History, Location and Licence
Launched in late 2021, Bet Right is an Australian-owned and operated bookmaker that is licensed by the Northern Territory Racing Commission. The service is operated by IRPSX Pty Ltd (ABN 41 087 708 898), which was first registered in 1999.1 IRPSX is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BetTube Corporation Pty Limited (ABN 63 635 285 326), which was first registered in 2019.2 IRPSX is the Northern Territory Licence holder,3 while BetTube is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) provider for wagering and sports entertainment products.4 BetTube is based in Sydney and is listed on the National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSX: BOX).5
Bet Right was founded by chairman and CEO Anthony Waller. Waller worked with Michael Sullivan to found Sportingbet, which grew to be Australia’s largest bookmaker on turnover before it was sold to William Hill in 2013.6
Bet Right is an approved sports betting operator of the AFL, Cricket Australia, Football Australia, the NRL, Rugby AU and Tennis Australia.

Betting Interface and Website Layout
The Bet Right website employs a responsive design that tailors the display to the device you’re using. This review will focus on the layout that is displayed to PC & laptop users.
The website employs a classic three-column layout. Navigation is displayed on the left, markets and odds are provided in the centre and the betting slip is displayed on the right. A search box, account info link and deposit button are provided at the top of the page.
A list of ‘Popular Now’ sports are displayed by default. Icons are displayed next to leagues that support same-game multis. When you click on Sports, a full list of available sports is displayed in the centre column. If you select a popular sport such as soccer, a nested list of leagues is displayed in the centre column, organised by country.
Overall, the navigation is incredibly intuitive and beginner-friendly.
When a league is selected the upcoming fixtures are displayed by default. Where available, futures markets are available as a separate tab. Navigation breadcrumbs are provided at the top of the centre column.
The number of markets is listed at the top of each fixture and a same-game multi icon is displayed next to fixtures for which same-game multi betting is supported. A ‘Cash Out’ logo is displayed for leagues where cashing out is possible. Your cash out offers are displayed in the pending bets area.
When a fixture is selected the centre column is split into two, with a list of other fixtures displayed on the left and the chosen fixture’s odds displayed on the right.
The markets are displayed in a tabs by category, such as Margins, Totals, First Half and Goalscorer. The popular markets are displayed by default. To save on scrolling, the other categories are closed by default.
Selections that have already been added to the betting slip are highlighted in pink.
If offered, a Build SGM (same-game multi) button is displayed at the bottom of the screen.
The betting slip is highly intuitive and feature-packed.
When a stake is entered the possible payout is displayed, both for each selection and for the entire betting slip. You can opt to enter one stake that applies to all single selections.
When multiple selections are added a Multi option is provided at the top of the screen. If three or more selections are added then exotics multi options appear such as Trixie, Patent and Doubles. Next to each exotic multi name is the number of legs involved. Also shown is an info icon that provides the list of bets that each exotic multi entails. For example, if there are three items in your slip one option will be “Patent – 7 Combos”. The info button for that option states “7 bets: 3 singles, 3 doubles and a treble.”
The stake entered for an exotic multi is for the entire multi and not per leg. For example, if you enter $7.00 as the stake for a Patent, then that bet would consist of seven $1.00 legs.
Bookmaker Margin
The bookmaker margin (overround) is a measure of the bookmaker’s profit margin for an event and is a hidden transaction cost for punters. This profit is how bookmakers finance their services but bookmakers vary in the margins they apply. From a punter’s perspective, the lower the margin, the better. Learn more about bookmaker margins.
Bet Right was not included in our most recent bookmaker margins survey. Generally the margins appear to be in line with other Australian bookmakers, with 1.90 standard lines on the AFL and NRL.
One noteworthy feature is the service offers 1.93 NBA and NFL lines starting one hour prior to kickoff.

Sports Leagues and Markets
The range of leagues supported is strong and the number of markets per fixture is surprisingly high. With over 200 markets for AFL and MLB fixtures, Bet Right is right up there with the world’s largest bookmakers.

Horse Racing
Bet Right offers just about everything you could ask for from a race betting perspective.
Best tote exotics are offered for all Quaddies, Quinellas, Exactas, Trifectas & First Fours placed at Sydney and Melbourne metro thoroughbred venues.
At selected venues, an RD+ Win tote is offered. This pays a dividend equal to Best Tote+SP + 3%.
On Bet Right’s Discord server, members can access a “Pro Trades” channel, where you can view actual bets made by professionals using Bet Right. Their marketing states: “This isn’t just betting with mates. This is betting with Pros.”
The Bet Right racing interface enables you to toggle on and off the display of thoroughbred, harness and greyhounds venues, as well as the display of international venues.
One innovative feature is you can select Fixed, which then highlights the races for which fixed odds are available.
Daily racing specials for selected racecards are offered. These enable you to wager on the number of race wins and highest race wins for the jockeys and trainers.
The odds display is feature-packed. Colour-coded odds flashes indicate odds movements. Tips, speed maps, form guides and odds fluctuations are provided and estimated tote odds are displayed.
Fractional betting is supported for exotics and same-race multis are offered at selected venues.
Right Price Execution (RPX)
Bet Right offers a new Right Price Execution (RPX) product on racing. RPX guarantees that at the time you place your bet, if Bet Right’s Fixed Win price is less than the highest Fixed Win price offered by any of the Big 3 (Sportsbet, TAB & Ladbrokes), Bet Right will match the highest odds on winnings up to $300.
Once you place your bet you will be informed on whether your odds have been boosted to match higher available odds with any of the Big 3.
RPX is available on all Australian Thoroughbred, Greyhound and Harness racing, 30 minutes prior to the jump.
RPX is also available on the win portion of fixed each-way bets.

Bottom Line
Launched by Anthony Waller, a well established name in the betting industry, Bet Right is a refreshing sight given the ever-increasing number of identically-featured bookmakers that share the same betting platform. Bet Right instead employs its own innovative BetTube platform, which the parent company owns and operates. Both the sports and racing interfaces are feature-packed and we’ve been pleasantly surprised by the strong selection of markets per fixture. Another strength of Bet Right is its excellent customer service. Our email enquiry was responded to quickly and with a surprising level of detail and thoughtfulness. Bet Right offers an abundance of other means of communication. This includes a Discord server, through which members can also view pro trading activity. The odds are competitive and NBA & NFL punters will appreciate the 1.93 main handicaps that are launched one hour prior to kickoff. Racing enthusiasts will enjoy the RPX (best fixed odds matching) and RD+ (Best Tote+SP + 3%) products. The broad range of features and markets, combined with the intuitive interface, make the service suitable as a standalone membership. Bet Right is well worth considering for punters of all experience levels.
