Mobile betting

The website uses a responsive design that tailors the layout to the screen size of your device.

Apple and Android Apps are available. At the time of review the Apple app has a 4.6 star user rating from 112 reviews and the Android App has a 4.5 star rating from 16 reviews.

Bookmaker Margin

The bookmaker margin (overround) is a measure of the bookmaker’s profit margin for an event and is a hidden transaction cost for punters. This profit is how bookmakers finance their services but bookmakers vary in the margins they apply. From a punter’s perspective, the lower the margin, the better. Learn more about bookmaker margins.

MarantelliBet was not included in our most recent bookmaker margins and markets survey.

Sports Margins:

Our first impression is that MarantelliBet’s odds for Australian sports are very competitive. In a benchmark test against the bookmaker with the best sports odds in our latest margins survey, MarantelliBet offered the best available head-to-head odds for:
– 6 teams out of 6 NBA Preseason games
– 11 teams out of 11 NFL games
– 11 outcomes out of 9 EPL games
– 7 outcomes out of 6 A-League games
– 8 players out of 8 WTA matches (with lower margins!)
– 2 teams out of 2 MLB Postseason games

The line and total market even odds we observed were 1.90. From the head-to-head markets we surveyed their margins were only a fraction above the best performer in our latest margins survey. In the case of a WTA event, MarantelliBet’s margins were actually lower than our best performer from the latest survey.

The competitiveness of their sports odds makes MarantelliBet not only useful for odds shopping, but it also makes the service viable for those who just want one membership.

Racing Margins:

It’s a similar story for thoroughbred racing. At the time of review, MarantelliBet offered better fixed win odds than other bookmakers that employ the BetMakers wagering platform. Using a Saturday Caulfield racecard as a test against a market-leading bookmaker, for fixed win markets MarantelliBet offered the best available odds for:
Race 1: 8 out of 12 runners
Race 2: 10 out of 13 runners
Race 3: 9 out of 11 runners
Race 4: 7 out of 12 runners
Race 5: 4 out of 9 runners
Race 6: 1 out of 4 runners
Race 7: 5 out of 10 runners
Race 8: 10 out of 14 runners
Race 9: 8 out of 10 runners
Race 10: 6 out of 10 runners

In eight of the ten races, MarantelliBet offered at least one selection at better odds than any other bookmaker we surveyed.

This makes MarantelliBet an excellent option for those who like to shop around for the best fixed win odds. It also makes them perfectly usable for those who simply want one membership.

Sports Markets

In October 2025, we observed markets for American Football (NFL, NCAA Div 1, NCAA Div 1 Mid-American Conference), AFL (Women), baseball (MLB, KBO), basketball (NBA Preseason, German league, Turkish league), boxing, cricket, football (too many leagues to count, including the top four divisions in England), golf, ice hockey (NHL), MMA (UFC), motor sport (F1), rugby league (Pacific Championships), rugby union, snooker, tennis (ATP, WTA, Challenger) and volleyball (Bundesliga Frauen, Austria League, Volleyligaen Damer).

Unless you’re looking for ITF tennis or the 9th tier of English football, you will definitely be catered for.

The breadth of markets per fixture is strong. Unfortunately, their interface makes it painfully time consuming to count the markets per fixture, but using Major League postseason baseball as an example, we observed over 100 markets per game. This included props for every player. Looking at just batting props alone, you could wager on a specific player’s number of hits, runs batted in, singles, doubles, stolen bases, total bases and home runs.

Same-game multi (SGM) betting is supported for the popular competitions. This includes the NFL, NCAAF, AFL Women, MLB, most basketball leagues, most cricket, the majority of football, NHL and some tennis.

We didn’t observe any futures markets at the time of review.

We also didn’t observe any look-ahead odds. For example, if the next round of the English Premier League is Gameweek 8, we only observed markets for that round and not Gameweek 9 as well.

In-Play Betting

In-play phone betting is not available.

Betting Interface

MarantelliBet navigation screenshot

MarantelliBet employs BetMakers’ Apollo next-generation full-stack betting platform. BetMakers is the same platform provider that supplies some of the biggest bookmakers in the Australian industry.

