BetEasy – Race Synopsis:

Race 7:
The exciting ZOUSTYLE (4) makes his return. Has led throughout to win all five of his starts, the latest his first stakes success in the Gold Edition back in December. Likely to have developed with more maturity on his side. Can maintain the unbeaten record. BOOMSARA (1) resumes off a terrific summer campaign that saw him win the Magic Millions Guineas after bolting in with the Vo Rogue Plate. May want a touch further and was beaten by Zoustyle in their two clashes but has won three from four here and can race well fresh. ZOUSAIN (2) has been freshened since pulling up lame in the Newmarket. Prepared for this with two trial wins. If at his best he could blow them away. CHARGE (6) returns off a trial win and usually races well fresh. EF TROOP (3) is another trial winner resuming. If he finds his best he is a chance.

Race 8:
KENEDNA (9) charged home to win the G1 Queen Of The Turf in Sydney last start. Is right back to her best and her closing sectionals last start suggest she will relish the extra 200m having won her only previous attempt. Hard to hold out. SHILLELAGH (8) has taken on the best in the Queen Elizabeth and Doncaster at her past two starts. Gets Bowman aboard and if she runs up to her nose second in the Australian Cup she will take beating. YOUNGSTAR (10) found the All Aged far too short first up. This suits better and will be fitter. Has the class. MISTER SEA WOLF (1) did a good job to win a G3 first up. Has trialled since so should only be improved. PLEIN CIEL (17) was back to his best winning the Easter Cup last start. Could go on with it.

Unibet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 3:
ACCESSION (1) Won by a big margin three runs back at Rosehill and very competitive this preparation. Rates a winning chance. DUBIOUS (2) Came in 3rd two runs back at Randwick and goes down in class. Jockey Clayton Douglas riding for trainer Ciaron Maher And David Eustace are a proven combination. Hard to overlook. EPAUMADA (10) Having second run back from a spell. Displayed potential when winning two runs back at Eagle Farm and shows good early pace. Don’t leave out of trifectas. STRONGER (3) Won narrowly three runs back at Kensington. Has been a model of consistency since coming back from a break. Can surprise and by no means out of it.
Selections: 1 Accession, 2 Dubious, 10 Epaumada, 3 Stronger

Race 7:
ZOUSTYLE (4) Handy enough when winning last run at Doomben and Brad Stewart rates highly aboard. Shows good early pace. Has an engine that others will struggle to keep up with. BOOMSARA (1) Got the upper hand late when winning last time at this course and has plenty of early speed. Tim Clark is in form for this stable. Include in chances.
Selections: 4 Zoustyle, 1 Boomsara

Race 8:
KENEDNA (9) Fought on well to win last run at Randwick. Clayton Douglas and Ciaron Maher And David Eustace are a formidable team. Winning hope. SHILLELAGH (8) Crept into 5th last start at Randwick and looks well graded here. Should be swooping on the field late. Should be right in the finish. PLEIN CIEL (17) Won last time at Caulfield but rising in weight today. One for the each way players. YOUNGSTAR (10) Will be motoring home late. Below par when 12th last time at Randwick but second up from a break. Can make a claim in this race and there is a strong place chance.
Selections: 9 Kenedna, 8 Shillelagh, 17 Plein Ciel, 10 Youngstar

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 3:
Pace in this from the local Epaumada who should just about find the front with likely Let’s Cheer Again the main speed rival having come up with the inside gate. I’m leaning to DUBIOUS here who should be able to slot over ok from the outset & has shown the ability to finish his races off well, he’d done nothing wrong winning 2 of his 4 starts before struggling on the Heavy track in the Golden Slipper. Certainly giving EPAUMADA a chance, one run back was a fighting second only outbobbed on the line after being given little peace. Throw nos.1, 6, 7 & 14 into your exotics, all with a chance.
Selections: 2. Dubious, 10. Epaumada, 14. Written With Ease, 1. Accession

Race 7:
Not a big field in the Guineas however it’s a cracking line up. The unbeaten & very speedy ZOUSTYLE comes up with the outside gate, can see nos.1, 3, 5 & 6 as the ones he’ll need to clear early to find the fence. I’m sticking with him, he’s a future star, has that quality of speed & stamina & has jumped out well. Had the pace been a little more hectic I would have favoured ZOUSAIN as he would have likely had the last shot, his form is certainly good enough to win this though & he’s won both lead up trials in good fashion. BOOMSARA in the mix also.
Selections: 4. Zoustyle, 1. Boomsara, 9. Hold The Line

