Bookmaker Margin
The bookmaker margin (overround) is a measure of the bookmaker’s profit margin for an event and is a hidden transaction cost for punters. This profit is how bookmakers finance their services but bookmakers vary in the margins they apply. From a punter’s perspective, the lower the margin, the better. Learn more about bookmaker margins.
NinjaBet was not included in our most recent bookmaker margins and markets survey.
NinjaBet’s odds for sports are not as competitive as the leading bookmakers. Their competitiveness varies depending on the sport, however. When comparing against the bookmaker that scored the best sports odds in our latest margins survey, NinjaBet offered the best or joint-best head-to-head odds for:
– 3 players out of 8 ATP Challenger matches
– 1 player out of 12 ATP matches
– 6 players out of 12 WTA matches
– 1 team out of 9 EPL games
– 1 team out of 15 NFL games
– 0 teams out of 4 MLB games
– 2 teams out of 4 United Rugby Championship games
We recommend you browse the odds for your favourite sports to see whether those particular leagues are a strength of NinjaBet.
For sports like the NFL, NinjaBet’s chosen lines are often 0.5 units off other bookmakers (e.g. +4.0 instead of +3.5). This makes NinjaBet useful when you’re looking to add half a point to a selection you had in mind with another bookmaker.
The total score markets we observed were notably less competitive than the leading bookmakers. We observed 1.83 even over/under odds for the NRL, NFL, NBL, Rugby Championship & MLB, and 1.85 even over/under odds for the NBA.
Note that the odds we’ve stated don’t take into account the ‘Rewards+’ feature, which gives you price boosts on certain selections of your choosing.
Sports Markets
In October 2025 we observed markets for Australian rules (AFL Women), baseball (MLB), basketball (24 leagues), boxing, cricket, darts, golf, American Football (CFL, NFL, NCAA), ice hockey (NHL), motor racing (F1), MMA (UFC), rugby league (NRL, NRL Women, Super League), rugby union (international, French Top 14, NPC, Gallagher Premiership, United Rugby Championship), football (too many leagues to count), tennis (ATP, WTA, Challenger) and volleyball.
A broad range of markets is offered for the headline fixtures. For upcoming games, we observed 43 markets for the MLB, 27 for the NBA pre-season, 57 for the NFL, 41 for the NRL, 32 for the EPL and 13 for the Rugby Championship.
One strong feature of NinjaBet is the early provision of markets. We observed English Premier League markets for both the current and following round, despite the fact that the following round wouldn’t take place until after an international break. For the current round there were up to 36 markets per game and for the upcoming round, in two weeks time, we observed a respectable 17 markets per game. Using the NFL as another example, we observed up to 61 markets per game for the current week’s fixtures, and 3 markets per game for the following week’s fixtures.
Same-game multi (SGM) betting is supported for a wide range of leagues and events. This includes AFL Women, MLB, all basketball leagues, all gridiron, all rugby league and every football league that we sampled.
Futures markets are available for popular leagues and competitions such as the AFL, MLB, NFL, NRL, golfing majors, Formula 1, tennis grand slams and the major European football leagues.
In-Play Betting
In-play phone betting is not available.
Betting Interface
NinjaBet employs the GenerationWeb V. 2025.1 Interactive Betting System. This review will focus on the layout that is displayed on laptops and PCs.
The website uses the ubiquitous three-column layout. Navigation is on the left, markets and odds are in the centre and the betting slip is on the right. When the betting slip is empty, the right column instead displays a list of events that are shortly due to start.
A tab at the top of the navigation panel switches the navigation column between Racing and Sport.
A “Today’s Matches” button is provided near the top of the navigation column. This lists the sports for which events are due to commence within the next 24 hours.
The sports in the navigation column are listed in an expandable format. When a sport is selected, the navigation panel displays the leagues and futures markets (where available) for that sport.
Unfortunately, no breadcrumbs are provided and there isn’t a search feature for upcoming events. With that being said, the website’s navigation is intuitive and beginner-friendly.
When you select a sport, a list of upcoming fixtures is displayed along with the head-to-head, and where relevant, the line and over/under odds.
The number of additional markets available is shown below each fixture. SGM icons are shown above markets that can be employed within same-game multis.
Selections that are already in your betting slip are highlighted in the odds area.
When the Additional Markets button for a game is clicked, all available markets for that fixture are displayed as a list. Clicking on each market displays the selections and their respective odds. You can expand to view odds for more than one market at a time. To view the odds for another fixture in that league, rather than navigate back to the fixtures list, you instead close the Additional Markets tab for the game you had been looking at.
The betting slip displays both multi and single bet options. When numerous selections are added to the slip, you can manually create exotic multis. As an example, if there are four items in your slip, you can enter stakes for doubles (6 combinations), trebles (4 combinations) and a 4-leg multi.
If promotional features are available, they are displayed with icons below the applicable selections in the betting slip.
Overall, the betting interface is fast and easy to use. We like the fact that you can view the head-to-head, line and total score markets for all fixtures at once. A standout feature is how quickly the website loads. When viewing additional markets, the display of the new odds feels instantaneous.
Horse Racing
The NinjaBet racing interface is easy to use because the website employs the same layout as most other bookmakers.
A form guide is available for Australian thoroughbred races as a pop-up box. Pre-Post flucs are shown next to the fixed odds. You can build your own same-race multi (SRM) using win, top 2, top 3 and top 4 markets. We observed SRMs for thoroughbreds and greyhounds, but not harness racing.
The fixed odds aren’t as competitive as the leading bookmakers, but they’re not far off. We also haven’t accounted for the “Rewards+” daily features that are available for your account. Despite the slightly higher margins, it wasn’t difficult to find specific runners at odds that were greater than the offerings of leading bookmakers. For ten surveyed races across five Saturday metro racecards as an example, NinjaBet offered equal or better odds than a market-leading performer for:
Race 1: 1 out of 8 runners
Race 2: 2 out of 9 runners
Race 3: 2 out of 9 runners
Race 4: 5 out of 13 runners
Race 5: 3 out of 13 runners
Race 6: 3 out of 15 runners
Race 7: 5 out of 11 runners
Race 8: 9 out of 18 runners
Race 9: 3 out of 15 runners
Race 10: 5 out of 12 runners
For seven races at a Saturday night greyhounds racecard, NinjaBet offered equal or better odds than a market-leading performer for:
Race 1: 3 out of 8 runners
Race 2: 3 out of 8 runners
Race 3: 5 out of 8 runners
Race 4: 2 out of 5 runners
Race 5: 4 out of 7 runners
Race 6: 3 out of 5 runners
Race 7: 6 out of 8 runners
For two races at the end of a Saturday night harness racecard, NinjaBet offered equal or better odds than a market-leading performer for:
Race 1: 2 out of 8 runners
Race 2: 3 out of 6 runners
One strange feature is we only observed fixed odds when we were logged in. When viewing the website whilst logged out we did see Tote offerings. For weekend metro racing, we observed Best Tote and SP (BT3SP) for win and middle Tote for place. At smaller weekend venues we observed middle Tote for win and place.
Generally, the fixed odds are made available either the day before or shortly before the commencement of the racecard. One exception is feature Saturday racecards, for which we observed fixed odds for metro thoroughbreds on Wednesday.
A strong range of racecourses are shown from around the world, however we have observed that NinjaBet doesn’t generally offer odds for international races until shortly before each race commences.
