Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 7:
VANNA GIRL (8) Displayed potential when winning last run at Gold Coast and very competitive this preparation. Likely to get a nice run behind the speed. Looks a winning hope. PROFIT (1) Fought on well to win last start at Sunshine Coast but carrying more weight than last time. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Been in the money 5 from 6 attempts this preparation. Serious player. BALLISTIC BOY (2) Game effort to win last time at Sunshine Coast and racing consistently this campaign. Should enjoy a cosy run off the pace. Strong claims. SUPERGIANT (6) Having third run back from a spell. Left nothing to chance when winning last start at Ipswich but racing in stronger company. Could work into placings.

Race 8:
KEMENTARI (1) Did well to run into 3rd last time at Randwick and gets a nice run behind the speed. Big chance. VEGA ONE (5) Won narrowly two runs back at Gold Coast and second up. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Prominent showing expected and won’t be far off them. VICTOREM (2) Winner three runs back at Eagle Farm but resuming after a break. Should be swooping on the field late. Worth a ticket. OUTBACK BARBIE (8) Races well fresh winning 3 from 5 starts. Game effort to win last start at Gold Coast and finishes off strongly. Keep in mind

bet365 – Suggested Play:

Race 7: Vanna Girl
Race 8: Vega One

BetEasy – Race Synopsis:

Race 7:
VANNA GIRL (8) is a filly on the up. She made it three wins from her past four when proving too strong at Gold Coast last outing. Has the ability to settle on pace so should get the favours on the fence and is unbeaten at this distance. Strong claims. BALLISTIC BOY (2) hit the line well to score a win over this distance last start. Returns to a course where he is proven and should be strong again late. PROFIT (1) put a couple of costly defeats behind him when steaming home for a last-stride win last time. May have his confidence back. MISS PENFOLD (13) is improving with racing and ran on well to place last start. Keep her safe. JOLIETTE (10) steps up in grade but winning form should be respected.

Race 8:
Nothing went right for VEGA ONE (5) first up when he drifted back to last and was held up but still managed to run on for a 1L fourth despite not being fully tested. That was a good return and he usually races well second up. Has a strong record here and can atone. KEMENTARI (1) is classy and has done well to place at Group 3 level at both runs back from a year on the sidelines. He may be looking for further now but hasn’t missed a place third up and should be fitter. Definitely good enough. TAMBO’S MATE (9) has given a good sight at both runs since a spell when beaten less than a length. Proven third up and has won four from nine at this distance. Can run a race. OUTBACK BARBIE (8) is a good mare who has won three from five fresh. She should be ready to go off a trial win. VICTOREM (2) resumes off a solid trial and hasn’t missed a place here. Include.

9. Tambo’s Mate (2 stars)

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 7:
Doesn’t appear to be any speed in this Listed affair with only Supergiant & Joliette having any on-pace tendencies, wouldn’t class either as ‘leaders’ though, this could prove to be very tactical with horses we don’t normally see up front rolling forward? Strongest form in the race is with the Chris Anderson pair PROFIT/BALLISTIC BOY & the Team Edmonds filly VANNA GIRL, they all draw well & whichever of the trio lands the better run handy to the speed likely wins! Going to lean VANNA GIRL from the inside alley. Of the others MISS PENFOLD has shown a bit, awkward gate likely to be running on.
Selections: 8. Vanna Girl (top tip), 1. Profit, 2. Ballistic Boy, 13. Miss Penfold

Race 8:
Feature race of the day at Group 3 level, Deep Image & Mishani Hustler the main speed over Tambo’s Mate who will push forward from the awkward gate. Parked right behind the trio likely gaining the perfect run will be OUTBACK BARBIE who is nice & fresh resuming from a break. She’s trialled well & her first up form is her best form, she’s won 3 of 5 & very nearly could have won the other couple as well! Stablemate VEGA ONE will settle back from the wide alley, traffic problems fresh will be charging home late. I’ll include KEMENTARI who James Cummings rates as his best Stradbroke chance.
Selections: 8. Outback Barbie (value bet), 5. Vega One, 1. Kementari, 6. Deep Image

Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 2:
ECUMENICAL (7) Got the prize when winning last time at this course. Strong form this campaign winning 3 from 4 starts. Will take some beating today. INDICTMENT (3) Showed a good turn of foot when 3rd last run at Flemington and gets a favourable barrier. Should get a lovely cart into it from just behind the pace. Should take beating. CROWN MINT (1) Fought on well to win two runs back at Sandown. No shock to see a win. VIOLINIST (9) Improved when 4th last time at the track and having second race start. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Chance in this field so include in exotics.

