Crystal Palace vs. Brentford |
Brentford +0.5 at 1.98 (Betfair)
Draw at 3.60 (bet365)
Crystal Palace are without a win in their last four games in all competitions (0-2-2) and they have only beaten Brentford once since the Bees were promoted (1-5-2 record). Brentford have won three of their last four games and they completed the double over Palace last season. Both teams will be playing away from home in the EFL Cup in midweek, but Brentford’s fixture against Grimsby Town is a day earlier than the Eagles’ fixture against Liverpool.
Brighton vs. Leeds |
Brighton in the head-to-head at 1.80 (bet365)
Brighton to win to nil at 3.25 (Dabble)
Leeds have gone 1-0-3 away from home since promotion and they were held goalless in three of those four games. In their most recent stint in the Premier League, Leeds failed to score in their three visits to Amex Stadium.
Tottenham vs. Chelsea |
Chelsea in the head-to-head at 2.66 (Betfair)
Chelsea +0.5 at 1.54 (Betfair)
Tottenham have been better away (4-1-0) than they have been at home (1-1-2) this season. Spurs have failed to win at home in the EPL since their Gameweek 1 win over the newly promoted Burnley. Spanning this season and the last, Chelsea bring 3-1-1 away league form into this game. The Blues completed the double over Spurs in each of the last two seasons. Chelsea have won five of their last six away games against Tottenham in all competitions. Spurs have gone 0-1-6 as the home underdog over the last twelve months.
West Ham vs. Newcastle |
Newcastle in the head-to-head at 1.65 (bet365)
This is simply a bet against the woeful West Ham, even despite the fact that Newcastle have a midweek fixture and they don’t. The Hammers have lost five consecutive home games (winless in their last nine) and their fans have been quick to turn on them when things don’t go well. Newcastle have gone 4-2-0 in their last six visits to Olympic Stadium.
Sunderland vs. Everton |
Sunderland in the head-to-head at 2.92 (Betfair)
Sunderland +0.5 at 1.53 (Betfair)
Sunderland have gone 3-1-0 at home since promotion. Only three clubs have picked up more points at home than they have this season. Everton have gone 1-0-3 away from home this campaign. Their only away win came against the bottom-of-the-table Wolves. Sunderland have won three of their last four games and they have only lost one of their last seven games.