Race 8:
Capacity line up to go around in this years Hollindale which is the main lead up to the Doomben Cup in a fortnight’s time. Mask Of Time & Hallelujah Boy (1st emerg) the two leaders, nos.14, 17(e) & 18(e) can park handily. Interestingly only 5 mares have won this race in it’s 30 year history however 4 of those wins have come in the past 7 runnings & I’m tipping them to go 1-2-3 here. KENEDNA on top, she comes through the right race, will lap up 1800m & is on an upward curve. SHILLELAGH prefers a firm surface whilst YOUNGSTAR might just need this one to top her off but she won’t be far away.
Selections: 9. Kenedna, 8. Shillelagh, 10. Youngstar, 18. Fierce Impact

ZOUSAIN (2) Third up from a spell. Snuck in a place when 2nd two runs back at Caulfield and going down in grade. Can have an impact. BOOMSARA (1) Got the upper hand late when winning last time at this course and has plenty of early speed. Tim Clark is in form for this stable. Include in chances. CHARGE (6) Had a break from racing and returns to competition here. Really dug deep when winning three runs back at Moonee Valley and back in an easier grade. Each way prospects.

Race 8:
KENEDNA (9) Fought on well to win last run at Randwick. Clayton Douglas and Ciaron Maher And David Eustace are a formidable team. Winning hope. BetEasy – Race Synopsis:

Race 3:
A final lead up to the Goodwood is the DC McKay Stakes. HAUNTED (2) looked good when winning an Open handicap at Caulfield. He sat midfield and wound over the top. Probably sits behind them here and gets out late. DESPATCH (4) keeps improving. He battled hard to take the Oakbank Stakes. This does seem to be his best journey. AMBERDI (5) is doing very little wrong. Comes back to the sprint trip but can be strong late. HARD EMPIRE (1) ran his best race in the Irwin. He goes best early in preps. PETRELLE (7) has only had one bad result. She is a wildcard here.

Race 5:
Plenty of hopes in the Queen Of The South Stakes. SPANISH REEF (1) has been racing the very good mares around. She wasn’t far away in the Queen Of The Turf but this is a different weight scale. Clearly her best goes close. TEMPLE OF BEL (7) might just have found the right form again. She rounded them up last week. Her mile form is her best. PRETTY GLASS (6) keeps racing consistently. She loves this track and doesn’t give up. MUSIC BAY (15) has been well fancied every time this campaign. Looks ready now. JUNGLE FISH (10) may not have liked the wet track in Sydney. Prior form was great.

Race 6:
The G1 Australasian Oaks sees a very even group of fillies line up. PRINCESS JENNI (3) has put two excellent wins back to back. She is bred to love every bit of this and more. Gets a charmed run so only has to get out to be in the finish. AMANGIRI (7) was desperately unlucky against the boys in the Packer Plate. She was favourite there but might go leading again. SURE KNEE (8) is a value chance given how she has been finishing her races off. Her form ties in well if getting the luck in running. ARISTIA (1) was hard in the market in the Australian Oaks but faded late. This is a drop in grade. HOUSE OF CARTIER (5) also ran well in Sydney. She seems a stayer of note.

Race 7:
The other G1 for the girls is the Sangster Stakes over the 1200m. PRINCESS OF QUEENS (3) resumes straight into a major race. Her form earlier in the year was excellent. She did win the Christmas Handicap here too. Jockey is in form from a lovely draw. SPRIGHT (1) totally deserves a win in a G1. She has been around the mark all the time in them but had no luck. Maybe swooping home goes best here. JAMAICAN RAIN (6) is ready to bounce back from being lame in the Coolmore Classic. She was well backed there. Would start fav if it was wet. ELLICAZOOM (4) got run off her feet at Randwick. Her William Reid effort was very good. COOL PASSION (2) drops back from an open G1. Loves this trip.

Race 8:
This Euclase Stakes could be a cracker. TERBIUM (2) kept graduating to bigger and better things earlier in the year. He was so good in the Zeditave Stakes. This would have been targeted. VALOUR ROAD (1) is very interesting coming from Perth. He has G1 formlines and a first up win too. GYTRASH (3) runs off the back up after what was a soft win last week. He just has to take the next step. BEHEMOTH (5) is a quick improver. He missed by a nose in the Redelva Stakes. TOFANE (15) was favourite in Melbourne and will be better at 1200m.

