Leicester City vs. Leeds

Leicester City in the head-to-head at 1.80 (Picklebet)

This is primarily a bet against the injury-hit Leeds who limp into this fixture in 0-1-5 form. In the last four games they have been out-scored by 17 goals to 2. Leeds should get some sort of lift under the new manager Jesse Marsch, but he will only have been with the club for a few days by the time this game kicks off.

Newcastle vs. Brighton

Newcastle +0.5 (double chance) at 1.52 (Unibet)

Newcastle bring 4-3-0 form into this clash while Brighton have lost each of their last three games by 2+ goals. I’ve shied away from Newcastle in the head-to-head market because Brighton have a good record at St. James’ Park.

Southampton vs. Aston Villa

Southampton +0.5 (double chance) at 1.64 (Unibet)

Aston Villa beat ten-man Brighton last round but prior to that they were in ordinary form, drawing Leeds then losing to Newcastle and Watford. Southampton have won three of their last four and they have only lost one of their last ten games. Southampton boast a strong record at Villa Park. They have gone 4-2-0 in recent years and have won each of their three previous visits. Southampton haven’t lost at Villa Park since 2004.

Wolves vs. Crystal Palace

Wolves +0.5 (double chance) at 1.34 (Picklebet)

Wolverhampton will be the fresher of the two sides given they weren’t involved in the FA Cup in midweek. Palace are comfortably mid-table so I expect they will go full strength midweek in their quest for a deep cup run. Wolves put in a poor performance last weekend so I’m expecting a response from the side at home following the criticism they received. Palace have a poor 1-4-9 record as the away underdog over the last 12 months and they lost their previous two visits to Molineux Stadium by 2-goal margins. Crystal Palace have only won one of their last eight games.

Burnley vs. Chelsea

Chelsea in the head-to-head at 1.50 (bet365)

Chelsea have won each of their last four visits to Turf Moor and their last three wins were by 4, 2 and 3-goal margins.

Liverpool vs. West Ham

Over 2.5 goals at 1.50 (Picklebet)

Eight of the last ten meetings between the two sides at Anfield went over 2.5 goals, including the last six straight.

Watford vs. Arsenal

Arsenal in the head-to-head at 1.60 (Unibet)

Watford have gone 2-1-10 at home over the last 12 months and they have lost seven consecutive home games. Six of those seven defeats were by 2+ goals. Arsenal bring a three-game winning streak away from home into this clash.

Man City vs. Man Utd

Man Utd in the head-to-head at 9.50 (Unibet)
Man Utd +0.5 (double chance) at 3.30 (Unibet)

Manchester City should win this fixture but football is a funny thing. Nine of the previous twelve meetings between these two sides in all competitions were won by the visitors. Specifically in the Premier League, eight of the last twelve meetings between the two saw the visiting side win. Since 2018, United have gone 3-0-1 at Etihad Stadium.
