Unibet – Race Comments:

Sure to be competitive and must include. YOSEMITE (3) Got the upper hand late when winning three runs back at Bendigo and dropping in class. Will be looking to sit just behind the leaders. No surprise to see a forward showing and one of the main hopes in this race. SCREAM DREAM (8) Did a good job when winning two runs back at Kyneton but rising in class. Don’t overlook.

Race 3:
OSAMU (2) Ran well when 2nd three runs back at Warwick Farm and shows good early pace. Can go on with it. ENDANGER (6) Having second run back from a break. MIRAITOWA (9) Did enough to win last run at Ballarat and fitter for debut run. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Should be around the mark. SALTPETER (1) Having third run back from a spell. Fought on well to win three runs back around here but up in grade. Can’t be left out of trifectas.

Race 4:
LET’S KARAKA DEEL (10) Solid win two runs back at Swan Hill but racing in stronger company today. Contender. CETSHWAYO (5) Really dug deep when winning last time at Flemington but facing a stronger grade today. Can figure. HIT THE SHOT (9) Was fighting out the finish when winning three runs back at Ballarat but rising in grade. Possesses good finishing speed. Each way prospects.

Race 5:
STARELLE (3) Good run when finishing 2nd last start at Flemington and looks well graded. Can go through the gears. Winning claims. CHICA FUERTE (2) Fought on well to win three runs back at Pakenham and dropping in grade. Can give this a shake. SUCCEED INDEED (4) Solid win two runs back at Sandown and drops back to a suitable grade. Displays very good finishing speed. Keep in mind. PENSATO (6) Showed promise when winning last time at Flemington and will appreciate a good alley. Key hope.

Race 6:
FITUESE (3) Fought on well to win last run at Rosehill and second up. Will be looking to sit just behind the pace. Looks well placed. CALIFORNIA ZIMBOL (2) Won narrowly three runs back at Rosehill and likely to race off the speed. Serious player. HUMMA HUMMA (1) Solid win three runs back at Morphettville and finishes off strongly. Won’t be far away and represents an each way player. FROM WITHIN (4) Having second run back from a break. Was first to greet the judge when winning last start at this venue and expecting to settle positively. Capable of forward showing and can be competitive.

Race 7:
ALFA ORO (6) Having second run back from a break. Was first to greet the judge when winning last time at Moonee Valley and expecting to settle positively. Clear favourite with an abundance of ability against these. FABERGINO (2) Proven record when second up with 2 wins from 3 attempts. Finished on top two runs back at Ascot and likely to race off the speed. Should be very competitive and is a genuine threat. GARNER (7) Ran on strongly when 2nd three runs back at Morphettville and third up. Should get a lovely cart into it from just behind the leaders. Respect against this field. SHAMINO (8) Second up from a spell. Really dug deep when winning three runs back at Morphettville and strong performer at this trip in the past. Could sneak a place.

Race 8:
WINDSTORM (9) Was first to greet the judge when winning last time at this track and going well this preparation. Worth an investment. WILD PLANET (4) Got the upper hand late when winning two runs back at Rosehill but rising in weight. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Good chance and wouldn’t be surprised to see it pick up a win. BEST OF DAYS (10) Second up. Flashed home late into 3rd last run at Flemington and goes down in weight. Don’t dismiss. THE INEVITABLE (7) Proven record third up with 2 wins from 3 runs. Fell back to finish 7th last start at Flemington but likely to race off the speed. Has some strong credentials in this race.

Race 9:
VERRY ELLEEGANT (7) Really dug deep when winning last time at Flemington and racing consistently this campaign. Should be swooping on the field late. Should go well. ANTHONY VAN DYCK (1) Generally strong second up with 2 wins from 3 starts. Game effort to win last time at Longchamp. This field suits. MASTER OF WINE (11) Came on strongly when 5th last run at Flemington and suited by the weight drop. Might take a while to wind up but should be hitting top gear in the straight. Can’t be left out of trifectas. FINCHE (9) Third up from a spell. Came on strongly to finish 3rd last time at Flemington. Betting is the best guide and has each way claims.

