NRL Round 2 Preview and Tips – Monday Fixture

THE LONG HARD LOOK WITH MIKE WILSON

Parramatta Eels v Warriors

Parramatta Stadium, 7:00pm local time.

EELS: Luke Burt, Ken Sio, Esi Tonga, Ryan Morgan, Cheyse Blair, Ben Roberts, Chris Sandow, Tim Mannah, Matt Keating, Mitchell Allgood, Nathan Hindmarsh, Taniela Lasalo, Reni Maitua. Interchange: (from) Casey McGuire, Fuifui Moimoi, Justin Poore, Justin Horo, Pat O’Hanlon, Joseph Paulo

WARRIORS: Kevin Locke, Bill Tupou, Konrad Hurrell, Krisnan Inu, Manu Vatuvei, James Maloney, Shaun Johnson, Sione Lousi, Nathan Friend, Ben Matulino, Feleti Mateo, Simon Mannering (c), Elijah Taylor. Interchange: (from) Russell Packer, Ukuma Ta’Ai, Ben Henry, Lewis Brown, Glen Fisiiahi, Alehana Mara, Sebastine Ikahihifo

Following a woeful performance in Round 1 the Eels will be looking to restore pride to the Parramatta name in Monday night football. The Eels all round game last week was lacking in all areas, particularly attack with Chris Sandow seemingly left to try and conjure up something all on his own.

The Warriors however were rather impressive despite going down to Manly in a top rate contest. If the Warriors can produce a similar performance this week, minus a few handling errors, they should have no problems dispensing with the Eels.

Chance of winning: Eels 35%, Warriors 64%, Draw 1%

Mike’s Tip: Warriors

Mike’s Best Bet: None

Starting Bank: $2000, Current Bank $2078.44
