Highlanders vs. Brumbies |
Brumbies +5.5 at 1.53 (bet365)
The Highlanders have lost five in a row to the Brumbies. The Brumbies have gone 5-2, both in the head-to-head and the line, away from home over the last twelve months. The Highlanders enter this game on the back of a victory over Moana Pasifika, however they have gone 0-3 on the back of a win over the last twelve months. The Brumbies enter this game on the back of a defeat to the Waratahs, but they have gone 4-1, both in the head-to-head and the line, on the back of a loss over the last twelve months. The Brumbies haven’t won in Dunedin by 13+ since 2013, so those looking for more risk should consider the Brumbies 1-12 at 3.25 (bet365)
Fijian Drua vs. Force |
Under 62.5 at 1.52 (bet365)
The Force have covered the line in their last four away games as well as in their last five games all up, however they have never won or covered the line in Fiji before. I will instead focus on the total score. This game will be played in the hot, humid conditions of Churchill Park in Lautoka. This venue has an average total score of 52.0 and the Force’s two previous visits to this venue averaged 44.5 total points. The Drua’s three fixtures at this venue so far this season saw 46.0 total points, on average. All three of the Force’s previous games in Fiji went under the bookmaker’s total.
Hurricanes vs. Blues |
Blues +10.5 at 1.52 (bet365)
This is the best game of the round, given both sides bring four-game winning streaks into this fixture. My lean is towards the visitors in the handicap market. The Blues have won four of their last five against the Hurricanes and the Wellington side hasn’t beaten the Blues by 11+ since 2018. The Blues have covered the line in seven consecutive away games and, over the last twelve months, they have gone 5-1 at the line as the away underdog. With the data set I have at hand, the Blues have covered the line five out of their last seven away games as the underdog against the Hurricanes.
Reds vs. Crusaders |
Crusaders in the head-to-head at 1.52 (Dabble, PlayUp)
The Reds are hurting after heavy defeats to the Hurricanes and Force. The Crusaders have won five in a row in Brisbane and they covered the line in the last two of those wins. The Crusaders’ head-to-head odds are as low as 1.36 with other major bookmakers at the time of writing.
