Chelsea

Chelsea vs. Bournemouth

Bournemouth

Chelsea in the head-to-head at 1.63 (Betfair)
Over 2.5 goals at 1.61 (Betfair)
SGM: Chelsea double chance and over 2.5 goals at 1.80 (bet365)
SGM: Chelsea in the head-to-head and over 2.5 goals at 2.05 (bet365)

The busy Christmas schedule suits the teams with larger squads and they don’t come much bigger than Chelsea’s. Bournemouth have gone 1-3-5 away from home this season with a -11 goal difference. The Cherries bring a nine-game winless streak into this clash. Chelsea lost in Gameweek 18, however they have gone 6-2-2 on the back of a defeat over the last twelve months. Bournemouth’s defence has been atrocious away from home this season. Their last six away games saw the Cherries concede 3, 3, 4, 3, 4 and 4 goals.

West Ham

West Ham vs. Brighton

Brighton

Brighton +0.5 at 1.41 (Betfair)
Under 2.5 goals at 2.18 (Betfair)
SGM: Brighton +0.5 & Under 2.5 goals at 2.70 (bet365)
SGM: Draw & Under 2.5 goals at 4.75 (bet365)

West Ham have lost three home games in a row. Looking back further, the Hammers have gone 2-1-10 as the home underdog over the last twelve months. Brighton are unbeaten at the Olympic Stadium (2-6-0) since promotion. The Seagulls have gone 5-1-2 as the away favourite over the last twelve months. Both teams have struggled for goals lately. West Ham have scored 0, 1, 1, 2, 0 and 0 goals in their last six games, while Brighton have scored 1, 0, 0, and 1 goals in their last four games. The last four meetings between the two at Olympic Stadium went under 2.5 goals.

Nottm Forest

Nottm Forest vs. Everton

Everton

Under 2.5 goals at 1.74 (Betfair)

The depleted Everton squad is short of attacking creativity at the moment. Their last six away games went under 2.5 goals. Looking back further, over the last twelve months 15 of the Toffees’ 19 away games went under 2.5. Nottingham Forest have scored 1 or fewer goals in five of their last six games.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace vs. Fulham

Fulham

Fulham double chance (+0.5) at 1.81 (Betfair)
Fulham draw no bet (0) at 2.61 (Betfair)
Fulham in the head-to-head at 3.50 (BetEstate, MarantelliBet, next2go)

[Note: this article has been published prior to Crystal Palace’s home game against Tottenham. Palace’s home record was 2-4-2 prior to that game.]

Fulham boast a 3-2-1 record at Selhurst Park since 2013. The Cottagers have avoided defeat (2-2-0) in their last four visits to South London. I sound like a broken record by now, but Crystal Palace have had a horrific fixture schedule which has been exacerbated by their small squad. They Eagles haven’t been helped by injuries to Richards, Kamada and Munoz, plus the AFCON involvement for Sarr. Fulham will have had one extra day of rest ahead of this fixture. The Cottagers have won three games in a row. They have also won their last three away fixtures. Palace have only won twice (2-4-2) at home this season.
