SPEED: 1 leads 5,8,9 with 10 handy? FABERGINO has this outstanding 1000m record and she held off PREZADO here last time, Prezado has 1.5kg swing this time. BONS AWAY has trouble winning but is good fresh and if the planets align he can run over them. HALVORSEN ($8.50 opening price = value) won here fresh last prep and ran very well in an Oakleigh Plate the last time we saw him. He has Gytrash form and jumped out super! PANDEMIC is a ripper, back to 1000m from inside draw perhaps a tiny query? SWORD OF MERCY is flying and running time!

FOR VALOUR (8) Having second run back from a spell. Couldn’t shake them off when 3rd last run at Canterbury and shows good early pace. Major player. NEWSREADER (16) Had a break from racing and returns to competition. Nice show placing 3rd three runs back at Randwick and dropping weight today. Will go well. ADELAIDE’S LIGHT (5) Came on strongly when 2nd two runs back at Newcastle. Each way prospects. DOCTOR JACK (7) Back after a break. Kept finding the line when 2nd last time at Doomben. Market watch advised and can run into the money.

PARADEE (3) Backs up quickly today. Good win last time at this course. Hard to hold out. FROSTY ROCKS (5) Peaked on the run when 2nd last run at this venue and expecting to settle positively. Been in the money 3 from 4 attempts this preparation. Should go close. ITZ LILY (8) Winner last start at Wyong and third up from a break. Very tidy this campaign winning 2 from as many attempts. Should be swooping on the field late. Contender. SKATE TO PARIS (2) Dashed home into 3rd last run at Eagle Farm but will have to carry extra weight today. Likely to get back in the field. Wouldn’t leave out of multiples.
Race 3:
BALLISTIC BOY (1) Brave effort to win two runs back at Doomben and shows good closing speed. Very competitive this campaign. Top prospects. BLACK ON GOLD (2) Displayed potential when winning three runs back at Hawkesbury but goes up in weight today. Right in this. PRIMITIVO (3) Went out at $9.5 and finished 2.7l behind the winner at Randwick last run on a soft surface. Should improve today but rising in weight today. Might take a while to wind up but should be hitting top gear in the straight. Strong hope. ELABORATE (5) Good run when placing 2nd three runs back at Kembla Grange. Serious player.
Race 4:
JONKER (7) Pulled away to win two runs back at Doomben and should be going forward early. Include in chances. HARD EMPIRE (2) Really dug deep when winning last start at Doomben and possesses good finishing speed. Very tidy this preparation winning 2 from 3 attempts. One of the major players. ROHERYN (3) Fought on well to win last start at Eagle Farm and expected to be flashing home. Capable of getting into the money. BELLA VELLA (4) Got the upper hand late when winning three runs back at Moonee Valley and displays good tactical speed. Use betting as best guide.
Race 5:
ATHIRI (2) Won last time at Eagle Farm. Racing consistently since returning from a break. Is in good order and can run well. SNAPDANCER (9) Displayed potential when winning last run at Randwick and third up from a spell. Flying this campaign with 2 wins from 2 starts. Could take beating. STOLEN JADE (11) Left nothing to chance when winning last time here and backing up quickly. Looks very sharp this campaign with 4 wins from 4 runs. Key hope. IRITHEA (1) Stormed home when 3rd last run at Randwick. Strong chance.
Race 6:
SWIFT WITNESS (12) On a short turnaround. Dominant winner last time around here. Suitably placed in this race. SHE’S ALL CLASS (11) Having second run back from a break. Won by a big margin last start at Wyong. Open to improvement and has a show in this field. ALPINE EDGE (1) Won narrowly last run at Eagle Farm. Flawless this campaign with 2 wins from as many starts. Could run into the money. FINANCE TYCOON (2) Second up from a break. Got the upper hand late when winning last time at this venue. Underrated.

ISOTOPE (13) Got the upper hand late when winning last time at Doomben but up against stronger competition today. Definite winning chance. AWAY GAME (3) Having second run back from a break. Scored a victory three runs back at Randwick but racing in stronger company today. Sure to be thereabouts again. FORBIDDEN LOVE (12) Chimed in with a win last start at Gosford. Likely threat. APACHE CHASE (1) Was all too good winning last time at Eagle Farm and gets a favourable gate. Not out of it.
Race 8:
YAO DASH (12) Backs up quickly today. Solid win last run here and can save some energy from the draw. Hard to hold out. ELEVEN ELEVEN (3) Brave effort to win last run at Canterbury but hoping that the added weight won’t hurt. Going well this preparation winning 2 from 3 attempts. Contender. DISCHARGED (9) Having second run back from a break. Nice effort when winning three runs back at Randwick. Should muster plenty of early speed. Knockout chance in this. SOXAGON (1) Got the cash when winning last start at Eagle Farm. Can go through the gears. In the mix.

