Bournemouth

Bournemouth vs. Tottenham

Tottenham

Tottenham in the head-to-head at 2.04 (Betfair)
Tottenham +0.5 at 1.35 (Betfair)

Spanning this season and the last, Bournemouth bring 0-1-5 form into this game. Tottenham under new manager Ange Postecoglou look to be heading in the right direction. They drew Brentford away in week 1 and beat Manchester United 2-0 at home in week 2. Tottenham have gone 5-4-2 as the away favourite over the last twelve months.

Arsenal

Arsenal vs. Fulham

Fulham

Arsenal in the head-to-head at 1.27 (Betfair)

Fulham look short of goals at the moment and this hasn’t been helped by the confirmed departure of striker Aleksandar Mitrović. They conceded 19 shots and 9 shots on target against Everton in Week 1 and 17 shots and 8 shots on target against Brentford in Week 2. This doesn’t bode well against the side with the second best scoring record last season. I’m going to back Arsenal in the head-to-head rather than at the -1.5 handicap because nine of Fulham’s ten away defeats over the last twelve months were by one-goal margins. Both of Arsenal’s opening wins this season were by a one-goal margin. The reason I’m not taking Fulham +1.5 either is because I’m concerned about where their goals will come from, so that 1-goal trend is at risk.

Another noteworthy point is seventeen of Arsenal’s nineteen home games over the last twelve months went over 2.5 goals. Their last ten home fixtures went over this total. Ten of Arsenal’s last fourteen games against Fulham went over 2.5. I’m not quite confident enough about Fulham’s scoring abilities at the moment to recommend over 2.5 goals, but that selection is worth considering if the odds drift above the 1.50 mark where they are now.

Brentford

Brentford vs. Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace

Brentford +0.5 at 1.32 (Betfair)

Brentford have gone 6-6-0 as the home favourite over the last twelve months while Crystal Palace have gone 2-4-9 as the away underdog. All four previous EPL meetings between the two sides resulted in a draw. Spanning this season and the last, Brentford are unbeaten in their last five home games. This includes a draw with Tottenham and a win over Manchester City.

Brighton

Brighton vs. West Ham

West Ham

Brighton in the head-to-head at 1.53 (Unibet)
Brigthon +0.5 at 1.17 (Betfair)

Brighton have won their opening games this season by 4-1 scorelines. They have gone 6-6-0 against West Ham since promotion and 4-1-0 as the home favourite against the Hammers. West Ham have gone 1-1-11 as the away underdog over the last twelve months. West Ham won last week but they have gone 1-4-6 on the back of a win over the last twelve months.
