Man Utd vs. Everton

Note that, at the time of writing, Man Utd have yet to play their midweek home fixture against Brentford.

Draw at 4.40 (Dabble)

This is a value play. Manchester United have generally been strong at home but they haven’t scored a goal in three games. Everton have won one and drawn three of their last four games and this included fixtures against Chelsea and Tottenham. Everton’s last three visits to Old Trafford resulted in draws. Away draws are a common occurrence for the Toffees. Seven of their last 18 away fixtures resulted in stalemates. Had you wagered $1 on the draw for every Everton away game over the last twelve months, you would be up $11.30 in profit. Similarly, had you wagered $1 on the draw for Everton’s last twelve visits to Old Trafford, you would be up $9.35 in profit. Two of Man Utd’s last three home games resulted in draws. Those two draws came against Leeds and Southampton – teams of a similar calibre to Everton.

Aston Villa vs. Nottingham Forest

Aston Villa in the head-to-head at 1.66 (bet365)

Aston Villa have improved markedly under Unai Emery, who has taken them from 17th up to 7th. They bring season-best 5-1-0 form into this fixture and have conceded just two goals in their last six games. Nottingham Forest have the worst away form in the league. They have gone 1-3-10 away from home this season, with just 5 goals scored and a whopping 34 goals conceded. Forest have lost four consecutive away games coming into this fixture and they are winless in eight games.

Leeds vs. Crystal Palace

Leeds draw no bet at 1.50 (Dabble)
Leeds +0.5 (double chance) at 1.30 (Dabble)

Leeds should be able to get at least a point from this game. The Whites have gone 4-3-1 as the home favourite over the last twelve months while Crystal Palace have gone 2-5-10 as the away underdog. Leeds have gone 2-0-0 at home against Crystal Palace since promotion. Palace have received the expected new manager bounce under Roy Hodgson, but they only just squeezed past the out-of-sorts Leicester City at home last week, courtesy of a stoppage time goal. Crystal Palace will be without talisman Wilfried Zaha for the next 3-4 weeks due to a groin injury.
