Football Betting Warning – Postponements Galore in the UK

If you intend to place bets on UK football matches this weekend, just be aware that many fixtures have been postponed due to frozen pitches and poor travel conditions. This means you may be placing a bet on a fixture that won’t actually take place until March 2011 or later. Not only will you have funds frozen in pending bets until then, but the forms of the competing teams may have changed by the time the fixture actually takes place. One of the most dangerous markets in this instance is player goals. Between now and when the fixture actually takes place, the player you had backed could be out of the squad for injury or form reasons. Also a player who’s in a rich vein of form now may be in a slump by the time the fixture is actually played.

Below is a list of some confirmed postponements to date. There could be more postponements prior to kickoff.