YAMAZAKI (10) Having second run back from a spell. Ran past a few when 5th last run at Randwick and displays very good closing speed. Has the ability to figure. MACEWEN (4) Fought on well to win last run at Eagle Farm. Might take a while to wind up but should be hitting top gear in the straight. Include in chances. THE ODYSSEY (2) Tidy effort when 2nd last run at Eagle Farm but up in weight today. Should muster plenty of early toe. Each way prospects. BOOMTOWN LASS (6) Flashed home late into 2nd last start at Eagle Farm. Can surprise and by no means out of it.

Capacity maiden field makes this a tough affair. BOOM EXPRESS was beaten this track when long odds on two starts back then went to Ipswich and just missed. Going to have something each way on her. ADELAIDES LIGHT was beaten less than a length at Warwick Farm last start. Makes his own luck sitting up on the speed and takes catching from the corner. BELTARIA was making good late ground at Eagle Farm last start. Looks to be plenty of speed in this and he will be the one to watch late. DANEZEL resumes. Placed in all three starts at first prep and if he is forward enough will give this a shake.

Race 2:
PARADEE was given a Craig Williams special here last start and she sprinted quickly to win with ease. This no harder and she can win again. Like the way PROFIT has been finishing off his races off late. Did not get all that much room in traffic here last start and run was sound. This looks nice race for him and going to have something each way. SKATE TO PARIS finished the race of strongly when placed behind the in form The Harrovian last start. She looks close to finding her best form. FROSTY ROCKS makes own luck rolling forward in his races. Beat all but Paradee last start. Takes catching.

Race 3:
BALLISTIC BOY looks the one to beat. Smaller field here should ensure he does not find as much trouble as he usually does back in the field and extra distance looks the winning move. PARRY SOUND was little flat second-up but he looked bit stiff not to have won fresh and can bounce back third-up from spell while SKIDDAW may get his own way up front and may try and steal this from the corner. ELABORATE was getting to the line well enough at Eagle Farm last outing. Extra distance ideal and will keep grinding home.

Race 4:
BELLA VELLA is the big query for me resuming from spell. Won Group 2 Ian McEwen at The Valley first-up last time in work and she usually flies fresh. She is up to winning this. JONKER broke the Doomben 1200m record winning fresh before being overran last start. Surely the Gold Coast track will suit him and he takes catching. EXHILARATES was Listed winner on Derby Day at Flemington then not beaten far at Eagle Farm. Look for him to be in the finish. SANSOM is a little bulldog. Never gives up in his races and invariably puts himself in winning positions. Would not leave him out.

Race 5:
ATHIRI is racing in super form winning both runs this time in. If she can produce the acceleration she produced last 200m at Eagle Farm last start they will not beat her. Hard not to include STOLEN JADE. She made it four in a row winning here last outing and she can measure up to this whilst OUTBACK BARBIE is full of talent but she is bit hard to catch. Threatening to win a race like this and would not leave out. No luck again for NIEDORP with barrier. Drew out in the car park last start and thought her effort to finish so close was super. Needs luck again but not going to leave out.

Race 6:
SHES ALL CLASS demolished them winning the Wyong Magic Millions by a big space. Given a trial to keep her up to the mark and Chris Waller will have her primed for this. ALPINE EDGE looks the best of the locals. Unbeaten in two starts winning the G3 B.J.McLachlan with authority last start. The run of MISS HIPSTAR here last start was outstanding. Never closer than three wide throughout but still had the audacity to figure in minor spot. She can cause an upset while SWIFT WITNESS made her own luck in first couple here last start and won easily. She has fared best in barrier draw.

Race 7:
ISOTOPE got back in an awkward spot at Doomben but she was still good enough to overcome trouble and finish too well to win. Her first try around Gold Coast is a concern but she trialed well enough and she looks ready for the 1400m. Last years 2yo Classic winner AWAY GAME returns to the scene of her best win. Looked like she would benefit from first-up run when run down by Isotope and she can figure again. GOTTA KISS has been threatening with her late finishes and if leaders stop she will be there to pounce while FORBIDDEN LOVE is a Listed winning filly. Her chances are enhanced if wet.

Race 8:
Going to have something each way on DISCHARGED in this. Thought his run first-up was enormous after working overtime early and setting off at cracking pace he was only claimed late. Drawn wide again but fitter and takes catching. Stablemate YAO DASH won with something in hand here last start and he looks back to his best. He can win again. ELEVEN ELEVEN beat Discharged last outing with big late finish. If leaders stop he will be there to pounce while SOXAGON is racing in super form with two straight wins. Is getting up in the weights but must include in winning chances.

Race 9:
YAMAZAKI loves the Gold Coast and she has a devastating finish. Only getting warm when race was over first-up at Randwick and she will be much better from the outing. Have an opinion of TOKORIKI LAD but he can do a few things wrong. If he puts it all together he can finish all over the top of these. BOOMNOVA has been working through her classes with authority winning last three. This a step up but she will be competitive.
