Man City vs. Leeds |
Man City in the head-to-head at 1.25 (BetEstate, MarantelliBet, next2go)
Man City -1.5 at 1.78 (BetEstate, MarantelliBet, next2go)
Man City play in midweek in the UEFA Champions League, but that game is at home and I can’t look past Leeds’ recent away struggles. City have won five in a row at home in the EPL, while Leeds have gone 1-0-5 away from home this campaign. Four of Leeds’ five away defeats were by 2+ goals. Over the last twelve months, 12 of Man City’s 14 home league wins were by 2+ goals.
Sunderland vs. Bournemouth |
Sunderland +0.5 at 1.67 (Betfair)
Sunderland have gone 3-3-0 at home this season, while Bournemouth have gone 1-2-3 away from home.
Brentford vs. Burnley |
Brentford in the head-to-head at 1.54 (Betfair)
Brentford have gone 4-1-1 at home this season, while Burnley have gone 1-0-5 away from home. All four previous Premier League fixtures between these two teams were won by the home side.
Everton vs. Newcastle |
Everton +0.5 at 1.55 (BetEstate, MarantelliBet, next2go)
Newcastle will be backing up following their away game against Marseille in the Champions League, while Everton have no midweek fixtures. Everton have gone 3-2-1 at home at their new stadium this season, while Newcastle have gone 0-3-3 away from home this Premier League campaign. The Magpies have lost three consecutive away games. Everton have gone 2-2-0 against Newcastle in the last two seasons.
Crystal Palace vs. Man Utd |
Draw at 3.50 (bet365)
Man Utd +0.5 at 1.65 (Betfair)
As I’ve written before, a lot of my betting on Crystal Palace this season is based on their schedule. They don’t have a deep squad and they’re having to burden a UEFA Conference League campaign on top of their league and cups commitments. Crystal Palace will be backing up following their away game against Strasbourg on Thursday night, while Man Utd have no midweek fixture. Man Utd boast a 6-4-1 record at Selhurst Park since the Eagles were promoted. United scored twice in each of their last three away games. Palace have a draw-heavy 2-4-0 home record this season, while Man Utd have drawn half of their six away games.
West Ham vs. Liverpool |
Over 2.5 goals at 1.53 (bet365)
West Ham’s last four games went over 2.5 goals and their last three games went over 3.5. The Hammers scored 2+ goals in each of their last three games, while five of their last six opponents scored twice. Seven of Liverpool’s last eight EPL games went over 2.5 goals and their last five games against the Hammers went over 2.5. Looking specifically at West Ham at home against Liverpool, 11 of their previous 14 meetings at Olympic Stadium went over 2.5 goals.
Aston Villa vs. Wolves |
Aston Villa in the head-to-head at 1.53 (bet365)
Aston Villa have a Europa League game on Thursday night, but I’m still going to side with the hosts. Wolves have gone 0-2-10 this season. They looked well short of Crystal Palace’s qualities in their first game under Rob Edwards last week. Wolverhampton have failed to score in their last three games and their last two away fixtures resulted in 3-0 defeats. Wolves have scored just one away goal all season. They have been outscored 11-1 on the road this campaign. Aston Villa have won four in a row at Villa Park. They have won six of their last seven in the EPL.
Nottm Forest vs. Brighton |
Nottingham Forest +0.5 at 1.58 (Betfair)
Brighton have only won one away game out of six this season. Nottingham Forest look rejuvenated under new manager Sean Dyche. Forest are unbeaten in three games and they scored 2+ goals in each of those fixtures.
