Bookmaker Margin
The bookmaker margin (overround) is a measure of the bookmaker’s profit margin for an event and is a hidden transaction cost for punters. This profit is how bookmakers finance their services but bookmakers vary in the margins they apply. From a punter’s perspective, the lower the margin, the better. Learn more about bookmaker margins.
DashBet was not included in our most recent bookmaker margins and markets survey.
DashBet’s odds for sports are not as competitive as the leading bookmakers, however when comparing against the bookmaker that scored the best sports odds in our latest margins survey, DashBet offered the best or joint-best head-to-head odds for:
– two teams out of four AFL games
– six teams out of eight NRL games
– four teams out of sixteen NFL games
– two out of three US Open tennis matches
This makes DashBet a viable option for those who like to shop around for the best head-to-head odds.
It’s a similar story for line markets, albeit with lower frequency.
The total score markets are notably less competitive than the leading bookmakers for some sports such as the NRL & MLB (1.83 even odds), while the O/U for the NFL was better (1.88 even odds).
Note that the odds we’ve stated don’t take into account the ‘Rewards+’ feature, which gives you price boosts on certain selections of your choosing.
Sports Markets
In early September, 2025, we observed markets for Australian rules (AFL, AFL Women), baseball (2 leagues), basketball (3 leagues), boxing, cricket, golf, American Football (NFL, NCAA), motor racing (F1), rugby league (NRL, NRL Women), rugby union (international, French Top 14, NPC, Currie Cup), snooker, football (42 leagues & competitions), tennis (ATP, WTA, Challenger) and volleyball.
A broad range of markets is offered for the headline fixtures. For example, we observed 63+ markets for upcoming AFL fixtures, 38+ markets for NRL fixtures, 52+ markets for NFL fixtures, 16+ markets for EPL fixtures, 27+ markets for international football fixtures and 28+ markets for US Open tennis matches. One strong feature is the fact that the markets are made available early. It’s not uncommon for smaller bookmakers to offer just a handful of markets until the day before the event, but DashBet offers a strong range of markets well in advance of the event commencement.
Same-game multi (SGM) betting is supported for a wide range of leagues and events. This includes the AFL, EuroBasket, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, NRL, WNBA and virtually all football fixtures.
Futures markets are available for popular leagues and competitions such as the AFL (including Brownlow), MLB, NFL, NRL, golfing majors, F1 and the major European football leagues.
In-Play Betting
In-play phone betting is not available.
Betting Interface
DashBet employs the GenerationWeb V. 2025.1 Interactive Betting System. This review will focus on the three-column layout that is displayed on laptops and PCs.
The website uses the ubiquitous layout with navigation on the left, markets and odds in the centre and the betting slip on the right. When the betting slip is empty, the right column instead displays a list of events that are shortly due to commence.
A tab at the top of the navigation panel switches the navigation column between Racing and Sport.
A “Today’s Matches” button is provided. This lists sports for which events are due to commence within the next 24 hours.
The sports in the navigation column are listed in an expandable format. When a sport is selected, the navigation panel displays the leagues and futures markets for that sport.
No breadcrumbs or search feature is currently available.
When you select a sport, a list of upcoming fixtures is displayed along with the head-to-head, and where relevant, the line and total score odds.
The number of additional markets available is shown below each fixture. A SGM icon is shown above markets that can be employed within same-game multis.
Selections that are already in your betting slip are highlighted in the odds area.
When the Additional Markets for a game is clicked, all available markets for that game are displayed as a list. Clicking on each market displays the selections and their odds. You can expand to view odds for more than one market at a time. To view the odds for another fixture, rather than navigate back to the fixtures list, you must close the additional markets tab for the game you had been looking at.
The betting slip displays both multi and single bet options. When numerous selections are added to the slip, you can manually create exotic multis. For example, if there are four items in the slip, you can enter stakes for doubles (6 combinations), trebles (4 combinations) and a 4-leg multi.
If promotional boosts and offers are available, they are displayed with icons below the applicable selections in the betting slip.
Overall, the betting interface works very well. We love the fact that you can view the head-to-head, line and total score markets for all fixtures at once. A standout feature is how quickly the site loads. When viewing additional markets, the display of the new odds felt instantaneous.
Horse Racing
The DashBet racing interface feels immediately intuitive because the website uses the same layout as most other bookmakers.
A form guide is available for Australian thoroughbred races as a pop-up box. Pre-Post flucs are shown next to the fixed odds. You can build your own same-race multi (SRM) using win, top 2, top 3 and top 4 markets.
The fixed odds aren’t as competitive as the leading bookmakers, but they’re not far off. We also haven’t accounted for the “Rewards+” daily features that are available for your account. Despite the slightly higher margins, it wasn’t difficult to find specific runners at odds that were greater than the offerings of leading bookmakers. Looking at a Saturday Moonee Valley racecard as an example, DashBet offered equal or better odds than a leading performer for:
Race 1: 3 out of 6 runners
Race 2: 2 out of 11 runners
Race 3: 1 out of 8 runners
Race 4: 3 out of 14 runners
Race 5: 1 out of 7 runners
Race 6: 3 out of 8 runners
Race 7: 1 out of 11 runners
Race 8: 4 out of 11 runners
Race 9: 3 out of 14 runners
Race 10: 1 out of 9 runners
For Saturday metro racing, we observed Best Tote and SP (BT3SP) for win and middle Tote for place. At smaller Saturday venues we observed middle Tote for win and place. For weekday thoroughbred racing, plus greyhounds and harness racing, we primarily observed just fixed odds.
Generally, fixed odds are made available shortly before the commencement of the racecard. One exception is feature Saturday racecards, for which we observed fixed odds for metro thoroughbreds on Wednesday.
A strong range of racecourses are shown from around the world, however we have observed that they don’t generally offer odds until shortly before the race commences.

Bottom Line
Launched in 2025, DashBet is the latest Australian-owned bookmaker that is attempting to gain traction in a space dominated by foreign-owned operators. The highlights of the service are the fast betting interface and the early provision of markets for sporting events. The breadth of markets and sports covered make it usable as a standalone membership for casual punters, while experienced punters can add it to their portfolio of memberships for odds shopping.
