With the 2016 Brownlow Medal award ceremony taking place on September 26, CrownBet has again launched its Crownlow tipping competition with over $100,000 in cash plus other prizes to be won.
Entry is free.
The competition closes at 8.00 PM AEST on Monday, the 26th of September, 2016.
This competition is open to all CrownBet Rewards members. A wagering account is not required.
You must be over the age of 18 to enter and a resident of Australia or New Zealand.
Note that from now until mid November all new CrownBet Rewards members get 3,000 bonus Rewards points, valued at $30, to redeem across the CrownBet Rewards store. No deposit is required.
How to Play
For each of nine positions (fullback, centre half-back, half-back flank, centre, ruck, midfield, half-forward flank, centre half-forward and full-forward), you select one player out of the three listed who you believe will poll the most Brownlow votes for his position. The more players you pick correctly, the greater the prize.
Note that if two or more players for the same position end on equal votes, both players will be declared the winner for that position.
You can’t change your selections once your entry has been submitted.
The prizes are as follows:
9 correct selections – $100,000 in cash
8 correct selections = 2000 CrownBet Rewards points
6-7 correct selections = 1000 CrownBet Rewards points
4-5 correct selections = 750 CrownBet Rewards points
2-3 correct selections = 500 CrownBet Rewards points
1 correct selection = 250 CrownBet Rewards points
Note that 100 CrownBet Rewards points equate to $1 in bonus bets if you wish to redeem them with the CrownBet sportsbook.
If there is more than one major prize winner, those winners will share in the major prize equally.
The prizes are actually very generous given that you would have to be unlucky not to win at least 250 Rewards points (equivalent to a $2.50 bonus bet). If you pick at random you would expect to get three out of the nine positions correct, which would score you 500 Rewards points.
For those who pick at random you have a one in 19,683 chance of sharing in the grand prize, however those who follow the AFL closely will obviously stand a much better chance.
There are no turnover requirements for the cash prize. All bonus bet winnings will need to be turned over once at odds greater than 1.50.