Unibet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 3:
HAUNTED (2) Bold effort to win last time at Caulfield and second up. Will be pushing for a forward position early. Will take some beating today. DESPATCH (4) Got the upper hand late when winning last run at Oakbank and third up from a break. Strong form this campaign winning 2 from as many attempts. Go close. HARD EMPIRE (1) Solid win last run at the track and likely to be well placed early. Expect to go close. PETRELLE (7) Second up from a break. Really dug deep when winning last start at Geelong and hard to fault at this trip. Solid each way claims.
Selections: 2 Haunted, 4 Despatch, 1 Hard Empire, 7 Petrelle

Race 5:
SPANISH REEF (1) Game effort to win three runs back at Flemington and ideal distance as proven previously. Will take some beating today. MUSIC BAY (15) Won by a big margin two runs back at Sandown but up against stronger competition here. Been in the money 3 from 4 attempts this preparation. Right in this. TEMPLE OF BEL (7) Landed the spoils when winning last time at Flemington and ideal distance as proven previously. Should take beating. TAHITIAN DANCER (16) On a short back up. Was fighting out the finish when winning three runs back at Mornington but facing a stronger class. Looks to have a good chance of placing.
Selections: 1 Spanish Reef, 15 Music Bay, 7 Temple of Bel, 16 Tahitian Dancer

Race 6:
PRINCESS JENNI (3) Was fighting out the finish when winning last start at Caulfield and expected to be flashing home. Very competitive this campaign. Appears well in this. AMANGIRI (7) Was very impressive when winning three runs back at Hawkesbury and going well this preparation. Has early speed and positions nicely. Will give a big sight. ARISTIA (1) Rocketed home into 3rd two runs back at Rosehill. Has run into the money 3 from 4 attempts this preparation. Will be competitive. ZALATTE (9) Will be trying to topple them late. Finished 9th last run at Flemington and up against stronger competition here. Looks to have a good chance of placing.
Selections: 3 Princess Jenni, 7 Amangiri, 1 Aristia, 9 Zalatte

Race 7:
SPRIGHT (1) Ran on strongly when 2nd two runs back at Moonee Valley. Finishes off strongly. Will be competitive. COOL PASSION (2) Peaked on the run when 2nd three runs back at Warwick Farm and should be going forward early. Could take beating. JAMAICAN RAIN (6) Finished on top two runs back at Caulfield and having third run back from a break. Racing consistently this preparation. Could sneak a place. THRILLSTER (14) Second up. Caught the eye when 2nd last time at Caulfield but facing a stronger class today. Each way appeal.
Selections: 1 Spright, 2 Cool Passion, 6 Jamaican Rain, 14 Thrillster

Race 8:
TERBIUM (2) Solid win last run at Caulfield but resuming after a break. Can dominate here and win. BEHEMOTH (5) Having second run back from a break. Bolted in when winning two runs back at Moonee Valley but up against stronger competition here. Winning hope. VALOUR ROAD (1) Nice effort when winning last run at Ascot and shows good early pace. Could go well. TOFANE (15) Had a comfortable win two runs back at Ballarat but facing a stronger class. Will go well here.
Selections: 2 Terbium, 5 Behemoth, 1 Valour Road, 15 Tofane

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 3:
A small but strong lineup with five last start winners. HAUNTED looked to have a bit in hand when he won at Caulfield a fortnight ago. He has drawn to get a good run from the inside gate and has won when 2nd up. HARD EMPIRE took out the RN Irwin Stakes at his first run back from a spell. DESPATCH made it two from two this time in work when he defeated Zalmona at Oakbank. With the right run, he’ll be thereabouts in the finish. PETRELLE returned from a break with a narrow win at Geelong. She drops 4.5kg in weight and can only be further improved.
Selections: 2. Haunted, 1. Hard Empire, 4. Despatch, 7. Petrelle

Race 5:
SPANISH REEF is down in grade following a terrific run in the Queen Of The Turf at Randwick three weeks ago. She’s clearly the one to beat here. TAHITIAN DANCER was seen doing her best work late in the Nitschke last week. She looks ready to tackle 1600m. CLEARLY didn’t have a lot of luck at Caulfield when having her first run in Australia. Her only win came over this trip. Not much went the way of FLOP at Flemington on Anzac Day. Look for her to be running on strongly late. MUSIC BAY, PRETTY GLASS and TEMPLE OF BEL are others with claims for multiples.
Selections: 1. Spanish Reef, 16. Tahitian Dancer, 4. Clearly, 9. Flop

Race 6:
AMANGIRL hasn’t had much go her way in two runs since winning easily at Hawkesbury in March. She handles all conditions and has drawn favourably in barrier 2. ARISTIA had no favours in the ATC Oaks last time. Forgive that run and go on her placing in the Vinery the start prior. PRINCESS JENNI ran home strongly from the tail of the field to win at Caulfield last time. She drops 4kg in weight and is bred to appreciate the extra distance. MIRETTE overcame trouble to take out the Auraria here three weeks ago. The step up in trip looks ideal.
Selections: 7. Amangiri, 1. Aristia, 3. Princess Jenni, 4. Mirette

