North Melbourne vs. Western Bulldogs |
![]() |
The Western Bulldogs boast a 9-0 record against sides currently outside the top 8. They have won eight in a row against North Melbourne. This game will be played at Marvel Stadium. North Melbourne have gone 1-5 at this venue, while the Western Bulldogs have gone 6-1 in the head-to-head and 5-2 at the line at Marvel Stadium this year. Prior to last week, North Melbourne were competitive in seven of their prior eight games, but they were hammered 150-65 by Hawthorn. I’m on the fence regarding the line and winning margins, so I will keep it simple and stick to the head-to-head. I would back the Western Bulldogs in the head-to-head at 1.11 (next2go).

Carlton vs. Collingwood |
![]() |
Carlton have gone 2-8 as the underdog over the last twelve months and in recent years they have gone 0-11 as the listed home underdog against Collingwood. The Pies bring a seven-game winning streak into this clash. This game will be played at the MCG, where Collingwood have an 8-1 head-to-head record this season. In contrast, Carlton have a 2-5 line record at the MCG this year. The Blues have been competitive in most of their recent defeats, but they were beaten by a 50-point margin by the 10th placed Port Adelaide last week. Harry McKay and Sam Walsh remain among those out with injury, while Charlie Curnow has failed to score a goal in two games since his return from injury. Despite Carlton’s injuries, history suggests this won’t be a blowout. The last 17 games between Carlton and Collingwood were all settled by 1-39 points and 15 of those 17 were settled by 1-24 margins. Over the last twelve months, 13 of Carlton’s 16 defeats were by 1-39 margins and 11 were by 1-24 margins. I would back Collingwood in the head-to-head at 1.22 (Dabble). Those looking for more risk should consider Collingwood 1-39 at 2.25 (Dabble).
The last three meetings between these two sides went under the total. Six of Collingwood’s nine games at the MCG this season went under the total, while all seven of Carlton’s games at this venue went under. The Pies’ and Blues’ average total scores at the MCG this season are 153.9 and 144.9, respectively. The eight most recent head-to-heads all went under 170 (150.6 average) and their most recent clash in April saw just 109 total points. I would back Under 170.5 at 1.50 (bet365).
Two SGMs using the above are:
Collingwood H2H & Under 170.0 at 1.86 (bet365)
Collingwood 1-39 & Under 170.0 at 2.90 (bet365)

West Coast vs. GWS |
![]() |
West Coast have gone 1-14 this season while GWS have gone 4-1 as the away favourite. The Giants bring 4-1 form into this game. They have won and covered the line in their last three away fixtures. I would back GWS in the head-to-head at 1.28 (PlayUp). The Eagles’ last three defeats were by 34 points or less and all eight of the Giants’ away wins over the last twelve months were by 1-39 margins. Those looking for more risk should consider GWS 1-39 at 2.25 (Dabble).
