Newcastle have been both scoring and conceding with abandon recently. Their last seven games went over 3.5 goals and four of their last six went over 4.5 goals. Historically, Arsenal vs. Newcastle fixtures have been low scoring, so rather than back a 3.5 or 4.5 total, I will opt for the over 2.5 goals market.

Newcastle’s defence has been porous of late. They have gone 1-0-4 as the away underdog over the last twelve months and they have a miserable 1-1-10 record from their last twelve visits to Emirates Stadium. Arsenal will be backing up following a midweek away UEFA Champions League clash against Porto, so those looking for more certainty should wait for the conclusion of that game to determine if there are any new injury causes for concern.