Race 7:
COOL PASSION sat wide and was strong in the finish when she won a Gawler trial last Friday. She’ll take up a handy position here from barrier 4. SPRIGHT was runner-up to Sunlight in the William Reid Stakes two starts ago. She got too far out of her ground at Randwick last time yet wasn’t beaten far. THRILLSTER charged home from back in the field to just miss out at Caulfield when resuming. The extra 100m is a plus for her. Perth trained filly LADY COSMOLOGY will be fitter for two runs back from a spell. She’s yet to run a bad race in 10 starts.
Selections: 2. Cool Passion, 1. Spright, 14. Thrillster, 15. Lady Cosmology

Race 8:
Note that numbers 2, 4 & 10 are also acceptors at today’s Flemington meeting. TERBIUM was given a letup after taking out the Zeditave Stakes at Caulfield in February. He has trialled well leading into this. VALOUR ROAD returned from a spell with a strong win at Ascot. He was competitive in some good races last campaign, don’t overlook him. CAUSEWAY GIRL lines up against her own age group after finishing fifth in the Arrowfield last month. Lightly raced filly TOFANE had no luck at Caulfield a fortnight ago. Two runs prior to that were very good.
Selections: 2. Terbium, 1. Valour Road, 8. Causeway Girl, 15. Tofane

Ladbrokes – Race Comments:

Race 3:
DESPATCH Has won five from nine and is chasing the hat trick after wins at Morphettville and Oakbank in his two runs this time in. There is nothing to suggest he cannot make it three on the trot. HAUNTED Has built up an impressive record for Godolphin with six wins and five placings from his 12 starts including a win at Caulfield resuming last start. Is unbeaten in two runs at the trip and is right in the mix. AMBERDI Is in winning form with two wins from last three starts and is chasing back to back wins after a Morphettville Parks win last start. Six weeks between runs looks the only concern. PETRELLE Has made an impressive start to her career with three wins from five starts including a narrow benchmark 70 win at Geelong last start. Steps up in grade but it is hard to knock the winning form.

Race 5:
TEMPLE OF BEL Hit the line strongly to win over the mile at Flemington last start. She’s as good a chance as any in an open race with the Tony McEvoy polish. PRETTY GLASS Has an impressive record with six wins and three seconds from her 11 starts to date and is chasing back to back wins after an Oakbank victory last start. Steps up to a Group II but looks up to the task. SPANISH REEF Won the Matron Stakes at Flemington three back before a close second in the Sunline Stakes at Moonee Valley. Endured a chequered path in the straight when just over a length from the winner in the Coolmore Legacy at Randwick last start. Only needs even luck in running to be right in the finish. BLUE MORPHO Won well at Morphettville Parks three back and hasn’t been far from the winner in two subsequent runs. She is worth including in the wider exotics.

Race 6:
MIRETTE Has hit her straps in recent starts winning three of last four including the Schweppervescence Stakes at Morphettville last start and she didn’t have much luck in the other run in the sequence. This is her toughest test but it’s hard to knock the winning form.
QAFILA Hasn’t handled the heavy tracks last two starts in the Vinery and Phar Lap Stakes at Rosehill after winning the Angus Armanasco at Caulfield resuming three back. Finished second in the Wakeful and fifth in the Oaks in the Spring. Just needs a dry track to be right in the mix.
AMANGIRI Won successive races at Kensington and Hawkesbury before a tough second in the Adrian Knox two runs back and was the unlucky runner in the Frank Packer Plate at Randwick last start. Only needs even luck in running to make amends.
ARISTIA Won the VRC Oaks in the Spring. Disappointed in the Australian Oaks at Randwick after finishing in the placings in her first three runs this time in. Has to be given another chance.

Race 7:
ANJANA Has won five from 11 including successive wins at Flemington and Moonee Valley before a close third in the Redelva last start. She’s a winning chance in an open race. SPRIGHT Her racing style means she needs luck in her races and it hasn’t come in recent starts including the Group I William Reid at Moonee Valley two back. Just needs even luck in running to be right in the finish. LADY COSMOLOGY Has been placed last four in Western Australia and I wouldn’t be leaving her out of the wider exotics. JAMAICAN RAIN Struggled on the heavy track in the Coolmore Classic last start. Stays under notice on her win in the Mannerism at Caulfield two back.

Race 8:
VALOUR ROAD Made it three wins seven starts with an Ascot win resuming last start. Was less than three-lengths from the winner in the Group I Winterbottom Stakes at Ascot last December. That looks a solid form reference for this. GYTRASH Hasn’t missed a place in nine starts and has returned to the winner’s stall on four occasions including the last two at Morphettville and The Parks circuit. It’s hard to find a reason to suggest he won’t be in the finish again. HUMMA HUMMA Made it two wins from last four starts winning the Redelva at Morphettville last time out. Running out a strong 1200m is the only query. BEHEMOTH Hit the line strongly when a close second in the Redelva Stakes at Morphettville resuming last start. Gets the chance to go one better with the run under his belt.
