Man Utd

Man Utd vs. Fulham

Fulham

Man Utd in the head-to-head at 1.58 (Betfair)

Manchester United bring a four-game winning streak into this game and they have gone 12-2-3 as the home favourite over the last twelve months. Fulham have lost eight of their last ten visits to Old Trafford in all competitions and they have gone 2-3-11 as the away underdog over the last twelve months. Fulham have the second worst away record in the league this season (1-4-7). Looking at the interactive EPL form guide, Fulham have gone 0-1-5 in their last six away fixtures against strong opponents.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa vs. Nottm Forest

Nottm Forest

Aston Villa in the head-to-head at 1.58 (Betfair)

Aston Villa have gone 16-1-2 at home over the last twelve months. They have had an injury-impacted season, yet still sit in 4th place. Looking at the interactive EPL form guide, Villa have gone 5-1-0 in their last six home games against weak opponents. Nottingham Forest have gone 2-5-13 away from home over the last twelve months and they lost this fixture 2-0 last season.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth vs. Man City

Man City

Man City in the head-to-head at 1.44 (bet365)

Bournemouth have gone 0-0-13 against Manchester City since promotion and ten of those defeats were by 2+ goal margins. In their last three meetings, Man City out-scored Bournemouth by a combined 14 goals to 2. City bring 7-1-0 league form into this game, while the Cherries are winless in their last six.

Over 2.5 goals at 1.49 (Betfair)

Eleven of Bournemouth’s thirteen EPL fixtures against Manchester City went over 2.5 goals. Manchester City’s last four away fixtures went over 2.5 goals and their last three went over 3.5 goals. Seven of Bournemouth’s last nine games went over 2.5 goals.

Arsenal

Arsenal vs. Newcastle

Newcastle

Over 2.5 goals at 1.47 (Unibet)

Both sides bring high-scoring games into this fixture. Arsenal have scored 2+ goals in five straight games, 3+ goals in four of the last five and 5+ goals in three of the last five. Newcastle have been both scoring and conceding with abandon recently. Their last seven games went over 3.5 goals and four of their last six went over 4.5 goals. Historically, Arsenal vs. Newcastle fixtures have been low scoring, so rather than back a 3.5 or 4.5 total, I will opt for the over 2.5 goals market.

Arsenal in the head-to-head at 1.41 (Betfair)

Arsenal bring a five-game winning streak into this game and they have gone 15-3-2 as the home favourite over the last twelve months. Three of Arsenal’s last five games were won by 5+ goal margins. Newcastle’s defence has been porous of late. They have gone 1-0-4 as the away underdog over the last twelve months and they have a miserable 1-1-10 record from their last twelve visits to Emirates Stadium. Arsenal will be backing up following a midweek away UEFA Champions League clash against Porto, so those looking for more certainty should wait for the conclusion of that game to determine if there are any new injury causes for concern.

Wolves

Wolves vs. Sheffield Utd

Sheffield Utd

Wolves in the head-to-head at 1.50 (bet365)

This is primarily a bet against the struggling Sheffield United. They have the league-worst 1-2-9 away record this campaign. Three of their last four opponents scored 3+ goals against them and two of their last four games resulted in 5-0 defeats. Wolves bring a 5-1-2 recent record into this clash, which is likely strong enough form to secure the win over the 20th placed Blades.

West Ham

West Ham vs. Brentford

Brentford

Brentford in the head-to-head at 2.85 (Unibet)

West Ham have lost three games in a row to nil and they have lost all five games against Brentford since the Bees were promoted.

West Ham 0-2 Brentford correct score at 17.00 (bet365)

A bit of high-odds speculation to finish the round. West Ham’s last defeat was by a 2-0 scoreline, Brentford’s last win was by a 2-0 scoreline and they beat West Ham 2-0 in three of their last four meetings. West Ham have lost three games in a row to nil.