The website employs a responsive design that tailors the layout to suit the screen size of your device. This review will focus on the three-column layout that is displayed on laptops and PCs. Navigation is on the left, markets and odds are in the centre and the betting slip is on the right.

The interface uses black and dark grey, with silver text and red highlights, which looks modern and is easy on the eye.

The sports, racing and Account categories are listed in a vertical navigation panel in an expandable format. Featured sports are listed below the main categories. Upcoming races are displayed across the top of the page.

Breadcrumbs are provided but no search feature is available.

When you select sport, a list of leagues is displayed in the centre. When you select a league, a list of upcoming fixtures is shown along with the head-to-head odds for each game.

A SGM icon is shown for games that support same-game multis. The number of markets available per game are not shown, unfortunately. Line and total score markets aren’t displayed either. This will frustrate those who focus on those markets, because you have to visit each game one by one to view those figures.

When a game is selected, the markets are displayed in groups with tabs at the top to switch between them. By default Main Markets list is displayed. This typically features the head-to-head, line and/or total score markets.

The betting slip displays both multi and single bet options. A ‘Stake All Singles’ option is provided. This enables you to enter the same stake for every singles bet in your slip. The multi bet tab enables you to remove specific legs from your multi.

If promotional boosts and offers are available, these are displayed with icons below the applicable selections in the betting slip.

Overall, the betting interface is incredibly fast and intuitive to use. We particularly like the betting slip for its ability to single out wagers to exclude from a potential multi. Those who focus on handicap (line) and total score betting will be left frustrated, because you will have to select each game one by one to view those odds, but that’s the only real gripe we can come up with.

Horse Racing

MarantelliBet racing screenshot

The MarantelliBet racing interface easy to use and feature-packed. A button is available at the top of each race to switch between fixed, Tote and SP odds. When Tote or SP is selected, the fixed odds fluctuations are shown to provide some guidance on what dividend you’ll be getting.

A speed map and runner ratings are available, along with race tips supplied by RaceLab. Same-race multi and boxed trifecta links are available to quickly utilise RaceLab’s four selections in a wager. For thoroughbred and greyhounds, you can also build your own SRM using win, top 2, top 3 and top 4 markets.

Best Tote is commonly offered for metro win markets, while middle Tote is offered for place markets. For regional thoroughbreds we observed top fluc for win. For harness and greyhounds we observed middle Tote for win and place. SP is also available.

Generally, fixed odds are only available on the day of the race. The exceptions are Wednesday and Saturday metro racecards, where we observed fixed odds the day before.

Those who enjoy fixed odds wagering two or more days before a race might be disappointed, but everyone else is very well catered for.

Upsides

  • Australian and family owned. The Marantelli family has over half a century of bookmaking experience.
  • The Apple and Android apps have consistently good reviews
  • Highly competitive sports and fixed racing odds
  • Fast, easy on the eye betting platform
  • Strong betting slip functionality
  • Regular specials
  • Same-race multis are supported for a wide range of sports
  • Same-game multis are supported for thoroughbreds and greyhounds
  • Low minimum stake
  • Low minimum deposit
  • Flexi betting is supported
  • The service strongly encourages punters to set a deposit limit both during and after the sign up process

Downsides

  • With the exception of Saturday and Wednesday metro thoroughbreds, fixed odds for racing are generally only made available on the day of the race
  • The deposit area doesn’t make it immediately clear that debit cards are accepted. You have to click ‘Add New Payment Method’ to then deposit by debit card.
  • You can only view line and total score markets for one fixture at a time
  • We didn’t observe any futures markets or look-ahead odds
  • No in-play phone wagering
  • Dormant account fees

Bottom Line

MarantelliBet is a family-owned operation with over half a century of on-course bookmaking experience. What stood out when conducting this review is how good their user ratings are for their apps, plus how competitive the odds are. Not only did we constantly observe selections at better odds than a market-leading bookmaker, but we also observed some markets where MarantelliBet employed lower margins than that bookmaker. The website uses the highly-regarded BetMakers platform, which makes betting fast and easy. The biggest drawbacks are the lack of futures markets plus the lower availability of fixed racing odds in the days leading up to a racecard. Overall, MarantelliBet is a no-brainer for those who employ odds shopping. It would also serve well as a standalone membership, providing you’re not into futures markets.
