Draftstars have a $60,000 fantasy sports contest for the Suns vs Hawks clash on Thursday night. Entry costs $15 and the top 25% of participants will receive a payout.

Gold Coast

Gold Coast vs. Hawthorn

Hawthorn

The Suns have gone 7-0 both in the head-to-head and the line at TIO Stadium since 2022. Gold Coast have generally been strong as the home side recently. They have gone 5-1 in the head-to-head and 4-2 at the line as the home favourite over the last twelve months. Hawthorn have lost five in a row away from home against Gold Coast and, with the dataset I have at hand, they have gone 0-4 as the away underdog against the Suns. Six of the Suns’ seven home wins over the last twelve months were by 1-39 points and five were by 1-24 points. Five of Hawthorn’s six defeats over the same period were by 1-39 and four were by 1-24 margins. I would back Gold Coast 1-39 at 2.40 (Dabble). Those looking for more risk should consider Gold Coast 1-24 at 3.50 (Dabble).

Sydney

Sydney vs. Carlton

Carlton

The Swans have lost four of their last five games as their injury-hit season continues to stumble under new head coach Dean Cox. After a terrible start to the season, Carlton have righted the ship with a 4-1 run. Sydney’s most recent home defeats were by 8, 4, and 20 points, so if Carlton do pull the upset, I don’t foresee it being by a large margin. Carlton’s last five wins over Sydney were by 6, 15, 5, 7 and 19 points. I would back Carlton 1-24 at 3.60 (Dabble).

Collingwood

Collingwood vs. Adelaide

Adelaide

Collingwood rested Scott Pendlebury, Brayden Maynard and Jordan De Goey last week, but still emerged victorious against Fremantle at Optus Stadium. The Pies have won nine in a row against Adelaide and the visitors have gone 1-8 as the away underdog over the last twelve months. In the head-to-head, Adelaide have lost six of their last seven as the away underdog against Collingwood. The line data contrasts with this, however. The Crows covered the line in their last four games against the Pies. Over the last twelve months, seven of Collingwood’s nine home wins were by 1-39 margins. For the Crows over the same period, all eight away defeats were by 1-39 margins and six of those defeats were by 1-24 margins. Collingwood’s last four wins over Adelaide were by 5, 1, 2 and 4 point margins. I would back Collingwood 1-39 at 2.08 (Dabble). Those looking for more risk should consider Collingwood 1-24 at 3.30 (Dabble).

Richmond

Richmond vs. North Melbourne

North Melbourne

Richmond’s last five games went under the bookmaker’s total and 10 of their last 13 games against North Melbourne went under the total. None of the last nine meetings between the Tigers and Kangaroos went over 180.5. The average total score at the MCG this season is 168.0. Richmond have played five times at this venue in 2025 for a 163.6 average. North Melbourne’s previous game at this venue last season saw 137 total points. I would back Under 180.5 at 1.50 (bet365).

West Coast

West Coast vs. St Kilda

St Kilda

West Coast have lost eleven consecutive games. St Kilda have been a reliable favourite in recent times. They have gone 5-1 as the favourite over the last twelve months (2-0 as the away favourite) and, in the dataset I have at hand, they have gone 7-1 as the favourite against the Eagles (4-0 as the away favourite). St Kilda’s last five away wins over West Coast were by 1-39 margins. Six of the Eagles’ last nine home defeats were by 1-39 margins. I would back St Kilda 1-39 at 2.20 (Dabble).
