Fulham vs. Chelsea

[This match is part of Gameweek 19 for fantasy football purposes]

Fulham +0.5 at 1.73 (bet365)

Fulham have gone 3-0-0 since the World Cup break and they have only conceded one goal during that stretch. Chelsea have only won one of their last five games and their injury list continues to grow, with Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic the latest casualties. By my count they have nine players unavailable for this match. The reason I haven’t opted for Fulham in the head-to-head is because striker Aleksandar Mitrovic will miss one game due to accumulated yellow cards.

Wolves vs. West Ham

Wolves in the head-to-head at 2.64 (BoomBet)
Wolves +0.5 at 1.48 (bet365)

Wolverhampton look improved under new manager Julen Lopetegui but this is primarily a bet against West Ham. The Hammers bring 0-1-5 form into this clash and each of their last five opponents have scored at least twice. West Ham have gone 2-3-12 away from home over the last twelve months and 1-0-9 as the away underdog. Wolverhampton have gone 3-1-1 at home against West Ham since promotion.

Brighton vs. Liverpool

Both teams to score at 1.51 (BoomBet)

Both teams scored in each of Brighton’s last seven games. The same can be said for Liverpool’s last six games.

Over 2.5 goals at 1.61 (bet365)
Over 3.5 goals at 2.50 (bet365)

Each of Brighton’s last seven games went over 2.5 goals. Six of those seven games went over 3.5 and four went over 4.5. It has been a similar story for Liverpool. Each of their last six games went over 2.5 goals and three of their last four went over 3.5 goals. The last time these two sides met the scoreline was 3-3.

Nottingham Forest vs. Leicester City

Nottingham Forest +0.5 at 1.53 (bet365)

Nottingham Forest have gone unbeaten in their last six home games in all competitions. They have a respectable 3-2-2 record as the home underdog this season. Leicester City have lost three consecutive games and they are banged up at the moment, with James Maddison among eight players currently dealing with injury.

Brentford vs. Bournemouth

Brentford in the head-to-head at 1.66 (bet365)

Brentford bring 3-3-0 form into this clash and they have won three of their last four games. The Bees’ last two wins were by 2-goal margins. Brentford have scored at least twice in their last three games. Bournemouth, meanwhile, have gone 1-0-7 in their last eight. The Cherries have gone 0-0-3 since the World Cup with zero goals scored and seven goals conceded. Brentford have the 7th best home record this season, while Bournemouth are tied for the worst away record.

Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace

Chelsea in the head-to-head at 1.61 (BlueBet)

While I’m pessimistic about Chelsea’s chances against Fulham, I am more optimistic about their chances against Crystal Palace. The Eagles are in poor form. They have gone 1-0-4 in their last five games in all competitions and the manor of their defeats is a cause for concern. Chelsea have won ten consecutive games against Crystal Palace.
