Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 6:
NAMAKWA (1) Landed the spoils when winning last start at this track and displays good tactical speed. Racing consistently since returning from a break. Should take beating. MARCOLT (6) Racing again inside a week. Placed 2nd last run at Sandown but facing a stronger grade. Include in all exotics. REUBER (2) Came on strongly to finish 2nd last time at the track. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Will be in the finish. LITERATI (3) Backs up quickly today. Chimed in with a win two runs back at Ballarat but rises in weight today. Worth an each way bet in this.

Race 7:
CURRAN (1) Chimed in with a win last time around here but rising in weight. Tracking very well this campaign. Will be in the finish. SNICKERDOODLEDANDY (3) Fought on gamely when winning last time at this track but rising in grade. Can go through the gears. No shock to see a win. PIONEER RIVER (4) Having second run back from a break. Stormed home when 2nd last start at the track. Should just about get the run of the race. Has each way claims. SIR DAVY (7) Really dug deep when winning last run at Sandown and goes down in weight. Likely to get a nice run behind the speed. Exotics hope in this event.

Race 8:
DICE ROLL (13) Handy enough when winning last start at Sandown and expecting to settle positively. Ultra competitive this preparation with 2 wins from as many runs. Should be very competitive and is a genuine threat. RUBISAKI (11) Kept finding the line when 2nd last run at the track. Right in the thick of it and is a major player. YULONG JANUARY (1) Brave effort to win last start at this track and should race on the speed. Racing consistently this preparation. Follow market leads. ODEON (8) Placed 3rd last run at this venue. Having third run back from a break. Could win with the right run.

Race 9:
RED CAN MAN (1) Races well fresh winning 3 from 6 attempts. Put in a competitive run when placing 2nd three runs back at Ascot and dropping in class. Better claims. MUNTASEERA (10) Brave effort to win three runs back at Morphettville and suited at this distance in the past. Can give this a shake. SARTORIAL SPLENDOR (5) Left nothing to chance when winning last start at Caulfield and expecting to settle positively. Tracking very well this preparation. Modest chance for multis. BANQUO (3) Caught the eye when 2nd three runs back at this course and gets a nice run behind the speed. Not the worst in this field.

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 6:
6, 15, 18 were down to run Wednesday? Not sure leader. 8, 12, 17 maybe from 1, 3? NAMAKWA was a strong winner here last time with blinkers added. He hit the lead 300m out off a fast speed (+9.8L vs all averages) yet was still race-fastest last 200m. Up to 60kg here is the challenge. REUBER, SWEET KAROLINA, MARCOLT, TOKEN SPIRIT, OH SO FAR all chased him, with 1.5L second to sixth. LITERATI chased hard on tough track last week. His Redwood Shadow form ties in. Expect better CAKEWALK BABY back on wetter. AZNAVOUR has been good since blinkers went on. UNIQUE ARTIST looked good on synthetic.
Selections: 1. Namakwa (Top Tip), 2. Reuber, 7. Aznavour, 5. Sweet Karolina

Race 7:
CURRAN closed in on Ayrton (gap to third) before very good win here (ears pricked) in 1:02.88 (+12.4L versus average) for 1100m. He comes up to 59kg but happy to stick. PIONEER RIVER returned gelded that same race and charged home. He is fitter with a 2kg swing, draws in? AIDENSFIELD has Odeum form and is jumping out nicely. Very wary of her at the $9 early. AWARD WINNER was backed and won in good time at Caulfield. MAHA fitter/improver. SNICKERDOODLEDANDY did a great job to win last time off a moderate tempo. Back to 1200m here but is a winning hope.
Selections: 1. Curran (Best of the Day), 4. Pioneer River, 11. Aidensfield, 3. Snickerdoodledandy

Race 8:
SPEED: 1, 6 & 16 from 3, 8, 9, 10 & 13, who can all be handy. 2 & 17 also up there? YULONG JANUARY was a gritty winner here last start, beating many of today’s key rivals. There was 2L over the first eight runners. RUBISAKI loomed to win; ODEON gave his all, fitter now. ARAMAYO was luckless and only clear late yet ran race-fastest last 200m. DICE ROLL beat Yulong January and another subsequent winner, BIOMETRIC. Wetter ground no issue. BANDERSNATCH brings in different formline but is well up to these. ROMANCER won well fresh, wetter a plus. MORRISSY (forgive file fresh) and VIRAL improvers!
Selections: 13. Dice Roll (Top Tip), 11. Rubisaki, 7. Aramayo, 9. Bandersnatch

Race 9:
SATORIAL SPLENDOR led/won here, beating HALVORSEN and IDIDITFORLOVE before stepping to 1100m at Caulfield and leading all the way again. This time he beat MUNTASEERA and they beat BLESS HER clearly into third. Given pattern of the day at Caulfield (leaders suited) and modest tempo I do feel Muntaseera wins that race all things being equal. BANQUO has jumped out well and split recent Group 1 winners Zoutori and Tofane here in September. THE ASTROLOGIST comes off some clear forgive runs. WILLIAM THOMAS is drawn to swoop, ditto Halvorsen.
Selections: 3. Banquo (Value Bet), 10. Muntaseera, 9. The Astrologist, 5. Sartorial Splendor

