Brisbane Roar

Brisbane Roar FC vs Peninsula Power

4:00PM SUN 25 OCT @ AJ Kelly Field 1

Peninsula Power

This Season/ Last RD- The Roar are currently in 6th place, having won 8 of their 20 games this season. Whilst the Power are doing strongly in 2nd place, having been victorious in 14 of their 19 games this campaign. Brisbane have also drawn 3 and lost 9, as they sit on 27 competition points. And for the Power, they’ve drawn 1 and lost 4. They currently are on 43 points. As they sit just a sole victory of 1st place. Brisbane have produced 36 goals and leaked 30 so far. And for the Power, their numbers are 38 and 21 respectively. From Brisbane’s past 5 clashes they’ve managed to win just 1 and draw also just 1. With the other 3 all unfortunately being losses for them. And for the Power, they’ve won 4 of their past 5 clashes with ease. And that sole other 1 being a defeat.

Brisbane’s last match was a close 1-0 defeat to Olympic FC, played out at Goodwin Park 1. The only strike of the match went to Leck in the 68th minute. And the Roar’s sole caution was a Dehmie yellow in the 30th minute. While for the Power in their latest clash, at AJ Kelly Park, they destroyed the Eastern Suburbs 4 goals to nil. Their strikes came through a double to Pengelly in the 11th and 16th minutes. Whist Roper (54th min) and Clark (83rd min), also both got in on the action. They received no cautions throughout the match.

Key Player- The Power have produced a simply magnificent 38 goals so far this campaign. So as a result of that, they’ll have an abundance of chances against a fairly average Roar side. This is where Tipaldo steps in for Brisbane. From 20 games this season, he’s scored 12 goals. He’s ranked 3rd in the competition so far. And he’ll need to show some more of that fine form if Brisbane wish to cause an upset and in-turn, take anything out of this clash. The Power have plenty of Power (no pun intended). But for the Roar, he may well be their only hope in this one.

Betting Tip- Pick the Power to win at $1.40 (bet365)

Olympic FC

Olympic FC vs Sunshine Coast Wanderers

6:00PM SUN 25 OCT @ Goodwin Park

Sunshine Coast Wanderers

This Season/ Last RD- Olympic have won 14 of their 21 games so far, as they sit high and mighty in 1st place. While for the Sunshine Coast, they’ve won just 6 of their 20 appearances so far, as they sit in 8th position on the ladder. Brisbane have also drawn 4 and lost 3. They currently reside on 46 points. As for the Sunshine Coast, they’ve drawn 6 and been defeated 4 times. They currently are on 22 competition points. Brisbane have scored 44 times so far this campaign and leaked just 18 goals. Their goals against being the best in the entire competition. While the Wanderers have scored 39 goals and leaked 46. And in terms of form, Brisbane have won 4 of their past 5. And their other match was a draw. And for the Wanderers, their form has seen them 2 of their past 5. There’s also been 2 draws in there and a sole defeat as well.

Brisbane’s latest game was an easy 3-0 victory over Capalaba. That match was contested at Goodwin Park. And for the Wanderers, in their latest affair, they drew 1-1 with the Strikers. That game was played at Ballinger Park. Olympic’s goals came via Sekiya in the 9th minute, Lofthouse in the 17th minute and Dais in the 80th minute. They also got no cautions throughout the game. And for the Sunshine Coast, their only goal was produced via Boyce in the 81st minute. As he claimed an exciting, late equalizer for his side. A yellow to Knight in the 89th minute was the only card they got throughout the match.

Key Player- Daniel Leck. He’s banged in 15 goals so far this season, which ranks him = 2nd in QLD. And on 4 occasions this year, he’s scored twice in a match. And funnily enough he also previously played for the Brisbane Roar NPL side, where he scored 12 goals from 40 matches for the club (according to Wikipedia). Whilst he also played first-team Football for Brisbane as well. With Olympic all but set to win this game comfortably, I think it’s safe to expect him to make quite the impact.

Betting Tip- Pick Olympic to be victorious at $1.28 (bet365)
