Adelaide

Adelaide vs. Brisbane

Brisbane

There will be 1-15mm of rain on the day, but the total looks too low. The average total score at Adelaide Oval is 177.2 this season. Brisbane have averaged just 153.7 total points at home this year, but away from the Gabba they have averaged 179.5. The last five games between these two sides at Adelaide Oval went over the bookmaker’s total. The last six meetings between the two averaged 177.7 total points. I would back Over 149.5 at 1.50 (bet365). Those looking for more risk should consider Over 158.50 at 1.90 (Bet Right, BoomBet).

Richmond

Richmond vs. Sydney

Sydney

Richmond’s last eight games went under the total. With an average total of just 158.4 at the MCG this year, six of their seven games at this venue went under the total. In their last four games, Sydney have managed to score just 63, 78, 78 and 41 points. The Swans’ insipid offence saw them fail to cover the line in their last four away games. I would back Under 172.5 at 1.50 (bet365).

Geelong

Geelong vs. Gold Coast

Gold Coast

The Suns have never won at GMHBA Stadium and they have a 1-4 record as the away underdog over the last twelve months. A blowout doesn’t look too likely, however, given that all seven of the Suns’ away defeats over the last twelve months were by 1-39 margins. Narrowing it down further, six of those seven away defeats were by 1-24 margins. I would back Geelong in the head-to-head at 1.39 (Bet Right). Those looking for more risk should consider Geelong 1-39 at 2.15 (Dabble).

North Melbourne

North Melbourne vs. West Coast

West Coast

North Melbourne have shown marginally better form than West Coast in recent weeks and the Eagles have lost seven consecutive away games (1-11 away from home over the last twelve months). I’m expecting a competitive contest, however. Their last seven meetings were all settled by 15 points or less and in recent weeks they both played Richmond with comparable results (North Melbourne won by 4, West Coast lost by 2). I would back North Melbourne 1-39 at 2.15 (bet365, Dabble). Those looking for more risk should consider North Melbourne 1-24 at 3.25 (Dabble).

Melbourne

Melbourne vs. Collingwood

Collingwood

Melbourne bring a respectable 5-2 run into this game, however that falls far short of Collingwood’s 10-1 form. The Pies have won and covered the line in their last three clashes against the Demons. Collingwood have gone 6-1 at the MCG this season. A low-scoring game wouldn’t surprise me. The last ten clashes between these two saw just 142.9 points on average. Nine of those ten games went below the total of 166.5 that has been set for this game. Collingwood are averaging just 156.4 total points at the MCG this season. I would back Collingwood in the head-to-head at 1.27 (bet365, PlayUp). I would also back Under 175.5 at 1.50 (bet365). Two SGM possibilities for this game are Collingwood & Under 180.0 at 1.80 (bet365) and Collingwood & Under 170.0 at 2.20 (bet365).