Unibet – The Professor:

Race 8: Axe (4.60)

Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 6:
DESERT LORD (3) First up. Handy enough when winning three runs back at Doomben and proven performer at this distance in the past. Should go well. PHANTOM FALCON (9) Bolted in when winning last start at Gold Coast and shows good early pace. Suitably placed in this race. DR WHY NOT (5) Honest race when 2nd last start at Eagle Farm and ideal distance as proven previously. Should jump out and bowl along. Chance for exotics punters. ROMAN AUREUS (10) Resuming after a spell. Got the upper hand late when winning last start at Doomben. Chance for exotics punters.

Race 7:
SO YOU WIN (2) Stormed home when 2nd two runs back at Eagle Farm and backs up quickly today. Been in the money 4 from 5 attempts this preparation. Possesses very good finishing speed. Big chance. LAURE ME IN (4) Solid effort when winning two runs back at Scone. Shows good closing speed. Ticks plenty of boxes and looks like value. IN GOOD HEALTH (3) Was dominant when winning two runs back at Morphettville but will be racing over further ground. Should come to hand quickly. Open to improvement and is a strong chance again. HUMBOLT CURRENT (7) Good run when placing 2nd last start at Gold Coast and displays very good closing speed. Modest chance for multis.

Race 8:
AMISH BOY (2) Did well to finish 3rd last start at Eagle Farm. Should get going late. Cannot underestimate. AXE (10) Scored a victory two runs back at Doomben. Very competitive this campaign. Winnable race. GROUNDSWELL (1) Good win three runs back at Morphettville and expecting to settle positively. Racing consistently this preparation. Genuine winning chance. BOOMSARA (4) Competitive effort when 2nd last start at Eagle Farm and suited by the weight drop. Races well third up winning 2 from 4 runs. Worth an each way bet in this.

Race 9:
LILLEMOR (9) Brave effort to win last start at Randwick and should jump out and bowl along. Has the ability to figure. BOOMTOWN LASS (2) Second up. Ran well when 2nd last start at Eagle Farm but bit of extra work to do with more weight today. Include in all exotics. INTREPIDACIOUS (7) Won narrowly three runs back at Caulfield and change in trainer to D L Freedman. Won’t be far away during the run. Good prospect for the exotics at least. NIEDORP (3) Third up from a spell. Produced an eye catching run when 3rd two runs back at Gold Coast. Chance.

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 6:
Exactamente likely makes use of a decent draw & goes through to lead, competition from nos.1, 5 & 9 tempo will be at least genuine in what is a good quality Class 6 Plate. I’m with DESERT LORD who has been fitted up for his return with a nice trial second recently run in good time where he wasn’t asked for any effort. If you have any doubts about him first up go back & have a look at his fresh win last prep! AXE has been a real find this prep for Michael Costa, just keeps on stepping up, will need luck early however either way cannot leave out. Watch on REALLY DISCREET, likely stalks the pace
Selections: 3. Desert Lord (Best of the Day), 1. Axe (SCRATCHED), 14. Really Discreet (SCRATCHED), 10. Roman Aureus

Race 7:
First of the ‘majors’ today is the Cup where Inverloch likely leads In Good Health, Maid Of Ore can trail the pair. SO YOU WIN has also accepted for Rosehill on Saturday, at this early stage not sure where he’s headed however if here looks tough to beat. On the back up from last week he finished close up in a race which was too short & lacking any tempo up front. This suits nicely & he’s drawn to get the right run. Going to throw the local FLASH AAH in the mix, underrated galloper who gave every indication last start he’s now looking for this trip. INVERLOCH back in distance can give a sight.
Selections: 2. So You Win (Top Tip), 6. Flash Aah, 1. Inverloch, 3. In Good Health

Race 8:
No favours at the gates for a few of the main hopes in the Eye Liner with Groundswell & Axe coming up with 13 & 14 at this early stage. They are the pace in the race & will be looking to scoot across, 4 & 5 appear the likely competition however I’m of the opinion they’ll get over ok. That being the case I’ll lean GROUNDSWELL, excuses his first local start however his effort at Eagle Farm last time was terrific setting a strong pace only being run over late, back 150m a definite plus. AMISH BOY also engaged Race 5, should he run here is a definite winning chance. Ditto AXE, go wide with exotics
Selections: 1. Groundswell (Top Tip), 2. Amish Boy, 10. Axe, 11. Macewen

Race 9:
The Gai Waterhouse is always an exciting way to wind up the big day as it’s generally a race with many winning hopes. Good speed through the likes of 2, 3, 5, 7 & 9, could be others also? With all that going on up front PENNINO just might be the one to get the last crack at them, she’s dropping heavily in grade from here 3 runs this prep & comes in with a nice freshen up. BOOMTOWN LASS second up gets the rails gate & won’t want the front, she’ll trail the speed & get every chance in the run. NIEDORP freshened up bolted in a recent trial in quick time, must include. Sticking with that trio.
Selections: 1. Pennino (Top Tip), 2. Boomtown Lass, 3. Niedorp, 4. Blazing Miss

bet365 – Suggested Play:

Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 6:
TYCOONIST (12) Good show when finishing 3rd last time at this venue and goes down in weight. Should be swooping on the field late. Will give a big sight. PAPAL WARRIOR (14) Kept running on late when 2nd last start at Warwick Farm and always seems to find the line well. Racing consistently this campaign. Can feature. TAKSU (8) Grabbed towards the finish when 3rd last time at Caulfield but will have to carry more weight. Use betting as a guide. COUNT DE RUPEE (3) Solid effort when winning two runs back around here. Could work into the placings.

Race 7:
STOCKMAN (8) Kept finding the line when 3rd last start around here and will appreciate a good barrier. Displays very good closing speed. Will give a big sight. PARRY SOUND (6) Good show when placing 2nd last start at the track. Very competitive this campaign. One of the major players. SO YOU WIN (1) Came on strongly when 2nd two runs back at Eagle Farm and can go through the gears. Been in the money 4 from 5 attempts this preparation. Expected to fight out the finish. YONKERS (3) Brave effort to win last start at Caulfield but up in weight today. Tracking very well this campaign. Can go on with it.

Race 8:
KATALIN (7) Second up. Handy enough when winning last start at Randwick. Looks suited and should just win this. BELLUCI BABE (1) Won narrowly three runs back at Hawkesbury but up in weight today. Been in the money 3 from 4 attempts this campaign. Every chance today. EXPAT (15) Nice run when 3rd last run at this track and third up from a spell. Expecting to settle positively. One of the hopes. ROCK MY WAND (12) Hit the line well when 3rd last run at Randwick but likely to get back. Suited in this race and can place today.

Race 9:
WAIRERE FALLS (12) Third up from a spell. Good run when finishing 2nd last start around here. Respect against this field. STEELY (7) Solid effort when winning three runs back at Hawkesbury. Include in all exotics. OSCAR ZULU (8) Third up from a break. Chimed in with a win last time at this course. Winning hope. CRIMINAL CODE (4) Second up. Hit the line well when 3rd last start at Randwick. One at a bit of odds.

bet365 – Suggested Play:

Race 6: Tycoonist
Race 7: Stockman
Race 8: Katalin
Race 9: Wairere Falls

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 6:
BULLETIN has been poor out here but has shown speed at trials. If he’s not up to leading today then it will fall to 6, 12 (drawn in today) and ROYAL BANQUET should be stalking relatively handy today. He got a long way back 1st-up and was closing out OK after being held up early in the straight. Good enough to compete well at this level and should be at some value. COUNT DE RUPEE ran to expectations in a much stronger race up north. Respect to him coming back to something like this. TYCOONIST could be closer to the front today and is racing in good order.
Selections: 7. Royal Banquet (Top Tip), 3. Count De Rupee, 12. Tycoonist, 4. Smart Image

Race 7:
13 and 14 will run earlier. Waller with the top five but 1 and 5 are also accepted for the Ipswich Cup. I presume SO YOU WIN probably stays up north but this is winnable and he is in need of a win. Obviously well credentialed if he is sent back to this, he’s been mixing it with some good gallopers of late and beating some of them home. Stablemate YONKERS a handy backup option for the stable. Racing well in Melbourne of late and has won four times for Bowman. STOCKMAN and PARRY SOUND are stretching the friendship a bit but both can run into the finish. Ditto APPROACH DISCREET.
Selections: 1. So You Win (Top Tip), 3. Yonkers, 8. Stockman, 12. Approach Discreet

Race 8:
Speed supplied by 2 and 15. 6 and 11 perhaps handy?? KATALIN returned from a long break with a most emphatic win and as long as she is comfortable on something softer she could dominate these is similar fashion. Form from that Kenso win too; 3rd and 7th have won since. BELLUCI BABE drawn wide but she’s fit and been going well in races at this level (against some males). INVINCIANO made a great return and will be up the front end. JOVIALITY tried her hand at a high level when last seen. Trial excellent but draws way out which looks a bit tricky.
Selections: 7. Katalin (Value Bet), 1. Belluci Babe, 2. Invinciano

Race 9:
A 1500m BM78 to finish on and while numbers are plentiful pace is a bit scarce. 9 can do the job of leading. OSCAR ZULU need not get too far away from the front although he does come up with a double figure draw today. Have to admire the way he’s come back though and looks to be still on the up. Stablemates WAIRERE FALLS and PAPAL WARRIOR appear to be both looming up on their next win. Maybe WAIRERE could set up much handier today? CRIMINAL CODE makes it a Waller top four for me.
Selections: 8. Oscar Zulu (Top Tip), 12. Wairere Falls, 17. Papal Warrior, 4. Criminal Code
