The following is an in-depth review of the betting agency Betrally. This review covers the history, features, interface, sports & racing markets, upsides and downsides of the service.
This review is part of our comprehensive Bookmaker Reviews section. The Betting Agencies page provides information and reviews for other sports betting agencies that are suitable for Australians. The following details are updated periodically to keep them up to date.
History, Location and Licence
Betrally was launched in 2013 using the SBTech sportsbook platform, the same underlying software and risk management system used by 10Bet. The company that owns the service is ZapZap Marketing Limited, which is based in Cyprus. The holding company, which all deposits are made out to, is Comfortlink NV, which is based in Curaçao. The Betrally sportsbook is licensed in Curaçao.
The major drawcard of Betrally from an Australian perspective is its provision of live online betting. Betrally is one of the best services to offer live online betting and AUD accounts.
Services and Features
|New member offers (only available to Australian residents)||Receive a 50% first deposit bonus (bonus credit, not bonus bet) up to $150 by following these steps:
1 – Sign up to Betrally and log in with your username and password
2 – Go to Deposit and choose your deposit method
3 – Deposit at least $25 or currency equivalent
4 – Enter the code AUS150 in the bonus code box
The welcome bonus amount will be credited to your account once rollover requirements have been fulfilled. The deposit amount must be rolled over once at odds of at least 1.60. Single bets placed on any type of handicap (except 3 Way Handicap), Forecast/Tricast or Over/Under markets do not contribute to the bonus roll-over.
|Deposit turnover requirements||If you do not roll over your deposit at least 3 times prior to requesting a withdrawal, Betrally may charge an additional operational fee.|
|Bonus credit turnover requirements||For Australian residents, the deposit plus the bonus amount must be rolled over 6 times with odds of at least 1.60. Single bets placed on any type of handicap (except 3 Way Handicap), Forecast/Tricast or Over/Under markets do not contribute to the bonus roll-over. The bonus must be rolled over within 90 days or the bonus amount and any associated winnings will be cancelled. Each bet can contribute up to 50% of the rollover requirements. For example, for a $150 bonus, the maximum each bet can contribute towards the rollover requirements is $75. So a bet of $100 contributes $75. Multiple bets placed on the same event and selection might be regarded as bonus manipulation.|

Betting Interface and Website Layout
The Betrally sports betting interface uses the ubiquitous three-column layout with a sports navigation menu on the left, odds displayed in the centre and the betting slip on the right.
When you select a sport the central panel displays a list of leagues with checkboxes. This is excellent because it enables you to select and view odds for more than one sporting league at once. As you browse and select additional leagues, the odds are stacked on top of one another, which enables you to collate odds for more than one sport.
When the odds are displayed a panel is shown at the top that enables you to view up to three bet types at once (for example 1×2, Exact Score and Winning Margin for a list of football fixtures). Below this are the odds for your selected bet types, displayed in a concise manner. To the right of the odds are links to view additional markets for a particular fixture. For popular sports, such as football, a stats icon appears next to each fixture. Clicking on it provides a pop up window with head to head stats for the two teams. A [X] button is shown for the fixture which enables you to close the odds to return to the list of fixtures for the league. Likewise a [X] button is shown for the league which enables you to close the league to return to the list of leagues for the sport.
The betting slip is fully functional, with single, multi and system (Trixie, Patent, etc.) multi betting available. If you click on the ‘Max bet’ button the website will populate the stake with the maximum acceptable amount. To request a higher amount you simply input a higher number and click on “Place Bets”. A staff member will then review your request.
Overall the interface is excellent. The navigation is intuitive and easy to use, market odds are displayed in a concise manner and navigation back and forth between fixture odds is very easy. The betting slip functionality is also as good as you could possibly ask for.
With the exception of football, the odds appear to be identical to 10Bet, which had an average margin of 6.0% in our latest bookmaker margin survey. For many football fixtures Betrally offers higher head-to-head odds than 10Bet, with margins sometimes as much as 1.2% lower. From a punter’s perspective, the lower the margin, the better. Betrally is competitive for international sports, but it uses higher margins than Australian bookmakers for the popular Australian leagues. For example at the time of review the average margin on an English Premier League was 4.67%, compared to 7.94% for the A-League.
Betrally offers a broad selection of international sports including popular Australian leagues such as the AFL and NRL. The range of markets for each fixture isn’t as broad as the likes of bet365, however the selection will meet the needs of most punters and is broad enough to make Betrally suitable as a sole bookmaker membership. Betrally would work well as as a second membership for those who already bet with an Australian bookmaker.
Horse racing is not available.
Live Sports Betting
According to the Interactive Gambling Act, bookmakers aren’t supposed to offer live online betting to Australians, but international services either ignore or aren’t aware of this law, and continue to offer live betting services to Australians. Note that adherence to the Act is the responsibility of gambling operators and not individual Australians. It is not an offence for Australian residents to bet live “in-play” online.1
The live (in-play) betting service at Betrally is one of the best out of the international bookmakers that support AUD accounts. An excellent selection of live events is available and a broad range of betting markets is offered for most events. Betrally boasts that they offer 18,000+ live events per month. The interface works well and a large live score graphic is displayed for an event when selected.
- Same platform as the well established brand, 10Bet, but Betrally has more competitive football head-to-head odds
- Excellent betting interface
- Fantastic live betting service
- Strong multi betting functionality
- Harsh turnover requirements on bonus funds – so much so that you may not want to bother using the bonus code when making your first deposit
- Higher bookmaker margins on Australian sports than local bookmakers
Betrally is a new brand, but it comes with the assurance of being owned by the same holding company that operates more established sportsbooks. The best features of Betrally are its live online betting service and excellent interface. The main downside is it’s incredibly harsh turnover requirements on bonus funds – so harsh that you may not want to bother using the bonus code when making your first deposit. Because Betrally doesn’t offer horse racing the service wouldn’t work as a stand alone membership, but due to its in-play betting it would make a good complement to an Australian bookmaker membership.