Race 10:
PERFECT JEWEL (3) Displayed good finishing speed when 2nd two runs back at Moonee Valley. Has very good finishing speed. Can have an impact. FELICIA (4) Winner two runs back around here and will be positive in the run early. Very hard to beat. PRETTY BRAZEN (1) Fought on well to win three runs back at Flemington. Possesses very good finishing speed. Could prove to be very difficult to beat. MADAM ROUGE (2) Started $3.8 and was 2.15l behind the winner at Flemington last run on a good surface. Shows very good closing speed. Strong claims

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 1:
NOTE: Rail back true. They raced here Wednesday but at time of writing no races had been run. SPEED: 11, 7 maybe from 13 with 1, 2, 6, 8. POWER SCHEME was good fresh and a touch unlucky. He was beaten a lip by the handy Chuck A Luck second up last prep. SUKOOT gave his all in a strong race at Flemington. He is just so genuine! JENKINS and SEBERATE are dangers. The veteran LORD DURANTE is not out of this at odds. SKIDDAW and JUST LIKE MUM next.
Selections: 3. Power Scheme (top tip), 4. Sukoot, 1. Seberate, 10. Jenkins

Race 2:
SPEED: 1 looks the leader. 2, 4, 5, 6 can be handy. YES BABY YES didn’t run a strong 1600m out last time. She led prior and held on well behind subsequent Thousand Guineas winner Odeum. RAINBIEL looked good beating SCREAM DREAM at Kyneton and the third horse there had beaten Chica Fuerte (who ran third in the Manifold and beat Yes Baby Yes home). INCREDULOUS DREAM was back/wide at MV yet not far off Odeum. Six weeks off? Was hoping MISS CONDUCT would win better at Sale. ANITRA the other key hope.
Selections: 2. Rainbiel (top tip), 1. Yes Baby Yes, 7. Incredulous Dream, 8. Scream Dream

Race 3:
OSAMU comes down from Sydney and wasn’t far off Doubtland last start. That horse came to Melbourne and won the Group 2 Danehill Stakes. Osamu is unproven on soft ground. JUST A TRIBUTE really found the line to 1400m last start running 33.88 for the last 600m (+7L versus average) and runner-up Grandslam just placed in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas. ENDANGER didn’t quicken and I doubt loved the tight MV track fresh. Yes 1400m! MIRAITOWA looked good winning on debut. He didn’t smash the clock, but has upside.
Selections: 2. Osamu (top tip), 6. Endanger, 4. Just A Tribute, 9. Miraitowa

Race 4:
SPEED: 12 led last time, 13 was on-speed two back. 6, 10 handy? 1, 5 next? Key lead-up races were both Flem/1800m events: Super Impose, in which ALBARADO and JOHNNY GET ANGRY ran home strongly. Johnny was 0.24 faster home and may well be fitter. THE PRES was shuffled out of the race then badly held up again 200m out. He was $151 but ran very well. CELESTIAL SOL was forgivable. The other key race was the Derby Trial won by CETSHWAYO, who was having start two and jumping to 1800m. He beat TOUR OF DUTY (solid) and HIT THE SHOT (little luck). Frankie Two Angels was sound there then beaten 10L in Super Impose so…
Selections: 3. The Pres (value bet), 4. Johnny Get Angry, 2. Albarado, 5. Cetshwayo

Race 5:
SPEED: 6, 13 may lead. 1, 2, 10, 12 can be handy with 5, 16 next? STARELLE was first home from these fillies in Edward Manifold and she was strong to the line with blinkers added. SUCCEED INDEED was unsuited from gate 1 and raced tight. She beat Starelle prior (without her blinkers). CHICA FUERTE was game on speed there. SILHOUETTE had excuses. PENSATO controlled her race latest but won OK and beat SALTO ANGEL and STAR OF EDEN with YATTON, SWINDON LASS closing late against a slow speed. Pensato was beaten narrowly by Miss Guggenheim prior. She ran well in that Manifold Stakes.
Selections: 3. Starelle (top tip), 4. Succeed Indeed, 14. Yatton, 6. Pensato

Race 6:
SPEED: 4, 5 can lead 2. CALIFORNIA ZIMBOL split two smart ones in fast time fresh. She easily beat Loving Gaby her one run here. FITUESE carried 58kg against some handy males fresh and beat them. She won well second up last prep. HUMMA HUMMA was a forgive run last time but she doesn’t want the rain. FROM WITHIN led/won beating males here fresh. DES MOINES has beaten PINYIN (her only win) and that ties in others through How Womantic. SCORE is one of those and she is proven fresh, and a bit underrated.
Selections: 2. California Zimbol (top tip), 3. Fituese, 8. Score, 4. From Within

