NRL Round 11 Preview and Tips – Canberra Raiders vs. Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

THE LONG HARD LOOK WITH MIKE WILSON

FRIDAY

Canberra Raiders v Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs
Canberra Stadium, 7:45pm

It’s difficult to believe that we would be talking about a team that, after 10 rounds brought up only their second win of the season against the Melbourne Storm in Melbourne. But that’s exactly the feat the Raiders gallantly pulled off last week and this time around they take on the Bulldogs in Canberra. Nathan Massey comes back into the side for his second NRL game following the surprise selection of Josh Dugan in the NSW State of Origin team. Sam Williams retains his spot at halfback due to Matt Orford’s alleged groin injury keeping him out for an indefinite amount of time. The Bulldogs have logged solid results in 2011 but their attack has been fairly lacklustre, so we could be in for a dour attacking affair which would go hand in hand with the chilly Canberra weather.

As impressive as Canberra were last week, it will be a tough gig for them to back it up against a fresh Canterbury line-up, so I’m going with the Bulldogs in this one.