Race 6:
KOOWEERUP (6) Made considerable ground when 3rd last run at Flemington and expected to be flashing home. Inclined to respect any betting moves and presents good prospects. DONE BY ME (8) Ran well when 3rd last run at this track. Respect against this field. REALLY DISCREET (11) Did its best work late when 2nd last time at this course. Looks to have a good chance of placing. EXCELIDA (7) Good win two runs back at Sandown. Very strong each way claims.

Race 8:
DALASAN (1) Winner last run here in the Chairmans Stakes. Shows good finishing speed. Looks well suited in this race. WARNING (2) Produced an eye catching run when 3rd last start at this track in the Chairmans Stakes. Winning prospect. RUSSIAN CAMELOT (4) Having third run back from a spell. Pulled away to win last time at Pakenham and suited by the weight drop. This field suits. MOONLIGHT MAID (12) Racing for the second time this week. Worked hard to finish 2nd last start at this track in the Australasian Oaks. Some place claims.

bet365 – Suggested Play:

Race 2: Indictment and Violinist
Race 6: Kooweerup, saving on Quantum Mechanic
Race 8: Moonlight Maid – each-way

BetEasy – Race Synopsis:

Race 2:
This is a SA Sires’ Produce Stakes without many strong form lines. ECUMENICAL (7) at least has won 3 from 4 and won the two local lead ups. You would have to think she will get the added furlong from a nice draw. INDICTMENT (3) has the form against a better field. He didn’t miss by much last run. He will race much closer today. CROWN MINT (1) can only improve and is from a strong stable. Just the barrier is the worry. VIOLINIST (9) can only get better off one run and should love the added ground. THE LAST CHARGE (2) might be the one to go forward here.

Race 6:
KOOWEERUP (6) has taken a while to get back to her best but that might have been here. She rattled late at Flemington and the mile only suits more. This is the right race for her. GAME KEEPER (2) has found his true form since a spell. He got back last month and attacked the line. Will enjoy the trip. HYPERCANE (3) gets some blinkers on now and looks a candidate for them. Can improve today. REALLY DISCREET (11) found the line nicely two weeks back. Has been a strange prep though. QUANTUM MECHANIC (10) comes off a provincial win but you must respect the trainers. Can lift again.

Race 8:
The South Australian Derby can produce a good horse and we should get one here. RUSSIAN CAMELOT (4) has not had the best of preps for this but his talent is there. Good in the Spring, he is bred to only get better as he gets older. It was a weak race he won last time but it was the manner of that. Stable are just firing so well. DALASAN (1) does not know how to run a bad one. Now that he has finally found ground, he’s winning. He does love Morphettville. WARNING (2) chases two Derbies. At his best he could well have the goods. The barrier will help today. MOONLIGHT MAID (12) is a filly going places and was so tough in the Oaks. SAINT EUSTACE (6) probably wants further but is a stayer of the future.

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 2:
CROWN MINT worked to the line strongly to finish second in the Breeders Stakes here last time. The step up to 1400m looks ideal. Victorian visitor INDICTMENT finished a close third to Flying Award over this trip at Flemington at his second outing. ECUMENICAL was having her first run beyond 1050m when she took out the group 3 Breeders a fortnight ago. ICHIBANSAN is bred to appreciate further. Don’t be surprised to see him improve over this journey.
Selections: 1. Crown Mint (top tip), 3. Indictment, 7. Ecumenical, 8. Bribery

Race 6:
DONE BY ME didn’t have the best of luck when third to Wild Vixen in the Nitschke a fortnight ago. She looks ready to tackle the longer trip. KOOWEERUP ran home hard from the tail of the field to finish a close third at Flemington second up. EXCELIDA (also accepted to run at Caulfield today) hit the line well here last start and looks suited stepping up to 1600m. REALLY DISCREET has performed well in all three runs back from a spell however it has been more than 12 months since she last tasted success.
Selections: 8. Done By Me (top tip), 6. Kooweerup, 7. Excelida, 12. Night Passage