Race 7:
SPEED: 1, 2, 6 from 4? We know the JUNGLE EDGE story, wetter the better! FABERGINO was a total forgive run in the Group 1 Moir but is a mare with 58kg versus boys. GRAFF has matched motors with Pierata, Classique Legend but has not won for a long time. He is jumping out well. ALFA ORO dodged the weight-for-age Group 2 last week. He is much better suited at the weights here. GARNER was good fresh then had excuses last time. He has dropped to 1000m and won in the past. SHAMINO beat him in April.
Selections: 7. Garner (top tip), 6. Alfa Oro, 3. Graff, 2. Fabergino

Race 8:
SPEED: 3, 8, 2 with 11 next. 4, 5, 12 can be up there too. FIFTY STARS was run off his legs fresh at 1200m. He won very well second up last prep and likes wet. He is best suited by the set-weights-and-penalties scale here. WILD PLANET’s Epsom run was very good. Back and wide in a race dominated up front, he still hit the line nicely. WINDSTORM is off back-to-back wins, one off a slow speed, one off a fast speed. He stays at 1400m here. THE INEVITABLE is unbeaten at 1400m. Can make case for most here though …
Selections: 4. Wild Planet (top tip), 9. Windstorm, 1. Fifty Stars, 7. The Inevitable

Race 9:
SPEED: 1 & 4 may lead 9 with 11,14,17. MASTER OF WINE kept closing in G1 Turnbull. He’s been at 2400m once, for very good win over Maurus, who then chased TRUE SELF at Flemington. True Self has had excuses of late: overs? VERRY ELLEEGANT won that Turnbull and had a harder run than most. She’s unbeaten at 2400m herself and thrashed a few of these at WFA at 2400m last prep. She loves wet ground. FINCHE was wide/good in this last year and covered ground in that Turnbull. WARNING and DALASAN bring Russian Camelot form. ANTHONY VAN DYCK has beaten Stradivarius, twice! Wet? BUCKHURST goes in.
Selections: 11. Master Of Wine (top tip), 7. Verry Elleegant, 9. Finche, 1. Anthony Van Dyck

Race 10:
SPEED: 4 leads 8 with 6, 2 taking trails? PRETTY BRAZEN looked to be travelling well Flemington last time but had nowhere to go! PERFECT JEWEL beat her home and was good late dropping back from 1600m into that race. SHE SHAO FLY beat them both. She has become super genuine. MADAM ROUGE had her chance. She did race keen early ridden closer so maybe a colder ride helps? FELICIA is having her first go at 1400m. THE CLOSER isn’t hopeless at odds.
Selections: 1. Pretty Brazen (Best of the Day), 3. Perfect Jewel, 2. Madam Rouge, 6. She Shao Fly

Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 4:
FORBIDDEN LOVE (1) Got the cash when winning three runs back at Canterbury but rises in weight today. Will be pushing for a forward position early. Hard to overlook. JOVIALITY (2) Finished on top two runs back at Warwick Farm and dropping in grade. Very competitive this campaign. Among better hopes. ONLY MINE (9) Bolted in when winning last start at Warwick Farm but racing in stronger company. Expecting to settle positively. Respect. ELIZABEEL (4) Showed promise when winning last time at Hawkesbury and goes down in weight. Has good tactical speed and will be nicely positioned. Will be in the finish.

Race 6:
DEPRIVE (1) Having second run back from a spell. Produced an eye catching run when 3rd last time at this course and strong performer at the trip. Possesses very good finishing speed. Worth an investment. STANDOUT (4) Only whacked away when 5th last start at the track. Does look suited and third up today. Will be looking to sit just behind the leaders. Ready to win. TRUMBULL (8) Scored a victory two runs back at Rosehill and goes well when fresh. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Deserves consideration. SPECIAL REWARD (2) Finished 5.05l behind the winner at Newcastle last run on a soft surface. Looking for an improved run and solid performer at this distance in the past. Should muster plenty of early toe. Honest enough to be an each way player.

