Race 6:
Set weights and penalties has the top two thrown in at the weights. FRENCH EMOTION has some Group One mares form and she wasn’t given much chance last week. If she can be a bit closer from the good gate she’s the one to beat. WHISTLE BABY is racing in peak form. She too gets a perfect run so looks the obvious danger. DEJA BLUE needs some luck from the gate but is good enough to run well. AVENUE WHISPER next best but there’s not much between the rest.
Race 7:
FAATINAH will love getting back onto a firm Caulfield track. If he finds his Oakleigh Plate run he’ll be right on pace and tough to get past. KAEPERNICK comes off two good runs. If he can stay in touch from the good gate he’s a big closer late. CRYSTAL DREAMER is good enough at the weights if he has any luck from the gate. There’s a stack more chances including ROCKET TOMMY and PETITS FILOUS.
Race 8:
TYCOON TARA is the key to the race. She did disappoint a touch first-up but it was in a strong race. She’ll race much closer from the good gate and she’s thrown in at the weights. She’ll bounce back hard. MISS PROMISCUITY gets a perfect run. If she finds the Oakleigh Plate run she’s an each-way hope. THERMAL CURRENT keeps on running big races. He’s well in at the weights. FUHRYK, RICH CHARM and LUCKY LIBERTY all have claims in a good race.
Race 9:
SWORD OF LIGHT is going to need a touch of luck rolling forward from the bad gate. If she can get in she’ll be hard to get past. GREVISTE has charged home in both wins suggesting the longer trip is ideal. If he can be closer he’s a big danger. KAZIO charged home in a strong race last start. Still on the rise he can win. THINK BABE and BUTCH KISSIDY are good enough with any luck from bad gates.

Race 7:
NIETA promising mare resuming on the back of successive trial placings at Randwick and Rosehill. Unbeaten first-up and looks ready to go fresh here. SUPER MAXI chasing back to back wins after a Warwick Farm victory last start. Has a 40 per cent winning strike rate and right in the mix again launching from the inside gate. HIGHLY GEARED won the Camarena Quality at Canberra resuming. Kept fresh for this but races well that way. Has the early speed to overcome the gate and shouldn’t be under-estimated. SIR BACCHUS resumes and has trialled twice. Rosehill winner resuming last preparation and goes in everything fresh here.
Race 8:
POLARISATION won the “no race” and very strong at the end. If he backs up is clearly the one to beat but that’s the question here. CHANCE TO DANCE one of six horses to complete the no race finishing “second”. Just a case of whether he can back up. PENGLAI PAVILION finished “third” in the no race. That was first run for 167-days so reasonable to assume there might be some improvement. If that’s the case is right in the mix. LASQUETI SPIRIT tough in the Oaks finishing third. Adds a new element to this with her front running style and no surprise to see a bold showing.
Race 9:
MOSS ‘N’ DALE close up at Mornington resuming. Unbeaten in two second-up runs and looks right up to a race like this. DREAMFORCE should have won at Newcastle resuming after only getting clear late. Unbeaten in two runs last preparation including a Warwick Farm win this trip and gets the chance to go one better here. ROARING TO WIN charged late to just miss this trip at Rosehill last start. The 6kg weight rise a query but still one of the main chances. LAZYAXL placed at Warwick Farm last start. Has won over the journey and should be close to his peak at third run back from a long spell.
Race 10:
SIREN’S FURY has won two from four this preparation and a close third in the South Pacific this track and distance last start. Just needs even luck from the gate to be right in the finish again. COTTAGE 45-days since being in the market but well beaten at Warwick Farm resuming. Has won a trial in the interim and unbeaten in the distance range. Set to improve sharply. HEAVENLY ANNA well beaten in the Provincial Championship Final last start but runner-up finish at Rosehill resuming two runs back rates well for this. Can bounce back. VIA NAPOLI wasn’t far from the winner at Warwick Farm resuming last preparation and goes in everything fresh here.
