Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 5:
HYDRO STAR (6) Nice effort when winning last run at Sandown and fitter for debut run. Likely to race off the speed. Top chance. RULERSHIP (3) Resuming after spell. Looked good when 2nd three runs back at this track. Has the ability to take this out. RANTING (5) Resumes after a spell. Couldn’t maintain the momentum going throughout when 3rd last start at Morphettville but rising in grade. Likely threat. LARIMER STREET (2) Fresh from a spell. Left nothing to chance when winning two runs back at Moonee Valley and dropping in grade. Maybe for the trifectas and a marginal hope.

Race 6:
PARLOPHONE (3) Won by a big margin last time at Morphettville and third up from a break. Has not missed this preparation with 2 wins from 2 starts. Sure to be competitive and must include. FRESH (7) Had a comfortable win three runs back at Geelong and should be going forward early. Open to improvement and has a show in this field. BELLA NIPOTINA (5) First up today. Edged past a few into 4th last time at Morphettville but facing a stronger grade today. Each way appeal. AGREEABLE (12) Had a break from racing and returns to competition. Scored a victory last time at Geelong and was on debut last time. Genuine threat.

Race 7:
VIRIDINE (2) Got the cash when winning last run at this course but rises in weight. Must be considered. AGE OF CHIVALRY (6) Good result placing 3rd last run at Flemington and displays good tactical speed. Good chance and wouldn’t be surprised to see it pick up a win. BUMPER BLAST (8) Having second run back from a break. Finished on top last run at Flemington but up in grade. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Should take beating. BEGOOD TOYA MOTHER (3) Proven record when resuming with 2 wins from 4 attempts. Fell back to finish 7th last time at Randwick but should jump out and bowl along. Among better hopes.

Race 8:
MYSTIC JOURNEY (8) First up specialist. Hit the line well when 5th last start at Moonee Valley and drops back to a suitable grade. Rates well in this race. SAVATIANO (10) Has a good record first up with 4 wins from 7 starts. Started $7.5 and came in 6th last start at Morphettville. Looks nicely placed today. Should muster plenty of early speed. No shock to see a win. REGAL POWER (1) Resumes from a spell. Displayed potential when winning last run at the track and goes down in grade. Respect against this field. ARCADIA QUEEN (9) Bold effort to win three runs back at Rosehill but resuming from a spell. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Deserves consideration.

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 5:
3, 5 look the most likely leaders from 2, 8? HYDRO STAR created a big impression wining on debut after missing the start. Love the way he joined in/won despite looking raw. RULERSHIP has trialled very well for his return. He won in good time on debut then gave a nice kick here before being run down by the smart Hanseatic. RANTING chased an unbeaten one on debut then was no match late at 1200m in the Breeders Stakes but that was a good run-ons’ track. He looked sharp beating older horses in a jumpout. There wasn’t much between LUNAR FOX and LARIMER STREET last prep.
Selections: 3. Rulership (top tip), 6. Hydro Star, 5. Ranting, 2. Larimer Street

Race 6:
PARLOPHONE was a brilliant winner in Adelaide running slick time/sectionals. FRESH was on the heels of RIVER NIGHT in a recent jumpout and they both went well, Fresh beat Personal on debut and that is the filly that beat Parlophone in January. No vision of the ARYAAF jumpout but she beat all-bar Mildred fresh last prep and that horse then placed in the Reisling Stakes in Sydney beating SUPREME IDEA. BELLA NIPOTINA was a jumpout star and was less than 2L off Fresh in a Diamond lead-up in January.
Selections: 3. Parlophone (best of the day), 7. Fresh, 1. Aryaaf, 5. Bella Nipotina