Race 7:
NATURE STRIP (1) Handy enough when winning three runs back at the track and won’t be far away during the run. Well suited and should prove hard to beat. CLASSIQUE LEGEND (3) Scored a victory two runs back at this course and having third run back from a break. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Well suited and should prove hard to beat. GYTRASH (7) Got the cash when winning last run at this venue and displays good tactical speed. Respect against this field. LIBERTINI (11) Goes well second up with 2 wins from 3 starts. Did enough to win last time around here and proven performer at this distance. Meeting a good field and you can take on trust

Race 8:
AVILIUS (1) Showed a good turn of foot when 2nd last run at this track. Finishes off strongly. Racing in good fashion and a definite winning chance in what appears a suitable race. STAR OF THE SEAS (2) Rattled home nicely into 2nd two runs back at this track but rises in weight. Should be swooping on the field late. Racing consistently this preparation. Inclined to respect any betting moves and presents good prospects. VANNA GIRL (11) Bold effort to win three runs back at Eagle Farm and shows good closing speed. Good prospect for the exotics at least. RONDINELLA (9) Forgive the run when 10th around here and going up in weight. Prefers to settle towards the rear. Won’t be far away.

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 4:
Pace from 4, 9 then 1 and 8. FORBIDDEN LOVE has been adept at 1200m now finds herself going from 1100-1400m. Comes through the best races for something like this and has earned 59 against many fillies that have been competing at lower levels. JOVIALITY was thrown into a deep pool in the G1 Flight and now reverts in trip. Certainly her work prior can have her featuring here. Many of the others can claim to be ‘on the up’ but will need to be. NEWSREADER can see every chance. Let’s see whether BARGAIN can use the inside gate to an positive effect. She hasn’t been wonderful at jumping away just yet.
Selections: 1. Forbidden Love (top tip), 2. Joviality, 11. Newsreader, 12. Bargain

Race 6:
Pace down the bottom from a few. I have 9, 11 and 10 up front. DEPRIVE’s most recent win was in this race 12 months ago and his most recent run was a glimpse that he may be somewhere near his best. He tends to settle well off the front so tempo may not be ideal but he has overcome such things many times before. IRITHEA has some fresh form about her and certainly has the quality too. PRIME CANDIDATE leaps up tot he level but it is hard to knock how he’s going throughout this prep. Has already run well dropping back to 1200m. Reverting to 1200m should work well for SPECIAL REWARD as well.
Selections: 1. Deprive (top tip), 10. Irithea, 9. Prime Candidate, 2. Special Reward

Race 7:
So then, here’s the big one. Will NATURE STRIP want to cross over the top of HAUT BRION HER (stablemate) and DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR? I think, yes, he will probably want to do just that. Back into fave after the barrier draw but I’m not in love with how he’s going. Best sprinter here?? Yes, he may well be, and if he peaks for the ‘grand final’ after a sub-standard showing (and I know an excuse was put forward) then great…..but I’ll risk. CLASSIQUE LEGEND has been aimed at this since last year when he was painfully unlucky. This bigger field suits him better than last start (when he was camped wide). GYTRASH beat NATURE fair and square so is dangerous to risk. TREKKING top three again. I don’t mind him at all, nor stablemate BIVOUAC for that matter. And if LIBERTINI runs up to what she did fresh she can win for sure. Always an open race!
Selections: 3. Classique Legend (top tip), 7. Gytrash, 2. Trekking, 11. Libertini

Race 8:
AVILIUS will run in the Caulfield Cup if the rain arrives (which I presume it will). Top pick if here but I doubt he is. With or without him there’s barely any speed in the race at all. The lead probably falls to QUINTESSA on the backup? And I have 3, 7 and 5 (if here) next in line. LOOKS LIKE ELVIS does have some 2000m form about him. It’s not extensive but it’s alright (6th in the Turnbull). His recent lead-ups indicate a win in something like this would be just reward for solid effort. THINK IT OVER racing well. STAR OF THE SEAS was a bit flat in the Epsom now is fairly deep into his career to have first go beyond 1600m. Maybe?
Selections: Avilius if he runs, otherwise: 5. Looks Like Elvis (scratched), 7. Think It Over, 12. Quintessa, 2. Star Of The Seas

bet365 – Suggested Play:

Race 6: Deprive
Race 7: Classique Legend
Race 8: Star Of The Seas

3. Classique Legend
4. Gytrash
