Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 4:
CHICA FUERTE (1) Having third run back from a spell. Put in a competitive run when placing 2nd last run at Flemington and going down in grade. Gets the green light today as the race suits and will be difficult to beat. LOVE SENSATION (4) Ended up 5.4L behind the winner at Randwick last time on a soft surface. Happy to forgive that run and dropping in grade. Displays very good finishing speed. Can get the job done. VIDIANO (7) Second up from a spell. Landed the spoils when winning last time at Pakenham but racing in stronger company. One of the main dangers. MISS INBETWEEN (2) Third up. Started $6 and ended up 2L behind the winner at Flemington last time on a good surface and facing a stronger grade. Not the worst in this field.

Race 6:
SCARLET DREAM (4) Kept finding the line when 3rd last time at Flemington and second up from a break. Might take a while to wind up but should be hitting top gear in the straight. Winning hope. QUANTUM MECHANIC (7) Landed the spoils when winning two runs back at Flemington but facing a stronger grade. Been in the money 4 from 5 attempts this preparation. Keep in mind. GRAND DE FLORA (8) Having second run back from a spell. Was 2.8L behind the winner at Flemington last time on a good track but displays good closing speed. Open to improvement and has a show in this field. YAMAZAKI (5) Bold effort when 4th last start at Flemington. Has a great burst of speed late. Expect to go close.

Race 7:
LIBERTINI (8) Proven record first up with 2 wins from 4 starts. Winner three runs back at Randwick and strong performer at this distance. Should land a nice spot just off the speed. Must respect in this event. SEPTEMBER RUN (13) Chimed in with a win three runs back at Flemington and possesses good closing speed. Likely threat. ANCESTRY (5) Got the cash when winning last run here and expecting to settle positively. Should go well. MASKED CRUSADER (6) Nice effort when winning two runs back at Randwick and likely to race off the speed. Must come into consideration

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 4:
LOVE SENSATION made ground to finish only 5L off the winner in the G1 Surround last start and looks ready for the mile now. In a small field from an ideal draw, hopefully she can be closer in the run; she looks very well placed. CHICA FUERTE came out second best in a blanket finish last start in the Kewney. She nearly won the Edward Manifold third-up last prep and maps for the run of the race. MISS INBETWEEN maps to potentially lead but the back end of the mile appears to see her out. VIDIANO won a maiden nicely first-up and while there is more depth here, she has upside.
Selections: 4. Love Sensation (Top Tip), 1. Chica Fuerte, 2. Miss Inbetween, 7. Vidiano

Race 6:
OCEANEX worked home well enough to win a recent trial to suggest she could win this first-up. She is yet to miss at top three finish at the track which includes two runs at track/trip. She did get over a lot more ground by the end of last preparation but if she finds a nice spot in running there’s nothing to suggest she couldn’t knock this off along the way to bigger things. SPANISH REEF generally improves significantly third-up and is a mile specialist. SCARLET DREAM worked home very well first-up into the minor money but stats suggest she can taper off second-up after a big first-up run. QUANTUM MECHANIC was a noticeable drifter in betting last start ($8-$16) but closed strongly into 2nd.
Selections: 2. Oceanex (Top Tip), 1. Spanish Reef, 4. Scarlet Dream, 7. Quantum Mechanic

Race 7:
Concede LIBERTINI has a sticky draw to overcome but she flies fresh and knocked off Classique Legend first-up over the trip last prep. It all comes down to where she gets in running, with even luck she should go close. SWATS THAT seems over the odds after two good efforts so far this prep. Third-up, drawn ideally and back to a track with a bend where she has won previously are all ticks. SEPTEMBER RUN will need luck from the draw but must be a chance. HEY DOC just loves The Valley and he certainly wouldn’t surprise. Chances don’t end there…
Selections: 8. Libertini (Top Tip), 14. Swats That, 13. September Run, 1. Hey Doc
