day sees only a small field but boy there are some exciting colts (and one filly) stepping out here. EVERY ROSE has taken a trail in both her winning trials recently so I presume she will do the same here. That leaves the lead to be fought over between ANDERS and PELTZER. They have met before of course, in a Kembla Maiden in which neither had the front. Both unbeaten since and have raced forward to that success. No doubt ANDERS impressive a fortnight back but this is potentially a different test on dry. I’m a little worried that MAMARAGAN might be last in the run but his first prep was amazing and he has trialled wonderfully. He is high grade, no doubt.
Selections: 1. Mamaragan (Best of the Day), 5. Peltzer, 3. Anders, 4. Every Rose

Race 7:
One of the highlights of the day but boy it is one tricky race this. My thoguht is that KUMASI could try and be positive today, with HOLYFIELD crossing up as well. Doubt they race along though. Frankly I don’t know where to turn. KUMASI a chance but 1100 to 1400m which I never love. Clearly OVERLORD has talent (two 2nds to Peltzer and a top four finish in a G1 from barrier 17) but he is a duffer at the getaway and even in a smallish field could get cluttered up inside. In four race starts and six trials I count only one in which he has jumped out acceptably. Off H10, and positioning forward, HOLYFIELD could make a bid. OSCAR ZULU finished off OK in the same race. ACHIEVER has form with OVERLORD but is he ready fresh?
Selections: 3. Kumasi (top tip), 4. Overlord, 1. Holyfield, 8. Oscar Zulu

Race 8:
2 and 18 look the natural leaders. 10 and 15 handy. MUGATOO beat TAIKOMOCHI and GIRL TUESDAY 5 weeks ago and both have run well since. MUGATOO himself has gone back and had a trial win (over FRANKELY AWESOME and Korcho) on August 12. No compelling reason he can’t string some wins together as he did at the beginning of last prep. Hyeronimus is hanging in there while he can and should rate TAIKOMOCH well out front. He is a tough galloper and won’t be easy to run down. MUSTAJEER the high rater here. Two fresh runs in Australia are a 1.8L defeat in the Caulfield Cup and a win in the Parramatta Cup this track/trip.
Selections: 3. Mugatoo (top tip), 2. Taikomochi, 1. Mustajeer, 4. Sikandarabad
