At the time of writing the biggest Draftstars contest for this round is a $75,000 competition for Collingwood vs. the Western Bulldogs. Entry costs $15 and the top 25% of participants will receive a payout.

North Melbourne vs. Port Adelaide

Spanning this season and the last, North Melbourne have lost 11 of their last 12 games. The Kangaroos have lost six straight and the margins of defeat in their last four games were 68, 60, 50 and 78. After a 0-5 start to the season Port Adelaide have won three on the trot. Port Adelaide won their last two away fixtures against North Melbourne by 36 and 52-point margins. The Power have gone 5-1 as the away favourite over the last twelve months and the Kangaroos have only won one of their last six games in Hobart. It’s also worth noting that North Melbourne have failed to cover the line in their last four games while Port Adelaide have covered the line in each of their last four. I would back Port Adelaide in the head-to-head at 1.15 (BlueBet, PlayUp). Those looking for more risk should consider Port Adelaide -34.5 at 1.91 (bet365).

Geelong vs. St Kilda

Geelong have won six straight against St Kilda. The Cats have gone 14-3 as the favourite over the last 12 months and 7-1 as the away favourite. St Kilda have an impressive 7-2 line record as the underdog over the last 12 months so I will stay clear of the line and simply back Geelong in the head-to-head at 1.72 (bet365).

Gold Coast vs. Fremantle

Gold Coast have lost three of their last four and they have gone 2-6 as the home underdog over the last 12 months. The Suns have also gone 1-4 as the home underdog against Fremantle in recent years. Gold Coast pulled off a huge upset over Sydney last week but they have gone 1-5 on the back of a win over the last 12 months. Fremantle have made a 7-1 start to the season and they have won six consecutive games. Two of their last three wins came against sides currently in the top 5. With 57 points conceded on average, the Dockers boast the best defensive record in the competition. Also noteworthy is the fact that Fremantle have gone 5-1 at the line as the away favourite over the last 12 months. I would back Fremantle in the head-to-head at 1.52 (Picklebet).
