Ladbrokes Race Comments:

Race 7:
BADAJOZ Won two on the trot at Rosehill and Caulfield. Likely to race on the speed. Has won at this track previously. Should be right in the finish.CRYSTAL DREAMER Faded to finish four lengths off the winner last start at Morphettville but had excuses finishing the race lame. Has multiple wins at Caulfield. Should race on the speed. One of the main hopes. PROPERTY Resumes after a 29 week spell and the winner of a Casterton trial. Has been in strong winning form winning three from five. Goes in everything fresh. FAATINAH Finished two lengths off the winner last start at Moonee Valley when first up and didn?t get much room late. Generally strong second-up and drawn the rails. Should race on the speed. Should go well.

Race 8:
JOHANNES VERMEER Won a Group III at The Curragh three back and is a Group 1 winner. Charged home late when a close second in the Caulfield Stakes at first Australian start. Beaten favourite only 2400m when second in the Ballyroan (G3) in Ireland. Running out a strong 2400m a nagging query. HUMIDOR Impressive winner of the Makybe Diva two runs back before working home well in the Turnbull behind Winx. Runner-up in the BMW this trip in the Autumn and rates as one of the key chances here.BONNEVAL Won six in a row including the Underwoood two runs back before blotting her copybook when a beaten favourite in the Caulfield Stakes. Found to be lame post-race. Unbeaten both runs this trip winning the Australian and NZ Oaks. Set to bounce back. AMELIE’S STAR Established herself as a main player with a strong win in the Bart Cummings last start. Has a sense of timing about her and a 5kg weight drop. Right in the mix.

Race 9:
GLOBAL GLAMOUR First-up after 28 week break but has trialled nicely on two occasions. Has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier. Major contender. FOXPLAY Winner or placed in four of past six and came on to finish fourth last start at Randwick in the Epsom. Should race off the speed in a race with plenty of tempo. Serious player.PETITION Finished strongly to end up on the placegetters heels last start at Flemington. Should race off the speed in a race with plenty of tempo. Won or placed in six of last seven. Well placed.COOL PASSION On a seven day back-up after winning the Northwood Plume here last week. Among the main chances again.

Race 10:
FUHRYK Less than three lengths from the winner last start at Caulfield. Should race off the speed in a race with plenty of tempo. Won two of four as a favourite. Hard to beat. LYUBA Ran eighth last start at Caulfield. Should race on the speed but the trip looks a genuine query. NIETA Winner or placed in five of past seven but faded to finish four lengths off the winner last start at Randwick. Among the chances but any rain about would help. CRYSTAL FOUNTAIN Returns from 10 week let-up. Last start winner at Geelong when resuming and unbeaten in four runs to date. Placed at trial since last race. Expect to be right up there.

Sportsbet – Race Comments:

Race 7:
Speed looks hot! 9, 8 can fly. 1, 3 take trail. 4, 5, 10 off those? FAATINAH ran very well fresh in G1/WFA Moir and ran good second in this race last year. He may just get the gun run here. SUPER TOO broke Randwick 1000m track record before proving too slick around MV last time. SNITTY KITTY has great speed herself though and she too can run fast overall time. 3YO PROPERTY creates plenty of interest. We saw a 3YO win that Moir and his form around Catchy is top-end 2YO form. OCEAN EMBERS will be suited by all this speed. Aany rain helps. Not sure MISSROCK at 1000m? SWEET SHERRY has a case!
Selections: 1, 9, 10, 8

Race 8:
SPEED: 13, 4 may lead with 2, 8, 10, 5 handy. 3, 7, 12 up there too? JOHANNES VERMEER flew at the line against the race pattern at wfa last week (third-fastest last 400/200m of the day). Has backed up in seven days once, and won a Group 1. BONNEVAL had excuses behind him. That was her first career defeat 2000m+. AMELIE’S STAR is an endurance star! She remains unbeaten at staying trips (aggregate margin 14.9L) and had HARLEM’s measure. VENTURA STORM beat home HUMIDOR in Turnbull. His record at 2200m+ reads 4: 3-1-0 and the defeat was G1 second to Harbour Law, who then placed in Ascot Gold Cup.
Selections: 3, 11, 16, 7

Race 9:
SPEED: 2, 3, 6 from 7 with 9 handy. 8, 11, 13, 14 up there too? The class is at the top. FOXPLAY ran home very well in a fast Epsom. She is back to her own sex but does come back 200m. GLOBAL GLAMOUR has had some great battles with Foxplay. She is fresh here at 1400m and trialled well. SILENT SEDITION did enough fresh. Second-up form is excellent and she loves it here at 1400m. NOW OR LATER won the Blazer when only second up. She ran the quickest last 400/200m split of day. RAVI ran by her in the How Now and has run well at 1400m. SHILLELAGH my best roughie. She has beaten Silent Sedition.
Selections: 13, 1, 8, 3

Race 10:
SPEED: 2, 5 but 6 can go quick on her day. 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 can all be handy, so ?? NIETA wasn’t far off a few that ran well in The Everest last start and I doubt she is a strong 1200m mare in any case. The run at 1100m prior she was 1.5 lengths off Everest winner Redzel and they ran sizzling time. She is very well weighted this scale! FUHRYK has had excuses both runs back and expecting better from her. CRYSTAL FOUNTAIN is unbeaten and did a great job beating a handy male fresh in August with 59kg. CONCEALER and MODERN WONDER are chances. LYUBA if right can run well.
