Man Utd vs. Chelsea

Chelsea in the head-to-head at 2.25 (bet365)

This is primarily a bet against Manchester United. They’ve lost three of their last four and conceded 9 goals in their last three games. Even Norwich, who are ranked dead last for goals this season, scored twice at Old Trafford in United’s last home game. Man Utd have gone 0-0-4 as the home underdog over the last 12 months while Chelsea have gone 11-2-2 as the away favourite. Chelsea have won their last four away games.

Watford vs. Burnley

Burnley in the head-to-head at 2.75 (Picklebet)

Watford have lost ten consecutive home games and they are now virtually relegated. Burnley have picked up seven points from three games since parting ways with manager Sean Dyche and they sit outside the bottom three for the first time since Gameweek 3.

Leeds vs. Man City

Man City in the head-to-head at 1.31 (Picklebet)

Leeds are on a five-game unbeaten streak but they needed a bit of luck against Wolves and their other four opponents are ranked 13th or below. Leeds have gone 1-0-6 as the home underdog over the last 12 months and they lost 0-7 to Man City earlier in the season. Man City have gone 13-3-2 away from home over the last 12 months and their last two wins coming into this game were by 3+ margins. Leeds look far better defensively under new manager Jesse Marsch, so I will stay clear of the handicap and simply back Man City in the head-to-head.

Tottenham vs. Leicester City

Tottenham in the head-to-head at 1.47 (Picklebet)

Both sides have wobbled in recent weeks but I’m siding with Tottenham because they have more to play for. They need to keep winning in their quest for a Champions League spot, while Leicester City are both safe from relegation and out of contention for the Europa League. Tottenham have gone 11-0-4 as the home favourite over the last 12 months while Leicester City have gone 0-4-9 as the away underdog.

Man Utd vs. Brentford

Note: at the time of writing Man Utd have yet to play their Thursday night fixture against Chelsea.

Brentford in the head-to-head at 4.75 (bet365)
Brentford +0.5 at 2.10 (bet365)

Man Utd have lost three of their last four games and they’re backing up after playing Chelsea while Brentford have had over a week off. United only managed to beat Norwich 3-2 and they also put in a listless display in their defeat to the struggling Everton. Brentford have hit a fine run of form with five wins in their last seven games and three wins in their last four games. Brentford have won three of their last four away games, which included a 4-1 win over Chelsea. In their most recent fixture Brentford restricted Tottenham – the 4th highest scoring team in the league – to zero shots on target.
