$50,000 Last Man Standing AFL Competition

With the 2013 AFL season approaching, Sportingbet have again launched their AFL Last Man Standing Competition. Make one correct selection each weekend out of the 9 AFL games and you are through to the following week – get it wrong and you’re eliminated. The Last Man Standing wins $50,000 cash.

To participate you must have a Sportingbet account, however no deposit is required. The latest you can register is 7 PM AEDT on March 22, 2013. Click here to sign up.

To ensure that there only will be one last man standing, from week 13 of the AFL onwards, all remaining participants must make one selection each week at the game line. For example, instead of picking St Kilda to win, you must now pick, say, St Kilda -10.5.

To assist you in your endeavours, Andy Marshall will again be providing weekly AFL tips this year.

Prizes

The Last Man Standing gets $50,000 in cash. From our experience once you’re eliminated you receive an email offer where you can deposit $50 into your Sportingbet account and get a $50 bonus bet.

Terms

Sportingbet’s AFL Last Man Standing Competition (“the Competition”) is open to all Australian residents over the age of 18. The Competition will commence on March 22, 2013 and will conclude on September 28, 2013.

The object of the Competition is for the Entrants to make correct predictions on AFL matches run throughout the 2013 AFL season. The predictions will be based on Head to Head markets (where Entrants will be required to pick one (1) winner from any of the games running from Round 1 up to and including Round 12 of the 2013 AFL Season) and later based on Line markets (where Entrants will be required to pick one (1) winner from any of the games running from Round 13 up to and including the Grand Final of the 2013 AFL Season after taking into account the points handicap as determined by the Promoter).

The Competition is a knock out competition with successful Entrants going through to the next Round until they make an incorrect selection or until the Grand Final (whichever is first to occur).

The Competition is split into two separate stages:
i. Part 1: Head to Head selections up to and including Round 12 of the 2013 AFL Season.
ii. Part 2: Line Selections from Round 13 up to and including the Grand Final for the 2013 AFL Season.

Competition will conclude and a winner or winners declared as follows:
(i) If there is only one (1) remaining Entrant who has made a correct selection in a Round or the, Qualifying Final, Semi Final, Preliminary Final or Grand Final (as relevant) and there are no other correct selections made by any other Entrant/s in that Round, Qualifying Final, Semi Final, Preliminary Final or the Grand Final (as relevant) the remaining Entrant will win $50,000; or
(ii) After the conclusion of the AFL Grand Final on September 28, 2013, if there is more than one (1) Entrant that has made a correct selection up until (and including) the Grand Final, the tied Entrants will share equally in the $50,000; or
(iii) If, in any Round or Final, all remaining Entrants fail to make a correct selection, all remaining Entrants will proceed to the following Round or Final (as the case may be) and will be able to make another selection in that following Round or Final; or
(iv) In the case that no single Entrant has made a correct selection for the Grand Final and, therefore, there is no clear winner, all the tied Entrants will share equally in the $50,000.
