Ladbrokes Race Comments:

Race 6:
CATCH A FIRE has been building towards a good run and this trip looks ideal. She’ll do no work, if she can get to the right art of the track she’ll go close. WHISTLE BABY has been strong in both runs this prep and now gets out to her right trip. She won’t be too far away and should take beating. QUILATE could be the best at a bit of odds. She’s an improving mare. KANIANA can lift and one day JALAN JALAN will do everything right to win a race like this.

Race 7:
BURNING FRONT is likely to be a much better price here with a few things against him. If he has even luck going forward from the middle gate he will take some beating. ZEBRINZ is in career best form and he’s crying out for the mile. If he can get out from the inside draw he’ll charge home. SHOW A STAR gets a perfect run either in front or the box seat. He’ll be there a long way. PLOT THE COURSE runs well and a big betting watch NEVIS first-up.

Race 8:
WATERLOO SUNSET ran a nice race first-up and she’s much better suited here. If she can get into the three-wide line she’ll be hard to hold out. ACHI BABA will find this a much easier race. On a dryer track he’s a big improver. MANDALAY BAY has a stack of upside. He might be better for the run but he’s too good to leave out. MILWAUKEE and SO POYSED next best. THEANSWERMYFRIEND would be a clear top pick but the stable has said he’s headed to Sydney.

Race 9:
Wide open race to finish the day. Leaning to PAY UP BRO and hoping for a bit of odds. He’s fit now and lands straight in the box seat from the good gate. He’ll run this out strong. SADAQA also lands a perfect run. He’s not easy to catch but any of his good runs this prep are good enough. UNBREAKABLE has come back in good style. He’ll charge home along with HARADAFULL. TOP ME UP the one to catch.

Ladbrokes Race Comments:

Race 7:
GINGERNUTS has won last five including the NZ Derby and Rosehill Guineas last two. Just needs even luck in running from an awkward gate to be the one to beat again. JON SNOW Backs up after an impressive on speed win in the Tulloch last week. NZ Derby placed two runs back. Gets the gun run here tracking the leader and the one the others will have to run down. PRIZED ICON won the Victoria Derby last preparation and looks right on target for this after finishing runner-up in the Tulloch last week. The likely drier track helps and rates as one of the key chances. INFERENCE the Randwick Guineas winner two runs back and couldn’t sprint with the winner when runner-up in the Rosehill Guineas last start. Peaks fourth-up and right in the mix.

Race 8:
RUSSIAN REVOLUTION kept coming to win the Galaxy after working in the run. The speed map suggests he could get an uncontested lead here. If that’s the case will take plenty of running down. CHAUTAUQUA not entirely suited on the heavy tracks when placed in the Canterbury Stakes and George Ryder last two. Gets his chance to return to the winner’s list back to 1200m on a drier track. REBEL DANE wasn’t far from the winner in the William Reid resuming. Fitter here and won’t have much difficulty crossing to settle first three in running. Knockout hope at odds. SPIETH no luck when narrowly beaten in the Lightning resuming and seemed to have every chance in the Newmarket. Back to Sydney helps and can bounce back.

Race 9:
SPECTROSCOPE Group II placed in France and unbeaten in two Australian starts. Looks to have beaten the handicapper in on the limit and the one to beat. LE ROMAIN no match for Winx last start but no horse in Australia is. Won previous three and drawn to get a lovely run behind a solid speed. Right in the mix. HAPPY CLAPPER returned to the winner’s list with a soft win in the Newmarket at Newcastle. Beat all but Winx this race last year. Gets the chance to go one better. ANTONIO GIUSEPPE hasn’t quite seen out 2000m last two after looking the winner straightening in the Ranvet last start. No surprise to see him run a huge race back to the mile.

Race 10:
HIGH IMPULSE 30-days since an impressive maiden win at Hawkesbury. Kept up to the mark with a recent trial placing at Warwick Farm and looks right up to a race like this. MULL OVER Newcastle maiden winner at third career outing last start. Plenty of scope for improvement and the step up to 2000m looks a plus. LA CHATTE still a maiden but runner-up three from four. Came from a mile back when runner-up at Kembla last start. Crying out for the step up in distance and has to be respected with the Godolphin polish. FALLACY hit the line strongly to win a Doomben maiden last start. Hard to line the form up but plenty of respect for the stable.
