Welcome to Perth! Thumbs up to South Sydney who are promoting the game of Rugby League out west by taking one of their home games to Perth each year for the next 3 years.

Following last week’s anticipated matchup between Brett Stewart and Jarryd Hayne that didn’t disappoint, this week I can’t sit still waiting to see Justin Hodges return to take on Greg Inglis. The two are odds on to be centres partners in State of Origin game 3 but for the time being they will be putting friendships aside in a bid to halt each other’s progress.

Look for big Dave Taylor to spearhead the Rabbitohs attack which is more than capable of upsetting the 5th placed Broncos. But an upset can’t happen if the Rabbitohs don’t play for the full 80 minutes and they at least want to make sure they are still in the contest after 60 so they can attempt to come home strong. Expect a close game.

Mike’s Best Bet: None