Race 8:
DALASAN has won his past two here, the latest in the Charimans a fortnight ago. He gives every indication that the longer trip will suit. RUSSIAN CAMELOT creates plenty of interest. He easily accounted for the older horses at Pakenham second up despite having to lump 61.5kg. SAINT EUSTACE ran a terrific race in the VRC St Leger when stepping up quickly in distance. His effort in the Port Adelaide Guineas the start prior was quite okay. WARNING was seen doing his best work late in the Chairmans when dropping back in distance. He won last year’s Victoria Derby at his only run over this trip.
Selections: 1. Dalasan (top tip), 4. Russian Camelot, 6. Saint Eustace, 2. Warning

Race 8: No. 2 Deprive

Unibet – Race Comments:

Race 7:
GREYSFUL GLAMOUR (6) Overrun late when 2nd last time at this course and should be going forward early. Been in the money 3 from 4 attempts this campaign. Among better hopes. BEST OF DAYS (2) Started $6 and finished 3l from the winner at this venue last run on a good surface. Likely to race off the speed. Would like to see betting push before considering. BOTTEGA (17) Rocketed home into 2nd last time at the track. Possesses very good finishing speed. Don’t leave out of trifectas. YULONG PRINCE (1) Did well to run into 2nd three runs back at Rosehill. Won’t be far away and represents an each way player.

Race 8:
GREYWORM (3) Got the prize when winning last start around here and shows good early pace. Going well this campaign winning 2 from 3 attempts. Looks the winner on initial assessment. DEPRIVE (2) Started $4.6 and finished 4l from the winner at the track last run on a good surface but solid performer at this trip in the past. Finishes off strongly. No surprise to see a forward showing and one of the main hopes in this race. SNITZ (8) Nice effort when winning last time around here and second up from a spell. Should muster plenty of early speed. Expected to fight out the finish. TACTICAL ADVANTAGE (1) Brave effort to win last start at Rosehill. Will be motoring home late. Warrants a bet.

bet365 – Suggested Play:

Race 7: Bottega
Race 8: Snitz

BetEasy – Race Synopsis:

Race 7:
BOTTEGA (17) was no match for the smart Kinane last start but still closed off well and appears very well placed down in the weights. No favours with the draw, but is likely to get back anyway, will just need a back to follow coming into the straight. GREYSFUL GLAMOUR (6) continued her good run of form last start when only going down narrowly in the JRA Plate. Rates well off that, should lead and be in this for a long way. YULONG PRINCE (1) was caught wide throughout last start but still closed off well and has drawn to settle a lot closer. Should be at his top now. BRIMHAM ROCKS (4) was a real eye catcher first up and JMac sticks, no luck with the draw, but still has to be respected.

BetEasy – The King’s Tips:

Race 7:
13. Ilwendo (3 stars)
18. Costello (3 stars)
5. The Lord Mayor (3 stars)
6. Greysful Glamour (3 stars)

Race 8:
3. Greyworm (3 stars)
8. Snitz (3 stars)
1. Tactical Advantage (3 stars)
2. Deprive (2 stars)

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:

Race 7:
Expect 6 to lead 9 in this Randwick running of the Gosford Cup. GREYSFUL GLAMOUR not only should get the right kind of lead but brings in solid form recently. A stakes winner at the start of this prep, her latest two placings have seen her step up to this trip well enough to have her as a natural top selection. BEST OF DAYS needs to make up a few lengths on her but is 4th-up and could potentially narrow the margin at the very least. 17 and 18 have other options if they don’t get the scratchings to make this field but would respect both if they do get in.
Selections: 6. Greysful Glamour (top tip), 2. Best Of Days, 17. Bottega, 18. Costello

Race 8:
3 and 8 the leaders. 10 and 9 next in line. It was well documented on the day that GREYWORM held at bay a bank of Group One winners when taking out the Hall Mark here a few weeks ago. This is easier but up to just shy of 60 kilos he goes. Can control though and will take plenty of catching. DEPRIVE had won all his Randwick appearances before this prep. Is that a sign he is a bit below his best? He did start shorter than GREYWORM and covered a bit of ground. Tough task to turn tables though. TACTICAL ADVANTAGE wins 1 in 3 across a long career and while he goes to 1200m (and there will be some that query that) he tends to come with a big finish late.
Selections: 3. Greyworm (top tip), 2. Deprive, 1. Tactical Advantage, 8. Snitz
