SAVATOXL (4) Game effort to win last time at Caulfield and expecting to settle positively. Races well second up winning 3 from 4 runs. Likely threat. LOMBARDO (6) Was all too good winning last start at Caulfield but bit of extra work to do with more weight today. Going well this preparation. Major hope. INGRATIATING (11) Handy enough when winning three runs back at Caulfield and carrying less weight this time. Should enjoy a cosy run off the pace. Chance to break through and a could give a show. SNEAKY FIVE (12) Won last time at Caulfield and goes down in weight. Second up from a break. Include.

JONKER can atone for a less than ideal start to his prep in what is a moderate Group 1. Found to have a couple of issues post-race after the Bobbie Lewis before a luckless run in the Premiere in Sydney, crossing the line a shade over 3L behind Masked Crusader with plenty to give. From the good draw, I envisage him leading this, with last start Schillaci winner SAVATOXL sitting outside of him. CRYSTAL BOUND will settle handy (likely leader’s back) but will need some luck in the straight. She stuck on gamely for third in a swoopers race last start. AWAY GAME is overs, despite the wide gate. INGRATIATING was awesome when winning first up. If he brings that form, he’s a live chance with just 53kg on his back.

Race 7:
Haven’t seen the best of JONKER (2) in two runs this spring but both have come with genuine excuses. Took off on a solo mission down the straight first up and pulled up with an issue before going to the Premiere at Randwick and finding trouble in running. Should be positive with him here, gets an in-form jockey in the saddle, and his placings in the Galaxy and Kingsford Smith read well in a thin Group One. SAVATOXL (4) is the Goodwood winner and was back at least as well when winning the Schillaci. Race rated higher than LOMBARDO (6) winning at listed level on the same card but he has been spacing his rivals in recent time and the win around here two back says he has a hope. INGRATIATING (11) ran a poor one last time but form prior makes him a genuine threat.