Race 7:
1 leads 3, 6 here? JUNGLE EDGE gets back on to (likely) wet ground. We know this is the key to him. He and VIRIDINE both come up to 62kg today which gives SHE SHAO FLY a nice weight advantage and she did hit the line nicely behind them in the Bletchingly Stakes. AGE OF CHIVALRY was not far away in a fast Rubiton Stakes fresh in February. He should have won first up prior at 1200m around MV. BEGOOD TOYA MOTHER had excuses in the Australia Stakes fresh last prep. He won this race fresh prior (last year) on a soft 5.
Selections: 6. Age Of Chivalry (value bet), 2. Viridine, 1. Jungle Edge, 3. Begood Toya Mother

Race 8:
SPEED: 3, 6, 7 from 10. MYSTIC JOURNEY won this race fresh last year in strong style. The race is deeper this year though. ARCADIA QUEEN is a star and unbeaten fresh but she has never seen soft ground, plus, she is unlikely to be fully wound up here if on a Cox Plate path. REGAL POWER was behind KINGS WILL DREAM fresh last prep at 1800m but his was the better run (in my humble) coming from way back Vs nasty bias and slow tempo. Kings Will Dream trialled well and his fresh form is very good. CASCADIAN ($14) my best blowout. SAVATIANO flew fresh last prep!
Selections: 9. Arcadia Queen (top tip), 8. Mystic Journey, 1. Regal Power, 2. Kings Will Dream

Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 7:
BEHEMOTH (2) Back from a break. Flew home into 2nd two runs back at this track but up in weight today. Making headway every start and rates strongly. DALASAN (1) Should be ready to fire fresh. Won two runs back at this course but going up in weight. Capable of taking this out. KEMALPASA (3) Had a break from racing and returns to competition. Chimed in with a win three runs back at Flemington and hard to fault at the distance. Keep in mind. EXTRA TIME (12) Racing fresh after a break. Had a comfortable win last start around here and gets some weight relief. Use betting as best guide.

bet365 – Suggested Play:

Race 7: Behemoth

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 7:
MORE THAN EXCEED has a great record on the track and has race fitness over the vast majority of these. He led all the way to win the Mildura Cup last time and has drawn favourably in barrier 1. DALASAN was sent for a spell after running second to Russian Camelot in the Derby. Expect to see him hitting the line strongly. BEHEMOTH chased home Jungle Edge in the McKay when first up in May. He has trialled well leading into this. RAINMOTH was runner-up to Octane when resuming over 1100m. 3yo gelding EXTRA TIME will carry just 51.5kg, look for any positive market moves for him.
Selections: 4. More Than Exceed (value bet), 1. Dalasan, 2. Behemoth, 11. Rainmoth

Unibet – The Professor:

Race 3: Varda
Race 7: North Pacific
Race 8: Man of Peace

Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 7:
NORTH PACIFIC (2) Having second run back from a spell. Scored a victory last time at Rosehill and can save some energy from the alley. Has to be strongly considered. SMART IMAGE (3) Really dug deep when winning last run at Rosehill and gets some weight relief. Flawless this preparation with 2 wins from as many runs. Appears well in this. YARDSTICK (6) Solid effort when winning last start at Canterbury and dropping weight today. Ticks plenty of boxes and looks like value. HOLYFIELD (1) Had a break from racing and returns to competition. Was first to greet the judge when winning two runs back at Rosehill but rises in weight today. Very strong each way claims.

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 7:
The Waterhouse/Bott pair lead the way in this, the feature race of the afternoon. Perhaps 5 and 1 can set up handy. Pattern could be telling too, as some of the more promising horses here are likely to be settled back in the second half of the field. NORTH PACIFIC has the rails draw to work from and at some stage will need to break through into the clear, but I am convinced he is a colt of great promise. 5 weeks between runs now but won a trial last week very nicely. BRAVADO kept finding the line pleasingly in the controversial race taken out by SMART IMAGE. Looks well and truly on the rise but may need luck from his low draw as well.
Selections: 2. North Pacific (top tip), 8. Bravado, 3. Smart Image, 6. Yardstick
