NRL Round 15 Preview and Tips – Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles v Parramatta Eels

THE LONG HARD LOOK WITH MIKE WILSON

Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles v Parramatta Eels
7.00pm at Brookvale Oval

Sea Eagles: $1.36, Eels $3.15

Sea Eagles: Brett Stewart, David Williams, Jamie Lyon (c), Steve Matai, N/A, Kieran Foran, Daly Cherry-Evans, Jason King (c), Matt Ballin, George Rose, Anthony Watmough, Joe Galuvao, Glenn Stewart. Interchange (from): Vic Mauro, Jamie Buhrer, Tim Robinson, Tony Williams, Daniel Harrison.

Eels: Jarryd Hayne, Luke Burt, Ryan Morgan, Jacob Loko, Jordan Atkins, Casey McGuire, Jeff Robson, Tim Mannah, Matt Keating, Fuifui Moimoi, Nathan Hindmarsh (c), Taniela Lasalo, Ben Smith. Interchange: Shane Shackleton, Mitchell Allgood, Carl Webb, Justin Horo.

Brett Stewart vs. Jarryd Hayne. My mouth is watering! I can’t wait for this contest and hopefully it turns into a try scoring extravaganza! Despite only playing 7 games this year, Stewart has racked up 5 tries.

There’s now a bit extra on the line for the Sea Eagles following the Dragons’ loss to Brisbane on Friday night. If the boys from Brookvale win by 13 or more they move to the top of the ladder on for and against. They look the goods too having won their last 5 games and only conceding 30 points in the process. In 2010 Manly were a better side than the Eels but nevertheless they lost to the Eels both times the two sides met.

When it comes to most metres gained and most tackles made on average per game, it’s two Eels players that hold the number one positions. Jarryd Hayne averages the most metres at 157 per game and Nathan Hindmarsh averages the most tackles at 47 per game.

Mike’s Best Bet: None
