Race 8: Jungle Edge

BetEasy – Race Synopsis:

Race 8:
JUNGLE EDGE (1) ran well up in Sydney as he typically does. Found a hot race there behind a star winner and stood up well. Winner under Poy in Melbourne prior and reunited with the winning hoop here he looks sure to take catching. SOOTHING (13) should run well fresh. Her best ratings are terrific for this and she is drawn to stalk and pounce for Meech. HEART CONQUERED (9) is also drawn to get a soft sit on the back of the speed and should be in the thick of the finish. Racing well without winning in Sydney. BANDIPUR (3) and MALIBU STYLE (2) are both coming off good wins. Consistent performers this off season and well worth their place here.

BetEasy – The King’s Tips:

Race 8:
1. Jungle Edge (3 stars)
2. Malibu Style (3 stars)
9. Heart Conquered (3 stars)
3. Bandipur (3 stars)

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 8:
SPEED: 1 can lead with any of 2,3,5,9,11 handy. 6,14 can be up there also. Good race. JUNGLE EDGE is suited WFA and beat MALIBU STYLE last time, who of course, then won. Back to 1100m no negative for ”Malibu”. BANDIPUR also beat Malibu Style last start, he is very genuine. KEN’S DREAM can win if ready. Have to say OAK DOOR jumped out better than him though. SOOTHING flies fresh, her last 1st-up run she blew her rivals away running amazing time/ sectionals. CRACK THE CODE can also win fresh, that Embrace Me form turned out G2 form.
Selections: 13. Soothing, 3. Bandipur, 14. Crack The Code, 2. Malibu Style

Betfair – Race Selections:

Race 8:
1. Jungle Edge (5 stars)
2. Soothing (4 stars)
3. Heart Conquered (4 stars)

Ladbrokes – Race Comments:

Race 8:
SOOTHING (13) Flashed home late into 3rd two runs back at the track and strong performer at the distance. Likely to be first past the post. BANDIPUR (3) Really dug deep when winning last time at the track and proven runner at this distance. Very competitive this campaign. Appears well in this. HEART CONQUERED (9) Almost got a win when 3rd last time at Rosehill but racing in stronger company today. Should go well. JUNGLE EDGE (1) Fought on gamely when winning two runs back at Sandown and expecting to settle positively. Place chance

Rosehill

bet365 – Suggested Play:

Race 7: Gaulois – each-way

BetEasy – Race Synopsis:

Race 7:
Open race with it a case of being each way the field. Hard to go against GAULOIS (5) after his strong win in the Civic Stakes against a number of the same horses he again faces here. Produced the win off a prolonged stint racing in Queensland for solid results. Should be at his peak fourth up, doesn’t run a bad race at Rosehill and relishes the sting out of the ground. FIRSTHAND (4) had Blinkers applied for the first time at Rosehill last start when second to Gaulois in the Civic Stakes. Another who performs well at this course and on rain affected ground. Just needs luck from the wide draw. ECKSTEIN (2) commenced her time with the Chris Waller stable in encouraging fashion, charging home for a sixth in the Tatt’s Tiara behind her new stablemate Invincibella. Early signs are encouraging. Liked how SEAWAY (7) resumed in the Civic Stakes. Has an excellent second up record and appeals down in the weights.

BetEasy – The King’s Tips:

Race 7:
5. Gaulois (3 stars)
14. Nicci’s Gold (3 stars)
7. Seaway (3 stars)

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 7:
STAMPEDE is a fascinating runner. Trials sound, Bowman booked, proven on Heavy. Just 1 run in 17 months but it was pretty darn good wasn’t it. Weighted as clearly the best performed horse in the field. Market sure to tell us more but I’m happy to buy in with a classy galloper who could potentially control the race. NICCI’S GOLD will be pozzie much further back but I am convinced she is superior on these conditions and could wind up strongly pending a fair tempo. The Godolphin pair – ORGANZA and GAULOIS – rated next best.
Selections: 1. Stampede, 14. Nicci’s Gold, 5. Gaulois

Betfair – Race Selections:

Race 7:
1. Gaulois (5 stars)
2. Firsthand (4 stars)
3. Eckstein (4 stars)

Ladbrokes – Race Comments:

Race 7:
ECKSTEIN (2) Kept finding the line when 3rd two runs back at Eagle Farm and dropping in class. Will be motoring home late. Must respect. FIRSTHAND (4) Finished 2nd last time around here. Will be in the finish. ORGANZA (13) Put in a competitive run when placing 2nd last time at Ipswich and ideal distance as proven previously. Can measure up to this company. GAULOIS (5) Won narrowly last start here and has drawn the rails. Should get going late. Exotics hope in this event
