NRL Round 12 Preview and Tips – Manly Warringah Sea Eagles v Brisbane Broncos

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles v Brisbane Broncos
Suncorp Stadium, 7:00pm.

It’s a double header at Suncorp Stadium to kick off the Round 12 action and the first leg sees Manly taking their home game up north into enemy territory. It’s hard to say what kind of Broncos team will take to the field but it’s no secret that most of their origin representatives will likely be sitting out. It was only a few weeks ago that the Broncos took on the Storm minus their test representatives and they put up a great fight. Peter Wallace seems to be very underrated at the moment and I think the Broncos are still in good hands with Wallace at halfback. Manly only had one player in Jason King playing State of Origin but at this point in time coach Des Hasler is claiming that King will take his spot in the run on side. Brett Stewart has been named at fullback but as we have learnt so far this year, we will have to wait and see as to whether he actually plays or sits out with a nagging hamstring injury. These two sides have met three times at Suncorp in the last four years and Manly have won all three.

Manly should be too good for the Broncos, but I’m certainly not writing off a young Broncos side full of enthusiasm in front of their home crowd.

Mike’s Best Bet: None
